Knowing everyone would be tired and hungry after the graduation ceremony, I wanted to have the dinner follow immediately after the ceremony without having the formality and structure of restaurant dining nor the extra work of picking up food from a restaurant. I found Party in a Box on-line and was impressed by the breadth and sophication of the menu items with a price point that was very competitive with the other options I was evaluating. Chef Dawn responded to my initial inquiry the same day. She answered my basic questions and provided a quote by the following morning. She suggested further refinements to the menu to ensure we satisfied all my guests' varied tastes. Food was delivered and setup in my back yard before we arrived home from the ceremony. Warm dishes were kept on chafing plates and the other items were covered to stay cool. The presentation was beautiful (orchid flowers garnished some of the platters). And the food was devine! Everyone raved about it as they ate seconds and thirds. The best part was we had leftovers for the following day. Nothing went to waste! I thought do hold a luau style celebration of life to honor her endless Aloha Spirit and love of the Hawaiian culture. I did not know where to turn to begin to create a perfect evening to honor my wife, but I was blessed to discover Hawaiian Luau OC. From my first conversation with Steve, I instantly knew that I made the right choice. It was like talking to a friend from the first word, and I could tell he was fully invested in doing everything possible to make this evening memorable in every way. He even offered to prepare samples of his food and bring them to my home for my approval. Who does that anymore?!? On the day of my wife's celebration, Steve and his staff arrived right on time and set up a wonderful Hawaiian style buffet that was beautifully decorated.
