This is the box with hair on it and some crumbs. Some of it fell off as I moved the box. Unfortunately my food was inside. I left it there.

The food was good. This is first time I've had questionable service At Doug's. And I question the cleanliness. First I asked if I could order off the kids menu because I just didn't want to waste food. She said it's a rule that I have to have kids to order the food. Then she seemed annoyed that I asked for extra napkins and dipping sauce for my fry's. Then she didn't top off our drinks, not once. And the. She handed me a box to put my leftovers away n and when I finished putting my food in it and closed it there was hair and crumbs all over the outside. That part of the box never touched the table so the crumbs came from the kitchen and I'm sure the hair did too. All she said was, ( "oh now I feel bad" ) Really? Should I have said nothing to make you feel better. It makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like and maybe the need to train the server's more.

We got suckered into visiting because there were Christmas lights out and for Sis who likes to do one Christmas thing every day during advent, it counted. I tried the patty melt and it was a solid winner. Our server was young, friendly, and very sweet. It's a diner, so it's diner grade food, but it's also a nice place to get a bite.

Amanda's omelette . Fluffy eggs. Fresh ingredients.

This place is pretty darn good. I live in the area and it has been a minute since we have been in. Three of us dropped in for breakfast Saturday morning. The server staff is friendly. The coffee is really good and the options are good. The breakfast was served hot which is nice. We were on a build on spot so it was a little cool for me. But hey, I'm old so those things I notice. We had the omelette and corn beef hash and hamburger. Portions are medium size and processed is ok. Good solid breakfast place.

Came here on a Sunday for lunch. Service was decent. As for the food, Think way better than Denny's or Sherries, but it's not going to knock your socks off. I ordered the taco omelette and overall, the meal was good. If you're someone who likes large portions, this will probably disappoint.

We are visiting the area in yelm and have been here for approximately six weeks. We decided to have Sunday breakfast at mr dougs this morning and what surprise. Although we had to wait awhile for our food because it was quite crowded, it was worth the wait. Food was great and the service was exceptional. Thhe waitress was very polite. The restaurant itself was fairly roomy and good atmosphere for a family restaurant. Very happy we checked this one out. We will definitely go back here for a meal.

It's always packed in here but service and food is good. We love coming here for breakfast!

Barely browned toast, my mom plate at the top was swimming in the bland gravy. Her plate looked like soup

The waitress was nice, she was the only good part of the meal. We usually get pretty good service and food here. But lately it has been hit and miss. And tonight was an all time low and I wouldn't be returning any time soon. They have a sign on the door that they are hiring cooks and I hope they find better ones soon. We all 3 got Chicken Fried Steak meals, clam chowder soup, and drinks. The soup was barely warm, we are and said nothing because it still tasted good. The chicken fried steak had a thin water gravy on top that ran all over the plate. The toast was barely brown and cold/hard. Eggs were ok the only good part. The worst part was the hash browns, they were brown on top and super under cook on the bottom. at that point. We did point it out to the waitress and she said that is how our gravy comes. I said nope we ate the same meal here 2 weeks ago and it didn't look like this. She asked if we want something else. We declined because the food soured my stomach and I didn't trust the cook to cook my food a 2nd time. We received a check for the drinks and soups. No plans to eat here again any time soon. Hopefully it was just an off night.

The portion around the end of the steaks looked like this.

I have been getting the Philly cheese with aju dip for a while and today was a miss for them. The sandwich was dry asf and looked to be left out a bit longer than it should, when i got there for pick up the ladies forgot my drinks and went back to grab them and returned with 1 (I ordered 2) she was reminded and went back to get it, I said should I check the food also to make sure its all there jokingly and she replied with no, I've checked its all there.....Nope missing ketchup, aju sauce and they really added alot ice to one of the cups. Paid over 50$ and i am disappointed.

Tried to give this place another chance....will not ever happen again!! Who charges for sauce to dip your chicken strips in? I have never been charged for a dipping sauce before. Maybe extra dipping sauce...but not the sauce that would normally come with the meal. And....it's 99 cents....so add another dollar to your meal if you don't want dry chicken strips. Fried Chicken dinner is $14.99 on the menu but when your bill comes....note that they try to charge $17.98. So then they give you a 30% gift credit if you even notice they over charge you. It was freezing cold and super uncomfortable in the place as well. Everyone had their jackets on. They should use some of that dipping sauce $ to turn on the heat. All this without even mentioning the horrible quality of both chicken dinners. Super disappointed.

$27 for 2 orders of a single waffle and 4 pieces of cheap bacon!

