We were on our way to go camping and a tire blew out on our pop-up camper. It was completely shredded! We stopped on the side of the freeway to put on the spare. We get it on...it's flat! Luckily, there was a rest stop about 300 yards away. We stopped hoping to find someone who had an airline. Thankfully, a trucker helped out. We started the car...the check engine light came on for electrical system failure. We finally made it to Barstow to get a new alternator and get a new tire. Thankfully, the guys at Mr. D's we're there to help! They got us 2 new tires and installed the alternator. A few hours later, we were back on the road. If it weren't for them, we wouldn't have been able to get to the campground and be with our family. Thanks for everything, guys!! read more

I went to Autozone to get the parts and they were next door and help saved the day by replacing my alternator. The proce is not cheap at 185 for the labor but they got us on the road and home safely. Driving from SoCal home to Vegas with my daughter and 5 year old granddaughter when my low tire pressure light came on. Stopped at a gas station to get air in the tire and was directed a 1/2 mile down the road to Mr. D's. They took us right in, found a chunk of a key that was stuck in the tire and explained that if the inner tube was punctured I would need a new tire but if not, a repair would do. We waited in the comfortable waiting room for about 10 minutes and it turned out to only need a repair. Everyone was so nice and helpful, we were back on the road within an hour. Back story: on May Friday 13, 2022 my front passenger tire popped on the 15 freeway. A1 towing came and took us to Auto Zone, for new wheel studs that they agreed to replace. We noticed the shop across the parking lot and inquired on our van being serviced. They had availability and took us in. Got us in and out in a timely manner. On Monday May 16, 2022, we had to suddenly slam on our brakes on St Rose Parkway when an 18 wheeler pulled on the off-ramp we were exiting on. We had to slam on the brakes hard and that's when we noticed a problem. The van then proceeded to shake violently and not going above 40 mph. Upon removing the tire we see there is a top bolt missing in the caliber from reinstalling the wheel studs. There was a metal to metal grinding with each brake depression. There is no valid phone number. Google says they are not open until Wednesday. Our lives were put in danger by this poor craftsmanship and this is now going to be a lawsuit. read more

Terrible place do not take your car here !! I repeat do not went in for a simple tail light fixing to make break lights work came back more issues with that. Also went for a blinker switch to be fixed need up not being able to turn my steering wheel at all only able to go straight. Just in general went in for two things ended up with 7 new problems. Not to mention making us pay put of pocket for 3 parts that were new that they lost or broke and this is a older truck so parts are harder to come buy and more expensive. read more

Bought a set of Kelly tires here. They wore off in less than 15,000 miles. Came back and was basically told to bad, no warranty and I need to buy new tires. Well this was unacceptable so I called Goodyear tires who were extremely helpful and replaced the cost of my tires.... which I went to Midas to purchase. If Mr. D's had just called Goodyear themselves they would have had another sale plus more in the future. They also failed to even put my mileage and type of vehicle. In February 2022, we were coming home from an RV trip when we ran over something that damaged all 4 of our trailer tires outside of Ludlow, Ca, near Brawley. It was Super Bowl Sunday. Mr. D's responded quickly and we bought 4 new tires from them: size ST225/75R15 Trailer King RST II. We drove from Brawley to Fresno and parked the trailer, 1 day of driving on the new tires. In March we moved the trailer to San Joaquin, about 30 miles and parked it again. We went on another RV trip last week (Sept 2022) to Colorado and Texas. 10 days. The trailer was parked in an RV park for 6 of those days. So we only drove on the tires about 4 to 4 1/2 days. On our way home, one trailer tire registered flat on the monitor we have. My husband changed the tire and monitored the others as we continued to drive home. As we neared our home, another tire showed it was leaking and getting low. We monitored it until we made it home. When my husband went to our local tire shop the next day with the tires, the technician said that 3 out of the 4 new tires we just bought in February were shot. They disintegrated from the inside out. We only drove on the those new tires for about 5 1/2 days total since we bought them, and they proved to be worthless and dangerous. My husband called Mr. D's tire to see if they would warranty the tires or something. They said they would give us a discount if we bought more tires from them. We're not going to drive over 800 miles round trip to buy tires. We paid $592.40 for 4 brand new tires and drove on them for 5 1/2 days before they disintegrated.
