This is not a wine store, it's just a scam. I ordered online on their website a case of very particular Italian wine that I had been searching for and went in person about a week later to pick it up. There is no wine store -- it's just an abandoned Sprint building with no sign in the front. Nonetheless, the man there had my order ready to go; I had my doubts, but I took the case since I had already paid for it. When I opened a bottle at home, inside was watered down cranberry juice. I'm not sure, but it seems like they are printing fake labels so that they can sell juice as expensive wine. read more

What do D's do? That's right, they screw you. I placed an order with this vendor through Vivino on 12/15 as a holiday present to my mother. After sitting on my order for a week, turns out they were out of stock on items and decided, instead of contacting me, or Vivino, they would just sit on the order indefinitely. I had to call Vivino twice, email the vendor, and call the vendor 3 times before I got any information. Now it's 3 days before xmas, and I have few options left. (Also, if you do try to call Big D, good luck with that, because it's impossible to get a live human being on the phone, because apparently a wine store has a more Byzantine and impersonal bureaucracy than the State Department). So, in sum, be careful with these people! Strongly recommend you take your business elsewhere. And Big D, if you read this, thanks for attempting to ruin my holiday gift, but if I can convince just one potential customer to spend their money elsewhere, maybe this holiday can be saved after all! read more

I ordered several bottles of wine. It was supposed to be sent to me. 6 weeks later...still no wine. I called and talked to a woman who was RUDE and condescending. She told ME to be patient!! 2 weeks later still no word...no wine! Again, I called the company. This time I was lucky enough to FINALLY get someone who cared! Her name is Jessica. She was professional, well spoken, kind and had a GREAT personality. I give Jessica a straight 5 stars *****!! As for the other woman...it's a BIG 0 stars!! Mr. D was the only place in the US that we were able to find this particular wine after our previous importer cut ties with the winery. It took a little while to ship, but it was well worth the wait. I would definitely turn to them again for other hard to find wines. read more

Had a bottle of this wine brought by friends. A very smooth Malbec with good body. Well worth the price and with limited availability from other merchants. Only difficulty was that FedEx managed to manhandle the shipment and a bottle was broken despite very adequate packing - but that's why I use UPS. read more

I had the most awful online purchase experience with this outfit. Several weeks after my order, without hearing anything, I called the merchant and left messages to call back and waited. No Answer, Then I emailed, No Answer. Finally I had to call Visa. They canceled the payment and took up negotiation with the merchant. Suddenly, I was sent twice different FedEx tracking numbers. Both were bogus, since when I checked the tracking number, no shipment was actually sent to FedEx. After all that, out of the blue, I got six bottles delivered. However, they are half bottles, not the full 750ml bottle I ordered. After further difficult communications with the merchant, in the end, I got the return labels sent to me and had to repack the half bottles and send them back. It was nightmarish. I will not recommend this outfit to anyone. I then ordered twice from Total Wine & more. I got my orders filled smoothly and efficiently, no sweat. read more
