We're here for a pre wedding party. A tent was set up for our group with about 6-7 tables a getting to meet type event with friends and family. There was plenty of room and the putting green was steps away. Food was ok with chicken skewers, beef and other options. There was table service for alcohol which was nice. Service was very good. We ate here today for the first time since it reopened under new ownership. The food was very good. We had the garlic parmesan wings. They were perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. We also had a blt and a burger. Both came with fries. Everything was very tasty and exceeded my expectations. Room for improvement: we both enjoy mustard rather than ketchup on our burgers, sandwiches, and fries. They did not have mustard. They brought us honey mustard but said they did not have just mustard. I hope they get some. Otherwise everything was good. read more

Came here for a random early dinner. We showed up around 4:15pm or so and it was pretty quiet. There was us and 2-3 other parties there. The restaurant space was very clean and according to something I overheard, they got new dining chairs. Our waiter was Scott and he was very friendly and helpful. We had a table by the window and it was a nice few of the putting green. They have a decent size menu. I ordered a half turkey sandwich with a couple of soup that came with a salad (probably should have gotten something more adventurous, but I was not very hungry and it sounds good). My husband got the Taco Salad. Initially I thought the prices seemed a little high, but I guess that is typically for restaurants nowadays. I will says the portions were good size. My meal came with a side salad as well and my sandwich had a decent amount of turkey on it. The clam chowder was yummy. My husband's taco salad was huge and came in a large taco shell. He said he would get it again. The food came bout fairly quickly, but then again it wasn't super busy. I would come back, I would be interested in trying their brunch. read more

Nice outdoor area at golf course to eat and relax, we ordered the pastrami reuben, asian chicken salad, and chicken strips for the kids. Reuben was very good with delicious pastrami (not corned beef), but asian chicken salad was so so. The lettuce and veggies were fine, but nothing really seemed "asian" except they added some crunchy "wonton" noodles i guess? The crispy chicken on the salad had this strange rubbery texture, as if it was imitation chicken, which is odd because the chicken strips for my kids were pretty good and looked like actual chicken. Overall, it was a nice spot to eat and drink, but I'd stick to their sandwiches and burgers rather than the asian chicken salad. read more

I've been in here about five times. I live down the street and I appreciate the nice venue. The scenery, the service is pretty nice. Nice. But tonight I think it's going to be. My last time. My daughter and I came in to have a late lunch early dinner and we ordered the chicken fried chicken sandwich and a club sandwich with french fries each for $18. My daughter's chicken fried Chicken was so salty. You actually felt like you were going to go into vapor lock. She gave me a taste of it and it was absolutely inedible. She had a peel off all the coating and we did tell the waitress after the fact you know she wasted most the food. The fries were I think I counted 10 of them on my plate. Not very generous considering a sandwich is $18 and then you're charged over 11% for tax which is outrageous. You shouldn't be charging any tax on food. If I'm going to pay that much tax I'm not going to leave a tip. This is outrageous... My meal was a club sandwich which was good. Again I had 10 french fries on my plate. Had a diet Coke and the service is good. They kept checking on us but the food is underwhelming. And it was not busy when we were there so there's really no excuse. You need to change the coating to the chicken fried chicken and not put so much salt in it that people are going to have high blood pressure... I think this is the last time we'll be in. read more

We started with the calamari, very tender and delicious. I am a Lemon Drop smob...very tasty. Lunch was fish and chip..again very tender and delicious. This will be out "Go-To" restaurant. The new look of tne restaurant is refreshing, updated and so clean. I forgot to mention the clam chowder that came with the fish, again very delicious. Yuck, yuck, yuck! Why would they even bother operating a restaurant when it's so bad. I had a bad feeling about the place when the table was dirty and noone seemed concerned. As I tried to wipe off the mess it must have been there so long that it was embedded into the table! Service was trying yet obviously overwhelmed. I actually felt sorry for them. Came for breakfast and the coffee to start was weak and barely drinkable. The "Putt" breakfast wasn't much better. My eggs were runny and cold, the sausage greasy and quite disgusting. The red potatoes were so badly burned and hard that they could break teeth. Hardly had a bite of them. The only redeeming item was the biscuit, quite good, albeit cold and absolutely no butter to be found. One of my dining companions ordered a Bloody Mary and besides the unappealing color of the drink it had this absolutely ridiculous piece of bacon limply hanging off the side. So people said breakfast is better than dinner. Best I never return for either. Sad excuse for a dining spot. Perhaps stick to golf? read more

A couple of years ago we ate here and I had their fried chicken and it was frozen on the inside when I bit into it (FYI they did "make it right" for me that day). I had a suspicion then that their food wasn't of great quality. But we have been in many time since then and the food was okay. We have since moved away from Yelm but we were in town last night and hungry so we stopped in. There are few good restaurants in Yelm - in fact, the only great one is Gather Gastropub, which I wish we had gone to instead. But getting back to my review.... The special was a monte cristo sandwich so I ordered it. Oh my gosh was I disappointed! It was obviously made hours ago as prep and just reheated. The inside was ice cold!! Terrible kitchen practices!!! Monte Cristos are so easy to cook fresh.... preasswmble the sandwich but don't dip it and cook it ahead of time!! That's just stupid because it doesn't take but a few minutes to cook. It was soggy on the outside and cold on the inside. Major fail to the kitchen because had it been cooked properly, it would have been good. I could tell the flavor was there but I couldn't get past the icebox cold sandwich on the inside. I would have given one star for the food but I'm giving two stars for the review because the waitress was on point and she made really good drinks. Booooo to the kitchen though. read more

Decided to try Tahoma Bar and grill an were pleasantly surprised. Nice atmosphere. My husband had a burger dip and I had a French dip. Both were very good and flavorful, the fries were awesome! The only reason I give um 4 stars was cause of their 1000 island, I am a salad lover and love to dip my fries, I did not care for theirs at all, WAY to pickle tasting for my taste. Other than that we will def go back. (Fingers crossed they change the way they make their 1000 lol) * i have to edit my review, went there for dinner tonight and got the French dip again because it was delicious the first time, NOT this time, it was nothing but fat and grissle, Couldnt eat it. What a true pleasure it was to dine this afternoon at their establishment. From the time we walked through the door and dined and left we where treated with "OUTSTANING" customer service and fantastic food. My lovely wife had their Fish & Chips, the fish being Cod it was freshly battered and fried. I had breakfast with it being their Chicken Fried Steak, with eggs over medium, tater tots and a fresh homemade biscuit. The CFS was freshly pounded battered and fried. The country gravy on the CFS was over the top in both texture and taste. I have been to other restaurants in the Yelm area and one was like trying to eat an over sized hockey puck and the other place the waitress told me their CFS's came frozen from SYSCO Foods. So if you are looking for a GREAT CFS for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner you have got to go to TVBG. Lastly our waitress here at TVBG "Beth" was very attentive to our whole dinning experience. Horrible experience. Went to brunch for my birthday had a purple cold steak that was ordered medium. Then my son had 3 long pieces of hair in his omelette. Then the staff proceeded to accuse the hair being mine, the hair was deep inside the omelette there was no way it was mine. The food took forever to be remade then wasn't even comped. Only thing comped on the bill was the drinks........really awful experience poor service and poor food. Definitely won't be back. read more
