We cannot say enough good things about Christian. He was polite, approachable, well-mannered, very informative and, most of all, honest. By the time he got done with his diagnosis, everyone agreed it would cost us less to buy a new unit than it would be to dump the money in to fix the old one. That is what we did. And we thank Christian for showing us options. I am not sure who trained this guy, but he is the real deal. Naturally, we hope we don't have to see you too often. Date of service: March 21, 2025 Really appreciated that I could schedule an appointment online with Mr Appliance through their website as I tend to be crazy busy during working hours and loathe leaving voicemails for companies and playing phone tag. Jalen with Mr Appliance also came when they said they would come and resolved the issue quickly and easily. The issue was a grinding noise that our less than three year old dryer was making. an obvious sign that something was not right. Jalen suspected a potential blower motor issue and got to work on resolving it. 25 minutes later the problem was fixed: Excess lint buildup that got through the lint trip and into the machine, causing the motor to have to work harder than it needed to. He showed me all of the lint he pulled out, but he piled it up on the runner below the dryer and on the top of our glass-topped washing machine, requiring me to clean off the washer and wash the runner. In addition, it was $243 for less than a half hour of his time. If the service call is $129, that would make the hourly rate $200 for Mr Appliance--I am clearly in the wrong line of work! Unfortunately I can't really give more than three stars given the cost and cleanup from the appointment. read more

Price gouging!!!! Said it would be just under $600 for an LG igniter. When I called the office after, they said it would be $333, then somewhere around $400 when I talked with someone else. Wow. Just wow. I'm sure they're happy they received my $150 diagnostic charge. If I owned this company I would refund that charge. read more

Second time we had them over; first was to fix oven thermostat, today was to replace a defective refrigerator door. Both visits were scheduled and completed quickly and the price was much lower than replacing appliances. Very happy with this service! read more

Mr. Appliance is the preferred vendor for Bosch dishwashers. I was referred to them by Bosch customer service who even made the initial contact for us! We had two separate issues a month apart. First, the bottom arm that distributes water needed to be replaced, then the pump bc it wasn't draining. Both service calls were scheduled promptly with good follow up in the way of reminders. Liked the fact that the pictures of the servicemen were texted to us in advanced and they called when they were on the way. Parts ordered for the repairs came in quickly (2 days) and the return visits for repair were also scheduled promptly. Will use again. read more

Appliance Neighborly company. I have a Bosch dishwasher It is only 1 year old. I called Mr appliance. The tech Jared came out and said if he couldn't get the dishwasher to repeat what was happening to me, he couldn't fix it. I told him what the error code was and he sat in front of the dishwasher while it ran. I explained the problem was intermittent and told him what the error code was. He did remove the air gap and poked a wire down it and that seemed to work. He did not remove the dishwasher, or any plumbing. He told me if it happens again he would come out and waive the $160 service fee if I called within 30 days. He also said don't do anything so HE could see the error code. He said leave the water in it and warned it would begin to smell. When it happened again I called within the 30 days and they told me to call an electrician. I knew it wasn't an electrical issue. I called Bosch and spoke with Alba who knew what the error code was. She emailed me what to do to fix it. I took the plumbing apart and found a piece of plastic and a few lemon seeds in the air gap line. I contacted them for a refund and they refused saying Jared did a diagnosis. If I had called an electrician I would have been out more money and my dishwasher would still be working improperly. This is wrong and a refund should be issued. I can not say enough how happy I am with the professionalism of Mr. Appliance of Milwaukee. Our dishwasher broke last week. This is our first time having an appliance break down on us so after getting some recommendations of repairmen we called two companies. One that couldn't get us in until 2-3 weeks from now and Mr. Appliance. We were able to get an appointment two days later with Mr. Appliance. They had a cancellation so let us know they had a cancellation so they could come a day earlier than scheduled. That was great news. I am very impressed with the level of customer service that my husband and I received from everyone we encountered at Mr. Appliance. After we made our appointment they text us a picture of the service professional who would be coming to our house with a reminder of the date and time of when to expect them. They also included a few paragraphs on how they were going to try to keep everyone safe during the COVID-19 situation. The day of the appointment I received a text notification saying they were on their way and a reminder of who the service professional was who was coming. When the service professional came he was able to diagnose the problem with the dishwasher almost immediately and was able to give an estimate of how much the part and labor would be. As it turns out the particular part we needed is quite pricy and the repair would be quite expensive as well. We decided to not go with any repairs but now we know what the issue was and he made some recommendations on new brands to purchase. Since in total he was here for maybe 15 minutes he asked if there was anything else we needed to be looked at and he was able to give us some tips on our stove. All in all I am very happy with the service that was provided today even if it isn't the news we were hoping for. If I have any appliance issues again I will call Mr. Appliance of Milwaukee back. read more

