This is a small spot for a car wash (i believe there's 1-2 people working on the washing and 1-2 people working on the drying so really just 1 car can be worked on at a time per group) so I'm not sure exactly how great it would be to come here on a busy weekend. However, my partner and I took his car (a BMW M2 Competition) to get a wash here on a Friday at 9 am and had a great experience. We keep the interior pretty clean so we only came for the exterior wash, which is pretty reasonable at $25 (we gave a $5 tip so total was $30). Everything is done by hand so if you're looking for that extra attention on your car, this is definitely the place to come to. The car ended up looking absolutely spotless and the people were really nice. We will be back! read more

I have only moved to the bay for 2 months and I was searching for a hand car wash place. I had my first interior detail and car wash for $140 and was delighted about the service and the result. So... the one million dollar question, why am I giving it a 2 stars? I haven't had a car wash for about 1 month and living on the hills and parking under trees, I had so much bird poops and tree saps on my car. Of course I went to this place where I had a great experience the first time when I had a chance this week. After letting the guy know that I needed a car wash he demanded that I need to pay cash (I know they take credit cards since I already went there once but I still went to get $60 cash for him since you know, they did do a really good job the first time). I then sat in their office for about 20-30 mins before my car was done and paid in cash. One of the other customers who was waiting for his car asked the dude if they only took cash and the exact words he said was "yeah... you can pay with card". I was a little puzzled because I thought since I was only getting a car wash and not a detail he wanted me to pay in cash so I asked him if I can pay with card next time too? And he told me yes. So... why couldn't I pay with cash this time? I didn't ask too many questions and asked for a receipt and he just wrote me some random form I was suppose to fill out BEFORE I get the car wash (information regarding my name, the car model and etc.) He did a pretty decent job on the car wash considering how dirty the exterior was. He missed the cup holder inside the car but I was still very grateful he threw away my stash of empty water bottles I never had a chance to get rid of. But... after driving off... I realized he also had emptied my coin holder in the car. It wasn't a bank of coins but I mean... WHO DOES THAT!?!?!? Then it all hit me at once... This dude was probably just going to take the $60 cash for himself, and also a little coin treat on top of that. I even tipped him!!! That was just super shady in my opinion. I don't know how I feel about this place now. I'll never use this place again. Feel very ripped off. Hadn't washed my car for awhile because of the water crisis, read pretty good reviews here, some detailing how the company uses minimal water... think to myself Win Win right? Lose Lose. The guys are friendly... sure, it goes downhill from there. The car was admittedly pretty dirty, not off-road caked in mud dirty, it's a street vehicle. The car was littered with various bird droppings, these being the number 1 (or #2... depends how you look at it (couldn't resist)) issue, other than that, just run of the mill dirty. Settled on the express wax ~$60+ tax. When I came back to pick up my car, I was pretty pissed to find some bird poo still on my car, which the guy did wipe off when I brought it up... but still... really? Inside was a little better, but I usually do better myself. Looked like the cloth they used couldn't hold any more dust, 'cos there was a thin layer all over the top of the dash. Carpets and seats looked good though. Because I park my car under trees (hence the bird crap) there was, and unfortunately still is an abundant accumulation of leaves and small twigs around the base of my front windscreen. I like this place. Sure, it's probably pricier than your machine-operated car washes. But I appreciated the time and attention to detail. These two guys were great and take a lot of pride in Power washing, and then hand washing and vacuuming every nook and cranny. I wish you could've seen A before picture after seven days of Lake Tahoe snow storms. My car looks like new by the time they were finished. And it probably only took about 30 minutes. My only wish is that they have new fragrance spray to complete the package. Friendly guy. Real professional. I would've given them a five star if they offered coffee while I waited. Previously located on Cesar Chavez St, this new location is located in a more industrial area and offers the same services for the same price. What I like about this place is that it is less busy compared to the Mission. Their office now has a small waiting area for you while your car is getting washed/detailed. If you are don't like the idea of paying for a car wash, down the block, there is a self-car wash with vacuuming which will probably only cost you a couple cents. But if you are lazy like me, hey, why not?! Down the block, across the street, there is a cafe called "Happy Donuts" and while you wait for your car, you can grab a quick snack! Next to them is a Grocery Outlet. I only come here for their "Premium Wash" ($29) and they always do a good job. The employees are friendly as well. The premium wash includes washing the exterior and cleaning the inside as well with a full vacuum, interior windows, cleaning door jams, under seat cleaning, wipe of the dash and console, and interior doors and panels. If you check in on Yelp, you get a free spray wax as well, but I think the guy said they throw it in anyways, which is awesome! I recommend coming here for car washes for when you feel lazy! read more

