If you blink you will pass up this Cancún gem. This is a small intimate restaurant 6 tables open air and is definitely worth the stop. The service was very fast, attentive and friendly. The food was amazing and the juice was freshly squeezed. The chilaquiles were very delicious and paired well with the eggs over easy and beef steak. I added the home made salsa for a bit of spice. This dish was definitely 5 Stars! My daughter got the torta and she said it had just the right balance of beans, queso, crema. If you are looking for fresh and authentic food then this is the spot. Everything was delicious, so delicious we came back to eat here 2 days in a row! We had the chilaquiles divorciados (red/green) with eggs and chicken. The chicken was cooked to perfection, flavorful and juicy. The spicy habanero salsa on the table should be used with caution just to add a little something to the food but is not necessary. The ladies who served us were very kind and speak English perfectly. it was right behind our hotel or in front of Riu palace hotel. We had breakfast here 2-3 times when we stayed in suites, Costa Blanca. Owner/staff are friendly and will help you with their menu. They do speak English, unlike some big restaurants' staffs. we tried Cheese Omelets, tomato-onion cheese omelet, fajitas, Fruit salad, Mexican chicken curry in our visits. foods were delicious and within the price. prices are very less compare to other hotels. Mexican chicken curry was special of the day and it's their specialty. it is not a typical restaurant with tables and all. They just have 3-4 plastic tables out on footpath in the shade and they serve there. would recommend this if you don't want to spend your pesos in the expensive restaurant. read more

This is a rock solid place to get breakfast in Cancun. Skip the touristy, hotel buffets and come here. We've never spent more than $11-$12 and leave STUFFED every time. We also noticed on the second day our portions were much bigger after leaving a nice tip the day before and they remembered us which was great. They have excellent omelettes, we opted to have it with beans, rice and tortillas instead of toast and I would recommend that to anyone else going as well as the fresh tortillas and the hot sauces you can mix with your breakfast are delicious! The coffee is also surprisingly good for drip which was another added bonus. They serve lunch and dinner as well, we haven't tried it out yet but hope to before we leave. read more

Had the Chilaquilles with beef which includes beans and tortilla chips in a tomato based sauce topped with avocado. I'm unsure of the correct way to eat these so I ate some nachos style and the rest with fork and knife. Found this place as we were looking for breakfast. It is kinda hidden back off the road. No menus it seemed as the staff just asked what we wanted to eat. We order pancakes which were super light and tasty, a fruit plate with yogurt and an egg omelet with chorizo and red sauce. The staff were all very pleasant and the food was tasty. We paid $30usd for 4 of us which included tip. We'll go back here for sure. read more

Ordered a mushroom and cheese omelette with a side of rice and beans, and freshly squeezed orange juice. There was also a really great spicy red sauce and warm tortillas to go along with the meal. The service was fast and the people working there were kind. Two of them spoke English, and even though the third didn't, we made it work :) The seating is completely outside but you can find shade. It seems that many of their customers are locals... it is a bit hidden off the main road, so I assume not too many tourists know about it, or really venture out of their hotels or away from the main road. I really like that though. It felt more genuine and wasn't crowded at all. Found this gem just across the hotel. Amazing service as they moved tables for us to stay out of the sun. Food was amazing, had two chicken tacos and a hot cakes.
