I have lived in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland for 6 years and have NEVER been to Grum's Sub…read moreShop, a beloved local institution, until a blustery November day when my ADHD brain refused to let me move on with my day until I ate a sandwich. After a brief glance at the menu (and picking up a gummy worm flavored diet mountain dew from their vending machine...), I ordered their Grum Sandwich (7" for $8) without peppers and swapped out the oil for stadium mustard as well as an order of their plain "grumizza" to indulge in for dinner. It was only $2.75!!! How can I resist that?? I am not exaggerating when I say that I would die for this sandwich and I don't know if it was my obsessive ADHD brain talking or not, but it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. There was sooooo much meat on there, the spice mix was amazing, and the bread.... woweeee wow, so soft and fluffy and oh my god delicious. AND IT WAS ONLY 8 DOLLARS. The grumizza made for a great dinner as well. Using the same bread as the sandwiches, they loaded it up with sauce, ooey gooey cheese, and that spice mix I love so much. I hit my carb quota for a week in just one day but my god, was it worth it! I should also mention the place was packed and the diligent staff worked very hard to keep up with all the orders and they did a great job! My only suggestion is adding the ability to provide customers with a glass of water. I DEFINITELY will be back!!!

They are know for the "Grumsteer" but all the subs I've had have been delicious. Filled to the brim with meat and dressings. $8 for a half and $16 for a full. Turkey sub is great as is the Roast Beef. I will continue to eat here. It is busy and has limited hours. 8.3 out of 10.

Finally, my husband and I went because we set a goal for 2026 to try a new bakery. Honeybirch did not disappoint! The friendly couple who owns the shop is hard at work putting out delicious and ever changing goods. I got hooked by the cardamom bun, which luckily is one of their staples. We also enjoyed some savory pastries and loaves of bread. Can't wait to make this a more regular part of our bakery rotation.

For a discounted price of about $9, I came home with 4 delicious baked goods and a mini baguette about an hour before they closed for the day. Note: $9 is way less than what you will normally pay for these 5 items. They average around $4 each. I got a savory scone, a massive cookie, a mini baguette, an apple muffin, and a huge cinnamon roll. I ate the cinnamon roll nearly right away once I got home. The cinnamon roll with cream cheese ($6) was SOOOOO moist and decadent! I warmed it up for a few seconds and then enjoyed one of the best cinnamon roll I have ever had. The vanilla and cinnamon were very prominent. Definitely a calorie bomb though. I shared the other sweet treats with my sister the next day and we agreed that the next best item was the muffin. I should also mention that the staff member that helped me that afternoon was very nice and most likely the owner. He was very helpful in explaining what each item I got in my box was and also in helping me decide on a gift for a friend I was about to see soon. I bought my friend a box of locally made teas for about $14 and she loved them! I definitely hope to come back here soon (once I have worked off the pounds from this most recent visit haha)!

Sande (who is hearing impaired) was having a hard time hearing what I was saying because the music was really loud. It was Jimi Hendrix so at least they had good taste but when I had to repeat my order several times, the employees should have taken a cue that the music was too loud. None of the sandwiches or entrees on the board had prices which I found to be odd... We ordered soup, lasagna slice and stromboli (all of which were pre-made/packaged). They asked twice if we wanted the items heated and we said no twice in return. 15 minutes later, we were still awaiting our order even though were were only 4 patrons in the store the entire time we were there. What was taking so long to put 3, pre-made packaged items in containers and into a bag? Finally I went up to the counter and asked what was taking so long and they said they were still getting things ready (which was a bad sign). Sure enough, when we got the food, they had heated the lasagna and stromboli which was useless because by the time we got back home, it had to be reheated. The stromboli was pretty good. 3.5 stars out of 5 but the lasagna was awful. Not cheesy, almost no sauce and just dry and uninteresting, 1 star. The split pea soup was incredibly salty, 2.5 stars. Overall i'd give them 1 star and we won't be returning.