Even though the person who washed my car doesnt speak english that well, I was able to tell him which parts I want him to clean - the useless gap between the console box and drivers seat where food and other things has dropped inside. I told him which parts not to touch (the cupholders with receipts, the side door storage and the trunk) and they didnt touch it. I was afraid at first since it seems like he only understands the words yes and no. So I pointed those areas and said no. Good thing they left untouched when I got my car back! Phew! They cleaned that useless gap as well It took around 45 mins for them to finish washing my car. I did the premium which is both exterior and interior and costs $35. They cleaned the floor mats very well. Make sure you check its there when you get it back. They forgot to put mine back lol They take credit cards and I always tip the guys separately than the company. There are 3 guys who washed my car. Make sure you bring cash for this :) Some complaints I have is little birdpoops (? They're yellowish and looks like waterdrops) marks were still on my car. When I got home, I scratched them off and it was so easy to come off. So I'm not sure why they didn't take it off. My carpet isnt 100% clean. There are still some small debris/particles on the carpet on the drivers seat as well as under the seat (u can tell when you're about to get into the car, theres an annoyingly small slit that shows it). Thus the docks off one star. Ah yes, I came on a Friday afternoon around 3pm. For those who have nad reviews, maybe they came on a weekend when they're busy? Who knows. I'm seriously thinking this is a case of fake yelp reviews. I made an appointment online for an interior detail at 9am, because I knew I had to be somewhere by 11:45. The Yelp reviews say it took about two hours to shampoo the seats. I drive through rush hour traffic to get there at exactly 9am, and it's completely deserted. No one answers my phone calls. Finally someone arrives by 9:20am and says it's going to be $350 for a full detail because I went to Burning Man. I remind him that I do not want or need a full detail, I just want the interior shampooed and wiped down, and just a quick wash of the exterior as it said in the description online. He then tells me he'll do JUST the interior for $140. At that point I didn't want to give him any of my business because it seemed like a textbook bait-and-switch. I already cleaned the exterior of my car, and other than the wheels, it really doesn't look that bad. You might not even know I went to Burning Man unless I specifically said it, which I realized was a mistake. I'm about to say yes to the $140 interior when he says it's going to take 3-4 hours. If you read other yelp reviews it says it took 2 hours for a shampoo. He said that's because those are rental cars, and they just need a quick vacuum. So who's lying here? I'm super not down to give my business to shady businesses who are dishonest and unhelpful. Thanks for wasting my entire morning. read more

I was excited to try Mr. Ecowash after reading the positive reviews. However, they were super sketchy with their prices. I made an appointment for an exterior wash/interior cleaning/spray wax, and I was really disappointed they jacked up the price when I arrived, claiming my car was "too dirty." My car was definitely not too dirty, and they doubled the price without the spray wax! I thought ok, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and maybe they are super good. While my car was getting washed, I saw them do the same thing to other customers jacking up their prices and some customers left right away (which is what I should have done, but I really wanted to like them). The power pressure spray does get the outside fairly clean, but totally not worth the extortionary prices. Interior vacuum wasn't even that clean and left some sand and unwiped surfaces. It's a shame they are only interested in ripping people off and not building a sustainable return customer base. read more

These guys are amazing! Completely hand washed, and they ensure that your car comes out looking flawless. Just sitting there every car looks like is coming straight off the lot. There is a delicious taco stand next door while you wait, or if not Mr. Eco also has a room with free wi-fi so you can chill or get work done. Plenty of pricing options, I've gone with the basic wash and spray wax, but since they did such a great job I want to take it up a notch and see how clean my car really can get. They let you drop off your car and leave it there so I end up walking around the Mission. You can think of it as free parking! Also, check in for a free spray wax! The only reason I knocked off one star is that they never call you after your car is done even if you ask them too. A good friend of mine referred me to this location over a year ago. I said I would visit the location but just kept putting it off for a while now. I finally decided to do it though was a bit hesitant due to the price. I took my car into Mr. Ecowash two weekends ago (got the full clean and detailed package) and I came out a SUPER SUPER happy customer. A little background, I hadn't washed my car is a while, a long while! Say over a year or so. I work a lot and with my niece's, dogs, etc the inside was becoming pretty gross. In addition to its dirtiness my car is going on 14 years of age and has begun to get small rust dots on the body. I did notice these after I purchased the car but did not think too much of it as they were not too visible until you touched the car you could feel the little dots. Due to this I planned to get some body work done after this wash. I am a native San Franciscan and live in the Mission. By this I mean parking, the battles with parking just has me trying to squeeze my car into small and extremely tight places which only result in getting my bumper hit and color chipped of f. My car is in good condition just the body and inside needed some TLC. When I picked up my car (it was late afternoon, this takes a whole day so make sure you plan your day accordingly) I immediately noticed the stuck on mud stains gone from the bottom of my car near the tires, I touched my car and it was smooth as a baby's booty (the rust stains were gone) and the inside OMG it was as if I got into a new car. The carpet stains were gone, the seats were cleaned, every single area was clean. I wish I would have taken picture before the work was done but unfortunately did not. Overall, I am a super satisfied customer. I think everyone should visit Mr. EcoWash and have the full package done at least once or twice a year. They do regular cleanings which do not take as long too. Now, after seeing the results I actually believe the price is too low for the work they do. I just purchased their most expensive on-menu product : an interior/exterior detail for $200 and I am underwhelmed. Positive Side : nothing was damaged, they washed the car well and waxed it. Carpet / mat shampooing was well done. They were friendly and got me in without an appt. Negative Side : I've had cars detailed at similar price points before and can say it simply was not clean enough to be called "detailed". This was a $50 car wash at best. Not only that, but I left my car for 8 hours and it still wasn't done when I got there. I pointed out a number of things to be corrected, and they happily did. Things like pieces of tree still stuck in the cowl, and spots and stains and crumbs that were still there. This was for a car that is under two years old and in good shape. I'm also dubious that they actually clay-bared the paint as advertised -- It still feels rough to the touch. Lastly, the leather was not very clean and was not treated -- something I confirmed when I dropped it off. Bottom Line: The detail service is a rip -- stick with the wash/wax. read more

