It was cool the tour gave an overview of the dam but most of it was self-guided. They do a pickup from the hotel which is nice. You don't really get to go inside the dam, so if you're expecting that, it's not the case, but you do get an idea. There also wasn't really enough time given to go eat or go to the gift shop. There were also some antelope on the way or sheep I'm not sure what exactly they were, so we stopped there. There was a history of the dam given which was interesting. Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs because there is no elevator. They also provided a bottle of water. Wait for the bathroom near the gift shops. Trust me, you don't want to go to the one next to the dam. That being said, the dam itself is an amazing architectural feat, especially taking into account that it was built at a time with very minimal technology. 96 people died building it, and some Native Americans as well, whom they did not count at the time because those were the times. It was also interesting to learn that the Dam was built during the Great Depression and people lined up to work this dangerous job risking their lives because there was no other work. Definitely worth seeing the Dam, whatever Dam tour you take! read more

This was a very exciting tour. Our driver and tour guide was fantastic. He provided history about Las Vegas, Seven Magic Mountains, and the Hoover Dam. The trip consisted of 3 stops: 1 - Seven Magic Mountains; 2 - Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge; 3 - Top of the Hoover Dam. Only one issue, I wish we had a chance to walk across the Hoover Dam, but I would have been too afraid to do so either way. After 4 or 5 trips to Vegas I decided that it was time to take a short break from the lights, food, drink and gambling and finally see the Hoover Dam... A long time bucket list item for me. I could not be happier with the Mr. Las Vegas tour! First, there were some scheduling changes due to increased security checks at the dam. Dan contacted me by both email and phone to ensure that the revised schedule would work. He offered to refund the fee if it didn't. Must admit that Mr. Las Vegas predicted it perfectly. Our van was through security in 5 minutes... On the way out we could see from the line that the wait would have been about 45 minutes if we had left at the later time. Dan also notified me of the exact pick up point outside of Treasure Island and texted me with an update on the driver's ETA. I have never had so much communication from a tour service but it definitely made everything run smoothly. Bob, our driver, was nothing less than fantastic. A very low key gentleman who was full of local knowledge and continually went out of his way to ensure that everyone was comfortable. He answered every question, chatted with the security people and staff at the gift shop and was just a pleasure to spend a morning with. First time that I have ever been on a tour where I felt like it was my uncle showing us around rather than a tour guide who was reading off of a script (despite one really bad pun that Bob claimed was mandatory.) The tour itself was exactly as advertised...a three hour tour with stops in Boulder City, a Mead Lake overlook, a walk to the center of the bridge for a fantastic view of the dam and a drive over the dam to a scenic spot, small gift shop and really cool bit of WWII history. Don't expect to linger at any stop. Bob gave a short talk at each location that, once again, felt like it came frim a local friend instead of a tour guide, time for pictures and bathrooms and moved us along. On a closing note, the van was new, immaculate and stocked with cold water and basic snacks. Nothing fancy... Just enough to keep everyone comfortable. The stated goal of the tour is really to maximize the experience in half a day and Mr. Las Vegas does a great job. I highly recommend them! read more

This review has come a couple months late but I didn't forget to absolutely praise this! My friends and I went to Vegas for a little trip and we wanted to do some sight seeing but figured given the time it would be near impossible to accomplish. We were in a lyft and talking about wanting to see the Hoover Dam or Valley of Fire when our driver turned out to be Mr Las Vegas! We made the arrangements for him to pick us up the next day at our hotel and we couldn't believe our luck! He was absolutely fantastic! He provided us with snacks and lunch. He even went out of his way to take pictures and share them with us. I truly believed we met a beautiful soul! He was so accommodating to our needs and he really went above and beyond what was required. Not to mention the price wasn't horrible at all. We really wanted to see the Hoover dam during our trip to Vegas so we booked the Hoover dam 3 hour tour. John was our tour guide and he was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. We stopped through the little town of Boulder City and did a stop in their museum. All in all we spent about 30 minutes in Boulder City, then about 20 minutes at lake Mead before heading to the bridge that overlooks Hoover dam. We then spent about 30 minutes on the bridge. After that, we finally drove over the Hoover dam to a small area above it where you could look down on it. The reason for the 2 star review: WE NEVER GOT TO WALK ON THE DAM. That was the entire reason we booked a tour. We could have done better with an Uber or Lyft ride and just paying the $10 to go ourselves. We spent all this money for what was supposed to be a tour of Hoover dam that ended up being a tour of Boulder City and a bridge. We left highly disappointed and considering this was meant to be a one time trip for us, it likely ruined my one chance to get to walk on the dam. read more

Chris was our tour guide and did a great job! We got lots of interesting information and he was able to talk for most of the trip. We booked last minute and they were very accommodating. Only complaint was we had to walk across to the Bellagio to catch the van and couldn't find the way to the pick up spot. However, he called to make sure we were in route. 5 Stars just isn't enough to describe Dan's hospitality and service. From start to end he took very great care of us. My boyfriend and I wanted to go to the Grand Canyon but a four hour drive didn't seem too thrilling. Thankfully for Mr. Las Vegas we were able to get the same thrills through this tour. This hike isn't for children. Definitely wear sneakers and loose fitting hiking clothes. The views are breath taking.
