    Pulled pork and sausage
    Georgia W.

Very interesting history and memorabilia from Firehouse 7 and firefighters. For apps, we got the cheese sausage dip. It was overly thick with not much flavor. The chips were way too salty. We also got an order of onion straws. They were quite good. Be aware the dip with them had quite a kick. I liked the sauce. The pulled pork was mediocre. Not bad but I think it needs more smokey flavor. Mine seemed rather dry too. The sauces seem variations on one another with increasing vinegar or added mustard or pepper sauce. They also lacked depth of flavor. The smoked sausage has very little smokiness. I didnt particularly like the flavor of the sausage. It reminded me more of a breakfast sausage flavor than a smoked sausage. The corn bread is quite good. More like a yellow cake in flavor.

It was our first time coming here. The burnt ends (6/10) were very rich and saucy. The consistency of each piece varied, as well. Some pieces were tough and dry and others were perfectly tender and moist. The green beans (7/10) were kind of bland. The mashed potatoes (9/10) were great, but could have used a tad more gravy! The cornbread (10/10) was the best I've ever had and our whole family enjoyed that the most! Our five year old had a side of Mac n cheese (8/10) that was pretty good but a little on the drier side. Overall, I'd return back here again and give other meats on the menu a chance. I thought the interior was neat and they even have a drive thru!

    Pulled chicken salad

Had lunch at Company 7 BBQ in Englewood. I got the Smokehouse Salad with chicken. The salad was really good, but I would have preferred more actual salad to chicken. The chicken was really juicy, which is great if you plan to eat the entire salad in one sitting. The salad is pretty large, so I took most of it to go, and it didn't last long, even just until later that evening, due to the juices wilting everything as it sat in the fridge. I'm not sure how they fix their salads to go, but if ordering carryout, or even taking leftovers home, I would definitely ask for the meat to be boxed separately from the veggies. The person I was with, had the chicken tenders and said that they were dry and overcooked, but they still managed to clear their plate. There was also a brisket meal ordered to go, but I didn't hear how that went over. Vegetarian options are extremely limited. The one meal specifically marked as a vegetarian entree on the menu, is just a choice of five side items. Our service was great. There were just two bartenders on duty, with one of them taking all of the dining room tables as well. He stayed on top of our refills and any additional sides or extras that we asked for. I did enjoy my salad, but just thought that I would make note of a couple of things for carryout orders and dietary restrictions. Definitely not a place for everyone, but enjoyable for those with open diets.

    Burnt ends

Fantastic meat, but there's more to good bbq than just the meat. I had burnt ends, pulled pork, Mac and cheese, Coleslaw, and cornbread. The meat was fantastic. Second best I've ever had, and that's saying a lot. The pulled pork, without sauce, was flavorful. Burnt ends were tender, with just the right amount of sweet. Unfortunately the sides left me longing. The Mac and cheese was missing something. Can't quite put my finger on it. Coleslaw was kind of bland. I hardly ate the cornbread. At the recommendation of the bartender, I got the house-brewed Hefeweizen. That was great. Bbq sauces were solidly okay, but nothing to rave about. If you like hot, ask for the sauce they keep behind the counter. That was great. The bar is filled with fireman memorabilia, and has an entire firetruck inside. Loved that.

We stopped her for lunch on a cross country drive. Super nice staff and the rib meat sandwich, which my husband had, was outstanding. I had read mixed reviews and so just ordered a baked potato and the collard greens, which were very solid but, having had a bite of my husband's sandwich, I'm sorry I didn't add that in too! Plus we got to watch a football game on tv. Will have to come back. Highly recommend this place!

Absolutely PERFECT! Stopped here while driving through Ohio and I'm glad I did. Food was perfect, sauces were amazing, service was friendly and FAST, bathroom smelled good, server brought water for my dog, and best of all, my kids ate quickly for a change. (Plus it's special-needs friendly.) This place deserves EVERY trophy and award it has showcased in its lobby hands down.

Just a few suggestions are needed: I stopped in for both a drink and a meal and to my surprise was told by the very thin female bartender, "I can only make drinks that are in the system". That was truly a new one on me. Bartenders would usually make any drink a customer asked for. If I want a mixed drink, why does it have to be only what the ingredients are in the system? That isn't customer service. In addition, the bar lacked Midori. (Common liquor) My meal was placed as ordered however the cook came out to speak to a customer and 2 mins into his conversation with what seemed to be a friend of his, he told the bartender the last ordered meal was ready. NOTE: I was the only one there who ordered food. Puzzled again... why didn't he just bring it out with him... it was already boxed. When I received my food, I received a pile 25 napkins as well. That's A LOT!! It was perceived as though, I shouldn't need to ask for any more. My seat mates who I didn't know snickered in awe. As the minutes went by, 2 more guys came in and asked what was the cost of 2 types of shots. Each time she had to walk away 5 steps over to the register to give the price. They too were perplexed as to why she didn't know the prices or why aren't they placed where customer can see them. Which brings me to the menus on the bar. Why are they in a cover like a book? Outsides of the menu are two blank pieces of white paper. You have to open that to see the menu. For better marketing, I suggest the menus go on the outside so it can be visible to anyone who sits at the bar. Otherwise it looks like pieces of white paper in a plastic cover just thrown on the bar. OR change the binder to a 1 double-sided holder OR put drink prices and liquor varieties in the empty pockets. Lastly, 1 guy at the bar brought it to my attention that the same bartender (only one working on a Wednesday evening), was washing glasses in a solution then soapy water without rinsing. Usually there are 3 dips to washing a glass and the 2nd dip should not be soapy water. He didn't want to order another beer knowing he could be drinking liquid detergent residual in his beer. This resulted in a loss of potential revenue. Never a good thing with sanitation is a known issue. Other than the above issues, food is good and the atmosphere is usually quiet. They do have karaoke on the weekends starting at 9pm but not it's highly attended for some reason.