I would give a 0 if possible. At every step of the way they were not helpful and had horrendous communication. I have a broken fridge. I called and let them know what the issue was, they said they took notes and would send someone out. It took them 3 days to get to me, ended up being over an hour late to the initial meeting. They had to order a part and said they could be back on Tuesday, did not come until Wednesday to install that part. I called them that afternoon to tell them the fridge was still broken and was having the exact same issue I called them about. They said they would send someone that afternoon, never put me on the schedule so now I am waiting another day to start this process over. The people in the office were note helpful, however the person who actually came to work on the fridge was wonderful. The timeline on their website is not correct, it takes significantly longer - I am on day 9 and still have a broken fridge and freezer. read more

First of all person who was suppose be here, it wasn't him and the guy said I'm not an ax murderer. Then the diagnosis took about 10 minutes and the bill was estimated at 319.00 for and idler arm. I asked if service charge was taken off, he said no.i told him that according to ad 129 service charge would be taken off ,if they got the job. Didn't make sense,he didn't want to discuss it with me, I said I wouldn't even pay for the service call, because it wasn't as advertised. So, 1 month after spending $400 for the repair of my washer...the same thing happened. Same guy came out...kept swearing as he looked under the wash machine (LG). Not very professional. Also made a rude comment about how we handled our dog who was barking at him (dogs have good taste). He finally determined the parts he replaced before were ok, not the control computer was not working. Now, the washer acted THE SAME WAY as it did a month ago. Turning itself on at random times. Had he looked further THEN, he could have seen the other issue and saved me $400. They wanted another $375 to fix it. Nope. Went out and bought a used washer for $240. I'm moving in 3 months and am leaving it here. I called this place because it was female owed. Perhaps they need female techs too. Save your money, go elsewhere or buy refurbished. read more

I loved the fact that they sent a picture of the serviceman so you would know, however, I was not impressed with the serviceman Kevin. His communication skills were horrible and told me I would need new shut off valves before anything could be done. I had someone come out to replace the shut off valves and was told they didn't need replacing. After inspecting my washing machine he never put in back in place which was on wood blocks to keep it in balance. I had to get help putting it back on the blocks otherwise it would throw the spin cycle off. Never got an invoice either. At the very least I would have expected him to put it back the way he found it. VERY VERY disappointed in Mr. Appliance and would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Can't speak highly enough about Mr. Appliance. When our dryer stopped working, they had a service tech at our house the same day. The dryer was repaired that day and at a fair price. When the dryer stopped working again a few months later, they fulfilled their warranty obligations and came out to try and fix the problem. The service tech, Josh, took the dryer apart and tested it. He told us that it was fixable, but that it would be cheaper to purchase a new dryer. We were not charged for the service call. Scheduling is easy and service is prompt. Highly recommend and I wouldn't hesitate to use Mr. Appliance again in the future. read more

Mr. Appliance was very responsive and sent someone out right away when I needed my dishwasher fixed. The technician was very knowledgable and walked me through everything he was doing. My husband wasn't home at the time, but I felt safe and felt like the technician was honest with what needed to be fixed, how much it was going to cost and the timeline we were looking at. The price was not bad either, it was less than i thought it would be. They ordered the part, came back 2 days later since it was the weekend and we needed to wait for the part to come in, and fixed my dishwasher and now it works perfectly. Our electric range (the oven) wasn't heating properly and I called Mr. Appliance for a repair. They were able to come out quickly and the technician concluded the problem was the control board. The repair was expensive (i.e. almost $500.) We debated whether to repair, or maybe buy a new range. Because the range was less than 4 years old and everything else worked, we decided on the repair. Unfortunately, the new control board didn't help, and I called the company. They sent another technician who found the problem (a loose wire) and repaired it. He said "you never needed the control board" and they refunded all the cost. In the end, the repair was about $250. The company clearly lost money, which I regret, but they were responsive, honest, and diligent. Any of us can make a mistake, and I appreciate their professionalism. We'll definitely call them again. read more

