WORTH EVERY CARB CALORIE. Seriously. Just eat the bread. Your taste buds will be very happy. Everything is good PLUSSSS the gluten free desserts... pretty darn good for no glutes.

They were out of the Challah bread so 4 stars lol I got their egg sandwich with provolone, red peppers, and ham to go. The grilled bread was amazing, hardly any peppers I was a bit disappointed. Very open space with high and low top chairs. A few booths. They have stairs down to the patio out back, very cute. Staff was nice, I would go back to try their lunch sandwiches.

Top: Claudio on white bread. Bottom: ham and cheese sandwich on focaccia bread with broccoli cheddar and potato soup with kettle chips.

We stopped in for lunch and it exceeded our expectations! We ordered a ham sandwich on focaccia bread with potato, broccoli and cheddar soup, and the Claudio sandwich with white bread. It was all spectacular! The story of how the shop started was also sweet to read inside the restaurant. We will definitely stop here again next time we are in the area.

This place has great pastries, the Russian tea biscuits are a super secret yummy thing to try but you need to come early to get some! They have solid coffee, tea and drinks hot and cold to complete their goodies. They also make hot breakfast sandwiches which look great. There is seating that is hightop or eight tables. And there's ample parking outside, which is close to the entrance.

I am visiting family and friends in Cleveland. Had free time so grabbing lunch before seeing a movie. I was looking for a place to grab a salad. Walking into Stone Oven Bakery there was a short line, as I arrived during the lunch rush. The line quickly moved and cafe worker took my order. There are a lot of bakery, sandwich and salad options. I settled on the Chicken Romaine Salad. I also ordered an Iced Coffee. The coffee was ready right away while I waited a couple of minutes for my salad. The salad included a slice of fresh bread, which was delicious. Chicken, cucumbers, red peppers and croutons were stacked on the salad. It came wear balsamic vinaigrette. Everything worked well together and I enjoyed the salad. This is definitely a good stop if you are in the Cedar Lee area. I don't often come to this area but it is a nice spot.

This is a lovely quaint bakery. They make good sandwiches. If you are near by and need a snack or lunch, then yes pop in. I would not make a special trip. The bread was very soft and good. The meat and cheese are quality the side cold salad was good. Service: order at counter, not the most friendly. And you pick up your food and then bus your own table.

Food: very good sandwiches, fresh bread, good quality meats Ambiance: casual and informal Service: self-service, order at counter and pick up when ready Overall cleanliness: average Bathroom cleanliness: average Staff: decent but not memorable

Good baked items. Super disappointing curried chicken salad sandwich. Literally chicken salad and a piece of lettuce on dry bread. Nothing blends it together. I asked for a side of mayo but still had to get rid of a slice of bread to make it moist enough to eat. So dry. The chicken salad was flavorful and mildly sweet.

I'm so sad about this, but this was not my favorite experience at Leavened. Customer service was great of course but my selections fell short. I got a mushroom and ricotta croissant, which was fine. I forgot the ricotta was supposed to be there because it mostly tasted liked mushroom, but it was good. I also got the cinnamon monkey bread. This was not good. It was seemingly cooked in the paper that it was served in so the top of the bread pieces were crunchy, the middle was softer and then everything else was completely stuck to the paper. I didn't get to eat about 1/3 of what I paid for and I had to work really hard for the other 1/3. Also, the bread had a very spicy taste. It must have been cinnamon and allspice, but it was entirely too much and very overpowering. It truly tasted like a spicy savory bread which is not what I was expecting or wanted. Monkey bread is usually gooey and sweet. This missed the mark, but that's okay. I'll certainly return for another treat soon. Also the bread was looking fire this day.

I think I've tried this place enough to finally declare it an overall disappointment. Today I tried…read morethe hoisin tofu sandwich. The bread was fresh and crusty, there were two small strips of tofu that had maybe been dribbled on by hoisin sauce at some point, some lettuce and jalapeño slices, and carrots. The sandwich was dry as a bone and a really sad empty version of a banh mi. The chocolate rye cookie I bought as a back up was thankfully still deliciously chocolatey and soft as usual. The guy at the register said the bread pudding still has a "cinnamon roll base, so it has orange in it" despite nothing in the sign denoting this awful addition to bread pudding and the fact that cinnamon rolls are not orange rolls. But I digress and I won't fight with a cashier over their poor decisions lol. Also got a cherry chocolate sourdough on impulse. Pray it is soft inside.

I was looking for a bakery that makes Dobos Torte and came across Farkas Pastry Shop. Not only was the Dobos Torte DELICIOUS, it was a beautiful, fancier version of what my mother used to make for me growing up. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We also loved the poppyseed roll as well as the Tepertös Pogácsa. It was great talking with Mike while picking up my order. It was well worth the drive to Cleveland! We ordered the Napoleon, Amaretto Square, the Gerbaud, and Apple Linzer. The Napoleon was a 10 out of 10. We are one in the car and went back for more. The texture was great. Flaky, creamy, delicious. The Amaretto Square. Was good as well. Not too sweet, beautifully made. The Amaretto flavor wasn't as good as some others I've had. Maybe it's the type of flavoring/Amaretto used. The Gerbaud was definitely a crunchier dessert. Again made beautifully and has great flavor. The Apple Linzer. Another hit. The filling and Crust were perfect. Wouldn't change a thing. Service was great. Obviously this place has been around for a very long time. They know what they are doing. Only thing I would say is that it needs a facelift. Maybe not for locals but coming from out of town the look doesn't make you want to come in. Nor does the way the pastries are show cased. It just all feels run down. Not a place I would ever visit or offer good from ordinarily if I hadn't read such great reviews before going. We all eat with our eyes first.
