We hired VHS to replace our downstairs flooring and tile a small bathroom floor to ceiling. It was…read moresuppose to take about 3 days and it took about 2 weeks. The overall job was good but we had some issues. After they laid the floor my two front doors would not open because the floor was too high. They had to end up taking the doors out and redo the trim and then put them back in. The guys dented my frig when they used a furniture mover to pull it out and scratched the floor. The piece that they glued to the step and transition strip had to be reglued. The supervisor that came out was great and fixed everything. The end project was ok but it was really stressful. I think the guys were all subcontractors. I would probable not use them except for carpet.

I did call when it was time to redo my entire condo. To begin with his initial quote was very detailed and reasonable; and he did not hesitate to provide me with references. He has been willing to work with any changes and give suggestions. Finally there was another water problem with the building and he handled the clean up like the pro he is AND helped a neighboring condo too. I am still mid redo so no pictures yet. I just wanted to get a review on line because I'm impressed how he has stuck with the time line and that he has been very willing to call or respond to a call.

(Updated) We had some sewage water back up in our basement that flooded the floor of our basement…read morebathroom. We needed to pull up the basement tile, pull the toilet and sink, and sterilize the area that had been contaminated. Servpro gave us what we considered to be a reasonable itemized estimate of $750 to do the entire job, so we had them do it. As near as I can tell, they did a decent job of pulling apart our bathroom and sterilizing the area. There were 3 things that left me dissatisfied. First, we thought the estimated fee, $750, covered the whole project including putting the bathroom (toilet, sink and vanity) back together. But Servpro considers that a separate project. So we were shocked when we got another itemized estimate from them to put the bathroom back together for $3600! We thought that was outrageous so, we found another company to put the bathroom back together for under $400 - far less than the price Servpro quoted us. The 2nd issue was that the bill was $850, more than $100 above what they quoted me. I spoke to a nice woman in their billing department and said I had some questions about the itemized bill. There were some items on the bill that I didn't think belonged there. This brings us to the 3rd issue. The woman at Servpro told me that the person in charge of our project would call me back the next day and we could discuss the questions I had about the bill. Nobody called me the next day, or even the next week. Eventually I saw the futility of the situation and just paid the bill - which I'm sure is what they were hoping I'd do. I felt it was, to say the least, a questionable business practice to tell us the fee for the job was $750 but that was literally for only half the job. And then they tell us the rest of the job is $3600. And when I wanted to discuss the bill with them, I never heard back. If this experience is any guide, I cannot recommend Servpro.

My friend asked me to find someone that could do this type of work. She got two bids and we felt First Class was the one we were going to take a chance on. As it turns out we picked a winner! They arrived early and worked all day. They brought two people one for each side of the fence. They did a great job and water proofed the entire fence. If you need a power washing job I would recommend you give First Class a call. The fence looks great!