The very first time, the owner was our server and the service was actually pretty good. The food was mediocre, but we figured we'd come back and give it another shot. Unfortunately, that first experience has been the exception, not the rule. We are huge wing fans and so naturally we ordered the wings. They were freezer burnt and they were the full wing the flat and the drum hooked together. We were not a fan of them. We've stopped in just for a couple of beers while waiting for our dog to get groomed next door, and even those visits have been uncomfortable. We've dealt with bartenders who were rude and completely unfriendly, and servers who seem to forget you're even there. We came here for Valentine's Day two years ago with a reservation, expecting a nice, romantic dinner. Instead, it was an absolute disaster. The staff looked completely overwhelmed, nobody seemed to know what was going on, our expense steaks were over cooked badly, we were ignored for long stretches, never offered refills, and the entire dinner was a huge disappointment. But we kept trying. Most recently, we brought two friends here because we really wanted to give it one more chance. We actually warned them not to have high expectations. Unfortunately, the service was just as bad. We were ignored, never got beer refills, and the food was terrible. Our friends left saying they never wanted to come back. Today, while waiting for our dog to be groomed, we stopped in for a couple of beers and ordered the JoJos from the happy hour menu. Six or so potato wedges that were overcooked and just not very good, with mediocre barbecue sauce and ranch. There is a new server here whom we've never had before, and honestly, she's been better than anyone we've dealt with here in the past. She's still pretty slow, but she is easily the best service we've had since that very first visit when the owner served us. And ironically, that same owner has completely ignored us every time we've been back and hasn't said a word to us since our first visit. At this point, we've tried enough times to know this isn't a one-off bad night. The service is consistently awful, the food is mediocre at best, and the prices don't match what you're getting. We genuinely try to support local businesses, which is why we kept coming back and giving this place another chance. But after six or so visits and multiple disappointing experiences, we're done. I absolutely cannot recommend this place. If you're looking for overpriced, mediocre food and consistently terrible service, this is your place! Otherwise, there are plenty of other local places that deserve your money.

The only downside of this dish was that there were bell pepper seeds everywhere in the food so I got alot of crunchies. I also would have loved like a slice of toast or a biscuit to really push this dish over the edge. Benedict Bowl 6/10: Portion is a little small and the hollandaise sauce was alright. 34916 7/10: The biscuit and fruit jam was the best part! Everything else was overall good but not knock your shoes off. Deserts chocolate chip whoopie pies, snickerdoodle coffee cake bites and a chocolate cupcake 10/10: This is the bread and butter of it all. Their deserts are amazing! The service was good. I went to Kravins, The new name for the coffee house, that used to be called Shiplap it's located…read morein the center of Old Town Yelm, WA. I had great expectations but was sadly disappointed. First of all, you must realize there's tons of coffee places in Washington, especially in Yelm I can count about 9 places that sell coffee on the main Street. I'm not even counting the half dozen gas stations either . Most of them are little drive-thru structures. This one is a brick and mortar in town. And unfortunately people are lazy and like to drive through and get their beverages. So that's sort of a negative for Kravins. You need to make that place a coffee house. Someone is willing to get out of their car for. The former business was really adorable. They had some really cute unique vintage stuff in there shop. They had a business that did Do-It-Yourself terrariums in the back. It was very unique and it was sad that they didn't make it due to lack of support of this town. The rule of thumb is when you take over a business you need to make it better and more interesting . I went in the other day, because I heard they had soup there a while back. They no longer sell soup. So that's strike one. Their baked goods looked like they had bought them from the grocery store instead of either sourcing them from someone unique or baking them themselves. There are plenty of bakers that are independent in this town that you could source some really amazing baked goods from if you don't want to do it yourself. You need something like that to bring people in. I don't know why you don't have a soup and salad bar that would take your business to the next level. The cute shop and vintage items are gone and have been replaced with boring gift store items. Tim's pharmacy has the most unique items and they're right across the street. Why are you trying to reinvent the wheel with some humdrum stuff? I'm giving you free advice if you want to make that business go. You have to make it shine and be so unique. Even the drinks have to be different. I purchased a small smoothie that cost me almost $8 and it wasn't good. It was extremely sweet and it had a strange taste to it. Based on that visit I would never come back and I wouldn't recommend you to anybody. You have a really nice shop there. You need to really bring it up to the next level. You need to serve some sort of soup and salad. Something unique. Forget the sandwiches. Those are everywhere or if you make sandwiches they have to be different. People are looking for something new. Also you want to make it a place people want to come and hang out. It's not charming anymore with the gift shop hanging there. Hopefully you fix it. Turn it into a little restaurant.
