This tobacco barn is full of magic! We stopped in on our to Wilmington and were very pleased. I highly recommend the catfish and bbq combo. The crunch on the catfish is perfection and the smoke on the bbq is delicious. The owner makes his own sauce and it's yummy! The burger was moist and fries were good. Definitely get some hushpuppies .

Found this place on a google search of restaurants on our way home from Myrtle Beach. By far the best "Sweet Tea" I've had. Atmosphere and service were awesome. The hush puppies were "Chef's kiss" Throughly enjoyed our little detour

Thought this place looked interesting! I got the flounder plate. Well nomnomnom. Fish light and crispy lightly seasoned. Perfect. Hush puppies outta this world. Slaw yummy too. 10/10. We will definitely come back. Staff was super sweet and friendly and funny. Love the decor so much to see.

First time at Roy's. We came in, other patrons outside were friendly, staff is friendly and waiting on the food. You might need to GPS this one, it's out here n the middle of nowhere (in the middle of nowheresssss) The atmosphere is friendly and a cozy, laid back well lit environment. If you want to watch tv while u eat, sit with your back to the kitchen. My daughter was watching them catch alligators on the tv. My wife LOVED their cheeseburgers and the bbq and chicken was very good. Seasoned just right

This place was just amazing. Great little find right off the road, hole in the wall with a lot of history and family run. BBQ plates were thick with good food and the sauce made on site. Hush puppies were dangerously delicious. We shared some lemon cake for a sweet finish. I will patronize here whenever I can. l look forward to trying more of their goodies.

Regular BBQ plate was amazing and plentiful! Pork was as juicy as it could have been. I wouldn't change a thing! Slaw was the perfect pairing for it! Hush puppies are bite sized deliciousness! Husband said the fried chicken was deliciously crispy on the outside while being moist and tender on the inside. He wishes he would have ordered another breast or two!! So good! Ladies were so nice and our drinks were never empty! Definitely recommend!

Roy's Country Corral. The theme & decor were very interesting & entertaining. Food , we cannot say. Never received any.

We were part of a group of 15. We asked if a group that size would be ok at this time. Hostess assured us it was fine. A few scattered tables being used. Informed that there was no BBQ, chicken, pork, beef. Other menu items looked good so we stayed. After 1hr after seated orders taken & drinks served. We socialized with our family, no concerns. 1.5hrs, No waitress returns, no refills. A member of our group sought out our waitress to ask about progress. She informed us that it would be at least an hour, to start preparing our order. Paid for our sodas, and left.

Just left Roy's after the map brought it up as a dinner option on our road trip. What a great meal and wonderful staff. The ladies were so nice! The food was plentiful and delicious. I had the chicken plate and my husband had the BBQ. Best fried chicken and hush puppies! Great prices as well! Glad we stopped!

Best BBQ and much more in the entire state and I know because of my job I travel and eat at restaurants all over the place. I promis you never ate at a more unique restaurant like this before. Family owned and operated. The food is out of this world delicious, and prices are so low. I know they could charge more because it's so delicious and you will not leave hungry, that's for sure. Maybe I'll see you there.

My husband is a wing connoisseur, and he ordered the 10-piece naked wings in buffalo sauce, and I decided to try the frogs leg. Both were excellent appetizers, and we ordered the Philly cheesesteak with sweet potato fries, and a shrimp quesadilla. Hubby loved his cheesesteak, and I can honestly say that the shrimp quesadilla was the best one I've ever had. We noticed lots of families eating and the waiter we had was terrific. We would definitely stop again if in the area. Only thing missing is Yuengling beer on tap - only got one in a bottle.

When we pulled into the parking lot, it was packed, which we took as a good sign. Inside, the restaurant was very busy. The hostess seated us and mentioned they were offering a pizza bar for lunch that day. She took our drink order and then came back to take our food order. My wife ordered the steak and cheese with curly fries, and I had the cowboy burger with onion rings. My wife said the steak and cheese was good, though the curly fries lacked seasoning. My burger was a little different than expected -- it comes on grilled Texas toast -- but it was still good, just a bit heavy on the bread. The onion rings, however, were very good. We asked our waitress about the pizza, and she explained that there used to be a pizza place across the street that was always busy. The owner of Arnold's also owned that pizza place, and after it closed and became a gas station, they decided to bring the pizza to Arnold's. She said they just started serving pizza a few weeks ago and have been very busy since adding it. One odd thing worth mentioning was the restroom. It was freezing cold, almost uncomfortable, and when you go to wash your hands there's a sign warning about extremely hot water, but no hot water came out at all. My wife said the women's restroom was the same way. On our way out, we walked past the pizza bar. The pizza looked excellent -- very thin crust, just the way we like it -- and they also had spaghetti available. When we're back in the area again, we'll definitely stop in to try the pizza.

I have to admit being a native NC resident from Lexington, so I have a stubborn bias. I didn't try very hard ever to like Eastern NC BBQ and have discovered it is the fault solely of the white slaw! Sunday the 17th I stopped in Lumberton and bought a chopped sandwich with the slaw on the side, order number 110 at 12:21. The slaw on it's own merit was tasty. I don't have a weird bias against white slaw, but it belongs with seafood only! such as paired with a platter of fried shrimp and oysters, maybe flounder too! So I still had a nice hot sandwich of BBQ pork chopped with no slaw, (red slaw is acceptable and preferred as a matter of fact) riding down the highway on the way home. Let me tell you I was impressed, pleased, happy, and converted! I am now a believer in Eastern NC BBQ. Now, I still prefer Lexington, (or sometimes called Western NC style) but I can say as long as that white slaw is left off then I am good to go and up for a sandwich of Eastern style. It had the slightly vinegar taste I expected, some decent smoke flavor, and a nice bit of peppery taste. My only complaint is the price was pretty steep at almost $7 with tax for a BBQ sandwich. I guess they're still close to $6 in my area, so inflation is what we're living with. But now I'm converted. Thanks Smithfield.

I read four 5 star reviews from Mr. Cee's, one of them from a fellow Yelp Elite. Some answers please... As a POC, you know, I like to support my people. That said, I am also an extremely honest reviewer. I will give any place the benefit of the doubt. I'll return to a spot that has served food that may not be a representation of their best efforts. Like if the food were cold or they were shortstaffed and it had to be reheated and the texture changed but flavor and product are not to be compromised. The young lady at the counter was pleasant so was the couple who own restaurant. I don't know if it could be a locale discrepancy, but I have never in my life had a beer, battered pork chop, especially without forewarning besides that it lacked flavor except for salt and grease. I had baked beans and cabbage as my sides. The baked beans were fine. The cabbage was bland and soggy. You know we can do better. I ordered a sweet tea, got sugar water with a tint of brown. Again, maybe it's a locality preference. I want to go back in time and give them a second chance at what I understand they are popular for and try their barbecue just to give them a second chance. I told them I would be back...I won't unless I go with Gordon Ramsay and the Kitchen Nightmares crew. The inside of the place is closed for dining but you wouldn't be missing a thing.
