Ordered a hard to get vintage about 2 weeks ago. Was nervous after i ordered because i read the negative reviews. About a week ago the owner contacted to me to let me know he did not have what i ordered but had the same wine just 1 year newer. Received 4 or 5 days later. The wine was beautiful. I would order again from the business. The wine was shipped in an appropriate wine shipping packing. Would recommend this business for a hard to fine vintage. Not it is not like amazon you get the next day. Some things are worth the wait. read more

I ordered two cases of Rhone. The packing slip said 24 bottles and the shipment was 5 bottles short. 4 unanswered phone calls and 3 unanswered emails later we finally spoke. Website features wines that they do not actually have in stock. I'm guessing it is used to bait you in to an inevitable, "we do not have that wine you specifically searched for and purchased, but let me suggest a different wine you weren't looking for instead!" The best part is having to wait days after your order has been placed and money taken out of your bank account for you to be told the wine is not in stock. They are unwilling to work with their vendors to restock. Overall, very unprofessional experience and will not be using their services again. read more

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. I've had 2 separate orders take months before having to contact Paypal for a refund. They do not answer emails or phone calls. All I have to say is - read the fine print, it states the following: "wines under $20 are subject to vintage change without notice". So I ordered a case of my favorite wine, priced just under $20 per bottle (when the case discount was applied) and I am now the proud owner of 12 bottles of a wine that I didn't order nor do I like. If you don't have the wine in stock, then don't advertise It as being available it's as simple as that. There are plenty of reputable wine distributors out there - I will gladly pay more to get the wine that I actually enjoy. read more

I made a web order to Mr. D merchant around May 12 to purchase several bottles of wine. I charge the purchase on my credit card around $496. My credit card was process for the purchase but have not received the shipment of my wine order in two weeks. I finally got someone on the phone after repeated calls and was told they don't have the vintage of the wine and was asked if I would like a substitute. I said to credit back my credit card and was assigned a case number to start the process. To date they have not credit back my credit card, have not text or email me or respond to my numerous emails and phone calls. Very frustrated customer. read more

Fraudulent company! Buyer beware!!! I am flying out of town to visit close friends on Thanksgiving day and wanted to send some special bottles of rare Grower Champagne. I found the producer on Mr. D's, so I ordered 2 bottles on Nov. 14th and had it shipped to my friends home. When I ordered, I wish I had taken a screen shot because, I'm 99% sure that there wasn't a message saying that it would take up to 7 days to ship and I'm pretty sure it said that the estimated delivery date was before Thanksgiving. After seeing the order still sitting without shipping, I emailed them in the 6th day and they told me that it would ship either yesterday or today and that it could take up to 7 days to ship. After seeing that my order again hadn't shipped today, I really began to panic. I emailed them one more time and didn't hear back at all. I then looked online and put a bottle in my basket to see if it was maybe sold out or if I somehow missed something when ordering. When I did this, I immediately received a phone text from Mr. D's (addressing me by my friend's name- the one I shipped the order to) wanting to know if I wanted to buy that bottle in my cart. I texted back what I was doing and waiting for my shipping notification and the person just texted back with "no worries- let us know if you want to buy anything!" No worries!? -like I was inconveniencing this person who texted me for an additional sale? This person who had no regard to my predicament? So, do you think my bottles ever shipped- 7 business days later? Did I receive a follow up? Anything? Nope. In my account, there is still no notification of shipment. Not sure what to expect at this point. Was I scammed? What company takes over 7 business days to ship within the U.S.? This order is shipping from Florida to Louisiana. I could have ordered from California and had it arrive on time. Horrible communication: Horrible, scammy customer service. Do NOT recommend this business. At this point and after reading other reviews, I'm pretty sure that this company is fraudulent and doesn't actually ship orders- they just pocket your money. read more

This is a scam store. I would advise Yelp to flag this business. I made an order on this site over a month ago and promised 2-7 business days and is yet to be delivered. After repeatedly contacting them via phone (message bank only) and contact us forms on their website I am yet to receive either a refund or an update on my order. For those reading not based in Miami, when you look at their store location they list on their website on GoogleMaps street view there's actually no evidence of a Mr D Wine Merchant store, only a mix of other businesses further indicating this is a scam business. Don't know why reviews are so low. If you're competent you'll find the location easily, I saw no problem with that. Service was satisfactory, employees know what they are doing. They will help you find any and all bottles that you are looking for, at least that was the case for me. read more

Easy to deal with. No hiden costs. The only darwback is delivery by FedEx can happen whenever they feel like it, not exactly when the tracking says. In my last order FedEx delivered one day earlier, on a Sunday, and it was fortunate that I was at home to sign for it. Otherwise you get into complicated redelivery scheduling issues. read more

Do not use this company. Between CROVID and a knee surgery I have gotten all of my wine online for the last few years. No company has been even one tenth as incompetent and rude as this one. One of the wines I ordered they had in two vintages on their site so I ordered two bottles of each. Only to be told they did not have those but had a third (that was not listed on their site). Half the wines I ordered they said the did not have. Then why are they listed on their site? It tooks weeks to get a refund and even then they refunded me $293.06 when the refund should have been $306.59. One of the wines I ordered they sent a different cheaper wine. When I complained they said they would send the correct one. They never did and don't respond to my emails asking when they will. It's no wonder they are in Florida as they are a real Micky Mouse operation. read more
