Slight decor updates on the inside and they have removed the pool table, which is good because the place is long and narrow and not really suited for a pool table unless you want to sacrifice a lot of seating opportunity. They are strongly promoting the western/cowboy theme, with some rather hilarious and a bit over-the-top menu item names and descriptions. The current hours shown on Yelp appear to be correct. As of this writing 12/22/25, the tavern still has a huge sign in the window showing hours that are WRONG. I was told a strange story that the sign was put up by a beer distributor and can only be removed by them. (?) We've been twice, once just for a beer and to look around, second time for a meal. The staff seem to be well trained and higher quality of service people than what was here in the last incarnation. They tell me that the owners are very involved and want customer feedback. I gave them some right away after learning that the cole slaw comes from the same source as the old owners got it. It is gross and disgusting out of a plastic jug. I had a bit of a laugh with them and told them how gross it was before and it has not changed. The server acknowledged another guest complained earlier that day, so the test will be, will the owners take this to heart? Either find another supplier or just take it off the menu. We both had the fish sandwiches and they were fresh and good. We plan to check back for a burger before too long and follow up on the cole slaw situation. I'm rooting for you Stable!