I needed my Whirlpool refrigerator to work. it was making loud noise and not keeping the temp in both comparments. The two guy said the only problem was the thermometer not the noise. so I consented an paid 307.oo + (yikes) + change for them to change my thermometer. Now first of all a Whirlpool thermometer purchased from Sunberg on Burnhan in Milwaukee does not cost this much. In fact it costs less than $50. I hope that my refrigerator works and I will return to amend this report. The purpose of writing this Yelp post is to put consumers on notice that they are expensive. ! I only chose 1 star because 0 was not an option. Mr. Appliance was contracted through our home warranty company to service our failing dishwasher. After their repair of a new pump and other parts, I noticed screws they had installed were laying in bottom of the dishwasher after I ran it, the unit was no long secured within the cabinet structure and worst of all, is LEAKING THROUGH MY SUBFLOOR INTO THE BASEMENT SOAKING THE SUBFLOOR AREA TO WHICH ITS POWER SOURCE IS AFIXED. By the way, the original call was for motor noise and insufficient cleaning, it was not leaking before they touched it. We arranged an appointment for today, and our doorbell rang at 8 am. I jumped out of bed and raced to the door...the Mr. Appliance van was parked outside, but no one was at the door...since service providers often sit in their trucks to conduct business on their phones or laptops, I went about getting the kids ready and looked again...truck still there, no one at the door. Whoever my husband spoke with told him I never came to the door...my husband is home, he knows I went to the door and checked twice. Then the person he was speaking with said they were refusing to look at the issue they caused, told my husband they didn't cut the housing to fit the pump and used the word "LIAR" in reference to my husband when he told the man we both stood here watching the training technician and the trainer work and my husband provided the tool they used to do the cutting...the man who said that didn't happen and called my husband a lair (very specifically a "f***ing liar) was not here during any of the repairs. read more

Monday, 05/01/2023 Tom from Mr. Appliance was scheduled to come out and take a look at one of my appliance. When I got to the gate door where Tom was standing to let him in he appeared be upset because I had mistakenly gave him the wrong address. I did apologize for my mistake. Walking to my unit. Tom through his arm around me which made me feel very uncomfortable. He put his arm around me as we were walking back to my unit saying not to worry about it (the mistake I made). His arm round me lasted approximately 3 seconds, then he dropped his arm. I was glad my cousin was over during that time because I was not going to be comfortable with him alone. In my mind I was thinking what is he doing?!?! There are boundaries people just don't cross with other individuals. I will be contacting Mr Appliance and also letting them know as well. read more

I've used Mr. Appliance twice now for our refrigerator and dishwasher. Both times we received excellent advice and prompt service! The technician actually saved us over $300 for the repair of the dishwasher by simply finding a broken wire instead of replacing a part. Definitely will use them again! read more

I contacted Mr. Appliance for an oven repair (igniter replacement) on a Friday, and they got a service technician (Jalen) to my home the following Monday afternoon. I was impressed with the quick response). Jalen replaced the igniter (I had given the phone person my stove make and model). The cost for the igniter replacement was $300, almost $120 more than the last replacement in 2019 by a different appliance repair company. Although the oven was igniting when the technician left, I found the oven would not hold the temperature which continually dropped until it stayed at 180 degrees. There was a 1 year guarantee on parts and labor, so I called Mr. Appliance back a few days later, and Jalen returned. He realigned the same igniter and said if it continued to show problems, Mr. Appliance would replace with a new/different igniter. I was satisfied with the response time, but based upon the pricing, I cannot recommend Mr. Appliance. read more

