Traveling thru on I8? If you're looking for good Mexican food in a super clean fast food setting, this is it! I got off I8 looking for another Yelp recommended place. I saw the line here in the drive thru at 3:30 in the afternoon. I went in (no line), had enchiladas and tacos that were fantastic. I looked up reviews and saw they were low, which I don't understand (and I wouldn't have stopped here normally). I did see the recommendation for burritos. I took 3 bean, a red, and a green burrito to Phoenix. (Reasonably priced and actually arguably 'low'). Finished my last burrito today (9 days later). Awesome! read more

I can't believe Mr G's only has 3.5 stars? This place is very clean, the staff is really friendly, and the food is great. Their burritos aren't as big as some places but, come on now, who eats one of those giant burritos and isn't stuffed? I'm a senior so I can't eat like that any longer without regretting that I ate the whole thing. MrG's burritos are good sized and delicious. Prices are not bad either... And, they have margaritas & yummy Mexican style deserts. We eat here almost whenever we're in town. Wife says "the rolled tacos are delish" too The wife got some pineapple empanadas. Very busy place! Also very delicious! Pleasantly surprised at how polite the workers were considering how packed they were. They were able to help me decide on what to order. I got the combination platter with enchilada and taco, and my husband ordered rolled tacos and a carne asada taco. Food was amazing, a little expensive but it was worth it. Shocked however to say we attempted to order tequila shots (just one each) and they are $20+ for one small shot ! That's crazy. If you're planning a trip to California for coming back to Arizona, plan your journey around stopping at the spot. The rolled tacos. Enchiladas bean burrito are all great. Their beans do not come out of a canned and actually contain fat the way beans should be made. My wife is from Mexico and I've been eating beans from her family for 20+ years. It's definitely in the top five. Service here is quick. And if you don't feel like getting out of your car you're in luck because they have a drive-thru. It's a quick jump off the freeway grab some good food hop back on and continue your journey back. And you won't be stopping for an emergency bathroom break because it's actually good Mexican. read more

Here it is We came in 7:20 and we are the first one who order the foods a little later another 4 parties ordered some as well. Our food came out 7:50 and we are the last one got served. My Chicken dinner comes with rice and beans and it was so dry,burnt and tasteless. I never had cardboard but surely after having this meal, I know what cardboard taste like. The salsa was tasteless and very watery. My husband burrito was very dry as well and no flavor what so ever. While having dinner, a woman with a clip bird was walking around closing the door before 8 pm and just declined service to people trying to order food cuz she said they are close. This is before 8 pm. I hope the owner pays attention to his employees cuz it's a waste to have this nice restaurant with the food and service was really horrible. read more

I have been eating here since my high school years in the early 80's. It was family owned and it had a great taste. I always loved the red mixed burrito's and the machaca burrito. I was diagnosed with leukemia in late 2021. I couldn't eat much after going through chemo for a few years. I still have family living in Yuma and was craving some burritos. I had my sister and brother in law bring me several red mix burritos, since I finally could eat. I bit into the burrito and I was met with big chunks of meat. It was not like the original red mix burritos. I was so disappointed. Every time I came to visit my family, I would stop and eat there and also bring some home when I left. It is not the same. They need to return to the original recipes for all their burritos. read more

If you are ever in Yuma or driving through. This is a must stop place. Since they are adding on to their location, they thought well enough ahead to have a food truck/trailer to go to, to get our fix. This was great as they didn't leave us high and dry. Be still my heart. This is my first stop when coming into town and my Last stop before leaving town. Is it nostalgia from eating here growing up or are they just that delicious? I will never know. All I know is that I dream about their bean & cheese burritos often and drool thinking about their rolled tacos when I'm not in town. I must've eaten here for the first time about 3 years ago, and finally made it inside the restaurant to sit down and enjoy the meal! The food is very affordable, which means you can try a lot of different things! I got to try a Chile con carne (Roja) burrito, Chile con carne (verde) burrito, rolled tacos, bean rice and cheese burrito, bean and cheese burrito, tacos, machaca and egg burrito, and horchata! My favorites by far are the Chile con carne burritos, but you really can't go wrong with any of them! The food comes out super quick and is always very fresh! They give you plenty of their salsa made in house to enjoy with the food as well! The customer service experience was phenomenal, the restaurant was aesthetically pleasing, and overall we had an amazing experience! I'mma need u to make my burrito. But the straw that broke the camels back was they did not have any seafood, no fish, ceviche NOTHING! Ordered what the cashier told us was the two most popular, rolled taco (shredded beef rolled & fried in corn tortilla) and bean/cheese burrito (generic refried beans with a little shredded mozzarella). We got 6 rolled tacos... they're taquitos with a little shredded mozzarella melted on top with some lettuce in the box and tiny scoop of guacamole. They only have ONE SAUCE. A watered down tomato liquid with not even .25 stars of spiciness and hardly any chunks of onion, diced tomato, or cilantro. Was told Mr. G's get voted best taco every year and have been around 40-something years. Maybe they mean other locations? Costco frozen taquitos are 50% better than these rolled tacos and Taco Bell has a better bean and cheese burrito. read more