No respect for customers here. It's one thing if your hours aren't properly listed on Yelp. It's another if you accept a reservation time but then aren't open when the customer shows up for it. Following the instructions on the website, on a Saturday I made a reservation for the following afternoon. They cleaned every little nook and cranny (seriously, EVERY nook and cranny) but good god it took an hour and a half, and I was only third in line when I arrived. But my car hasn't looked this nice since I bought it, so if you have 60-90 minutes on a Saturday to stroll down Valencia, or if you opt for the drop and pickup option, or they will ACTUALLY COME TO YOUR HOUSE four about $10 more (!!!) it's TOTALLY worth the wait. This place is my new default detailing destination. I purchased the Groupon, scheduled an appointment by phone, and dropped my car off. They told me 2hrs and had my car ready exactly 2hrs later. My car was previously filthy and there were crumbs in every place imaginable due to having a 2yr old toddler. I literally hadnt cleaned the backseat since I purchased the car new 1.5yrs prior. After reading other reviews, and delighted that I could walk around the Mission while I waited, I made an online appointment. That process was simple, although the service offerings are a bit unclear. Whatever, I figured I'd ask when I arrived. Got there on time and parked in the entrance and left the keys in the ignition. I mentioned I had an appointment and a very nice gentleman named Jesus told me it would be about 2.5 hours because they were busy. So, minus one star because I assume that when I make an appointment, they will be able to begin reasonably soon. Plus half a star because his prediction was spot on. My truck is no prizewinner. It's 36 years old and it has plenty of dings and scratches and a bit of rust on the floor pan. There are some cobwebs in odd places and a building up dust in various crannies, but it wasn't full of mud or filth or trash. I care more about sitting in a clean vehicle than seeing my face reflected off the hood. So I opted for mostly interior detailing with basic exterior. I took a walk, bought some books at Borderlands, hung around, came back and read for awhile on a comfy couch. Jesus came to get me and showed me my truck. It looked alright. The obvious surfaces and controls were all clean. But many details were missed. The shifter boot was still dirty. The vents were still dusty. The tops of the visors were dirty. I really didn't feel like hanging around another half hour for them to get the rest of it. For $104 I felt like they could have done a better job. Rounding down half a star because it took another ten minutes to find my keys, and because the bathroom was out of toilet paper and paper towel. read more

Writing a review for services performed at the 560 Mission Street location. So basically these guys will come to your car if you make an appointment in advance on their website. I sent an e-mail out about a week prior to the service date, but never got an e-mail back to confirm. I called two days before the service date and talked to a guy with really poor English. My expectations were pretty low after that conversation, but the guy promised to show up at 2pm to wash the car. On the day of the service, I pull into the garage and pay the $22 to park in the garage. 2pm comes and goes. I don't hear from the guy I previously spoke to and I'm expecting the worse. I go down to the car and see that it's been thoroughly washed! I went back to their website and paid for the car wash. My only complaint was that they didn't wax the car as I had requested on the online appointment request. Other than that, they did a fabulous job and I think it's a great service to have someone come to your car and wash it, while you're at work. read more

I went to get my car washed on Saturday. I was very skeptical from the looks of the place, but my car needed washed, and Yelp reviews were decent. I pulled up and there were three cars ahead of me. The guy told me that he would be able to have in completed in 45 min, which was ok because I had a few other things in the area to accomplish. He asked me to leave my car where is was and leave the key. I was a little worried because my care was blocking the sidewalk and was still in the street a little. I left my car, and went to do my other errands in the mission. When I came back my car was being washed by three people, I went into the trailer and took a seat while they finished. The inside of the trailer (office) was not as bad as I have read on Yelp, it was very clean a little warm since it was 80 something degrees outside and no air-conditioning. Though I am use to no air-conditioning living in SF. The guy came and told me that my car was ready. I was amazed at how well they cleaned both the inside and the outside, it was cleaner than the day that I bought the car. They did miss one thing, and when I pointed it out there was no attitude the gentleman simply picked up a towel and corrected it with an apology. Moral of this story is that looks can be deceiving, and this place is defiantly worth the $29.00 I spent to have my car washed. read more

This is by far the best car wash I've ever had. I have two young children and my car was extremely dirty both in the interior and exterior. I spent $150 for the full service of shampooing my seats and detail on both the interior and exterior. My $150 was well spent! If you do this service, they need at least two hours to clean your car. When I got my car back, the inside of the car was like it was brand new. All of the stains from the seats were removed. The exterior of the car was also very well done.