I am impressed with the quick response to my request to fix my noisy but working Samsung dryer. When I called the company they scheduled my non emergency appointment within 24 hrs and I loved the email confirmation with a picture of the technician coming to my house. The technician knew what he was doing and was very quick to diagnose and repair my oven. He did an excellent job technically. He was incredibly rude and angry. I had my kids at home and it was not a safe feeling. I have used them before with good but EXPENSIVE results. I have not had a repair under 450. I looked up the part that was replaced on my oven, it was 145. The rude technician pulled it up on his iPad and the cost was 443 plus tax? BE CAREFUL! They know what they are doing but at an incredibly inflated costs! The cost of the part was 145 (he pulled it up as 443?) he was at my home for 15 minutes, which makes labor 298? for 15 minutes?? Total rip off - the technician was courteous enough in doing his diagnosis of my dishwasher which was in need of repair, but wanted to charge me $435 to fix it!! My initial thought was that I could buy a new dishwasher for that price, but when I looked into the part that he said was so expensive, I could get it myself for $140 with overnight shipping! The job itself took me (someone who knows NOTHING about appliance repair) about 15 minutes to fix - absolute extortion to charge someone $435 for his time (which I did pay him $85 for despite him not actually fixing anything) and the $140 the part cost (which I'm sure would cost them much less). I was willing to overpay a bit just to get the dishwasher fixed, but this was just absurd. read more

Our GE refrigerator stopped working and we made an appt. with Mr. Appliance from Muskego, WI. A guy came to look at our fridge, called the office and after a few minutes on the phone says to my husband - I want nothing to do with that fridge and LEAVES! I rarely ever write poor reviews. I am writing this one because the way I was treated in my own home this afternoon from a technician from Mr. Appliance. I was given a 12-5 window and the call was to service an ice maker. The technician, Tom, showed up around 3:50PM. He took apart the first ice maker and said that it needed a deep cleaning but that would have to be rescheduled as it takes 1 1/2 hours to complete. I was fine with that. I asked him to check and see if he could order a kick plate for my dishwasher and he looked the part up and said its a pain to do its three parts. I still don't know if it can be done or not. Then we went upstairs and he looked at the other ice maker. He noticed it was not getting water so he asked me where the water supply was, I explained we had an RO system and showed him where it was. He tried to find the issue which I appreciated but soon he began to get very rude and nasty with his words and attitude. When I would ask him a question like could it be a blocked tube from hard water? He would rudely say I HAVE NO IDEA!!! I CAN"T GUESS I CAN"T WORK LIKE THIS!!! He became frustrated and started cursing. After taking the ice maker completely apart he then realized the water filter wasn't in correctly and became even more agitated. Tom asked me if I had an extra filter I replied no he quickly got up from the floor , looked at his watch , screamed "F**K it's already 5:00PM! He walked down to the other ice machine in the basement got the filter from there and slammed the gate on his way back up and installed that one and the ice maker began to work! I was so upset with the way he was cursing and throwing things around in frustration! Tom did apologize as he wa figuring out my bill. He said todays service would be $200 and he could come back and clean both machines for $600! I declined! When he left I immediately began to sob as I could not believe the way I was treated in my own home!! I will NEVER EVER use this company again nor will I recommend them to anyone! I understand that people have bad days but this was completely unacceptable and unprofessional! If Mr Appliance employees days are suppose to end at 5:00 PM sharp then they should stop taking calls at 3:00! Not take it out on the customer!!! In hindsight I should have asked him to leave immediately and refused to pay the bill. Tom spent 1 hour and 10 minutes here and was obnoxious and rude he actually said I frustrated him by asking to many questions!! I was merely answering the questions he was asking! Definitely the WORST customer service I have ever received! I understand everyone has a bad day but this was unbelievable! read more

Well in reading the reviews everyone had an exceptional experience however mine was less than stellar. First, he shows up without notice (appointment was between 10:10 and noon) at 9:43, by 9:51 has the issue diagnosed by 10:07 repaired and paid. Can you believe the labor cost was $210? When I called all I get is hey have to pay overhead. So in the future, I will not use them, I will go back to Lake Country. They fixed my refrigerator (new compressor, 4 hours labor) for less than 300. read more
