A hidden gem in Cancun hoteliera district. Pay attention to not walk by! Tucked in between street vendors! Very nice waitress and food was great and comforting! Loved strawberry smoothie! Nothing extra, just berries!!! Check it out!

it was right behind our hotel or in front of Riu palace hotel. We had breakfast here 2-3 times when we stayed in suites, Costa Blanca. Owner/staff are friendly and will help you with their menu. They do speak English, unlike some big restaurants' staffs. we tried Cheese Omelets, tomato-onion cheese omelet, fajitas, Fruit salad, Mexican chicken curry in our visits. foods were delicious and within the price. prices are very less compare to other hotels. Mexican chicken curry was special of the day and it's their specialty. it is not a typical restaurant with tables and all. They just have 3-4 plastic tables out on footpath in the shade and they serve there. would recommend this if you don't want to spend your pesos in the expensive restaurant.

I was looking for good chilaquiles in the hotel zone and found it. The restaurant is easy to miss as it is very small and has a shop attached to one side. The waitress was nice and spoke English. The food was great and came out quick. The prices were very good

Pancakes are nice and fluffy. Got the carrot juice. The juice is freshly squeezed and delicious- especially on a hot day. Cute outside seating, some of the birds might greet you. Will get the sandwich tomorrow- they looked amazing.

This is a rock solid place to get breakfast in Cancun. Skip the touristy, hotel buffets and come here. We've never spent more than $11-$12 and leave STUFFED every time. We also noticed on the second day our portions were much bigger after leaving a nice tip the day before and they remembered us which was great. They have excellent omelettes, we opted to have it with beans, rice and tortillas instead of toast and I would recommend that to anyone else going as well as the fresh tortillas and the hot sauces you can mix with your breakfast are delicious! The coffee is also surprisingly good for drip which was another added bonus. They serve lunch and dinner as well, we haven't tried it out yet but hope to before we leave.

Found this place as we were looking for breakfast. It is kinda hidden back off the road. No menus it seemed as the staff just asked what we wanted to eat. We order pancakes which were super light and tasty, a fruit plate with yogurt and an egg omelet with chorizo and red sauce. The staff were all very pleasant and the food was tasty. We paid $30usd for 4 of us which included tip. We'll go back here for sure.

Chilaquiles! Sauce was cold and beans too!

Mmmmm. Don't really know what is going on here. I saw great reviews but let me tell you. I dislike putting down businesses this way. First of all they are not at the location Yelp says they are. The place is hidden behind everything else. Not so clean there was ants everywhere, the food was cold. The waiters where trying their best but nor efficient! Its not what I thought it would be! Sorry! Do not go there!

I took some notes and this is what I thought of the dishes. Xoajacan Imoladas - The mole is perfection. The flautas, superb. Everything in this plate is a symphony of what I would expect from Xoajaca. 9.5/10 Barbacoa Bonemarrow - Barcacoa is on point. The Marrow is Sublime. Together with the accompaniments is superb. I dream of Marrow everyday. This is a 10/10 Yellow fin Tosatadas - Superb!!! One of the best tostadas I have ever had. The microgreens, the sauce and the square Tostada works well all together. 8.8/10 Salmon - Cooked perfectly. The corn is a great accompaniment. The fish is impeccably seasoned. This dish is heaven sent with a 9.8/10 Grilled Octopus - Grilled perfectly, I can tell by the texture. The mash is superb, they used margarine instead of butter and I absolutely love the contrast from the traditional mash. 9.8/10 Mexican Rice - Its pretty good. It does have a nice seafoodish finish. The pepper was actually spicy. Nice and pleasant rice dish. 8/10 Charred Avocado Salad - Grilled avocado is a bit of a wash. It did make it look good on the plate. The dressing is a little weak. Needs a little more zip, some citrus or vinegar would give this salad some justice. Its a little uninspired 7/10 Service is impeccable and attentive and the atmosphere is lovely.

Anyway: the food, presentation of the dishes itself, and the overall vibe: 4/5. My favorite dish was definitely the steak. The bone marrow is better off being plain without all the stuff they put on top. The steak itself was perfectly cooked & seasoned. I should've took more pictures of the food but whatever- the mango tuna thing with avocado was delicious. Very mango forward. Great alongside some salsa as well. The octopus: OK enough, slightly overcooked. Chewy. Chicharron guac was yum. Our server was so sweet in the beginning but had an attitude after getting tipped 25% LOL other than that, great experience :)

It's huge, as far as presentation it's not very fancy, it was tasty but as large as it was you'd think it had more alcohol to offset the size. But it did not. My wife ordered the aguachile with octopus. I ordered the Tuna Burger, and we got the steak quesadillas as an appetizer. My wife said she would give her aguachile a 3.8 out of 5. I thought the tuna burger was very tasty. Basically they took a tuna steak and put it between a hamburger bun. I can't really compare it to a regular meat burger. But on a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 7. It came only with lettuce and tomato, but it had flavor enough. The quesadilla's were good, but nothing special, I'd say they were comparable to any you get at an average Mexican restaurant in the states. We came here because of the high ratings. Many of the dishes have strange ingredients that the regular gringo hasn't heard of, which makes this even more exotic! I consider myself a mexican food expert, to some degree, and they're serving dishes that are so inventive, so wild, so fresh, so delicious! The dining area is split between a covered outside area, and seating on the grass overlooking the lagoon. Be careful, there's alligators in there! The service was fantastic- the waiter was patient, spoke English, and made excellent recommendations. I got fish with peppers, octopus ceviche, and some mezcal, followed by a honey and anise Mayan drink. All of which were delicious! My dining companion had a strange pepper with some fish- also nom! Coming here was like a history cuisine lesson, mixed with delicious food, wonderful scenery and a pleasant meal! My favorite part of this place is the artwork when you come in.
