Is there anything not to love about a margarita truck? Their margs are incredibly smooth, like the perfect melted adult slushee. And their tequila is good quality, you don't overly taste it but you definitely feel it melt the long day away. I got the half and half of lemon lime & peach, I loved the details of the rim being half and half too - you get bonus points for that one. 10 out of 10 - would recommend.

May 11, 2019 Saturday - 2:30 PM for a drink 3 adults Atmosphere - NA stars Food - 5 star Service - 5 star Background - I have been following this truck for a while via Facebook. So when he said that he was going to be at the Riverfest and that I had already this event in my plans I was excited. Atmosphere - I am not rating this as it is food truck, but a very cool one. Food Drink - First round we all tried the lemon lime margarita. This was an excellent choice. The second I tried the strawberry mango margarita. I enjoyed the strawberry mango but the ladies tried mine and both agreed it was a little too sweet for them. Third and fourth rounds they only had the lemon lime. I think they could add an option to the menu of an additional shot of tequila to your margarita. Service - The owner and father were super friendly. Bonus they had a card swipe you can use your credit card. Future - I went there four times this day, so yes I would go back.

I have had their margaritas from the Feed the Camel event and Food Truck Friday. Great flavors, great product, great customer service! I cannot say enough good things! If you like a margarita (with a definite kick of tequila) try them out!

It was the perfect evening for Food Truck Friday. Tonite's review is all about Rick's Pizza…read more The gal who took my order was absolutely lovely and the pizza was fresh and piping hot! Can you believe I got two slices for $8.50 what a deal! Not many items at food truck Friday under $10 bucks, so I think I scored big time! I love enjoying the Idlewild park beauty with the Truckee River run through the park! It's so fun to see all ages out on a Friday night! It's one of my favorite things to do in the summer! Next time, you don't know what to do, grab your lawn chair, a cold drink and come and experience one of many food truck choices! There is something for everyone!!!

First off, I have to admit I completely underestimated the magnitude of this event as Idlewild Park was pretty poppin and parking was nearly impossible. After we finally found a spot to park, we grabbed out chairs and headed to the Park. After picking our spots by the duck pond, we walked around a bit to survey the offerings. We tried three different trucks and sampled some pretty delicious bites. Some of the lines were a long wait and some were moving along pretty fine. But there's pretty much something for everyone. I would definitely hit this up again, but probably try to arrive earlier to plan better parking. It was a bit of a challenge navigating this for the first time, but at least I know what to expect now. I really wish my hometown had something like this. May try it again later this summer.

We were lucky enough to partake of this fabulous ice cream truck that was part of a BBQ to which we…read morewere invited. The premise of the Lazy Sundae Truck is simple. Delicious ice cream sandwiches with fresh baked cookies and scoops of ice cream as well as waffle cones and kid sized cones with ice cream. The more impressive part of Lazy Sundae is their execution. Despite crowds, they expertly churned out ice cream sandwiches and ice cream scoops of multiple flavors (Blueberry, Strawberry, Vanilla Bean, Chocolate, Mint Chocolate, Birthday Cake) and numerous cookies (Snickerdoodle, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip). Our order: Snickerdoodle Cookie Sandwich with Vanilla Bean - super fresh cookie with a huge scoop of delicious vanilla bean ice cream. I'm not sure if they outsource or make their own ice cream but it's high quality. Super soft and fresh snickerdoodle Cookie. Peanut Butter Cookie Sandwich with Strawberry Ice Cream - huge chunks of strawberry and a very fresh peanut butter cookie. It's delicious! Mint Chocolate Chip with Waffle Cone - Surprisingly the ice cream looks almost like vanilla and has no trace of the radioactive green color you see in most store bought mint ice cream, but the mint flavor is strong and unmistakable as well as a perfect match for the delicious chocolate chips. Overall, I was super impressed with this ice cream truck. Quality was phenomenal and every flavor was superb. Highly recommended!

I called Lazy Sundae in hopes for a miracle but they were already booked (it was the middle of summer so I wasn't expecting them to be available) however they referred me to a couple other businesses in town to see if they could help. I just thought it was super awesome for a business to refer me to its competitors to help me save our event.

But Big Blue BBQ advertised Octopus Tacos ... so I had to try. It's only a short walk from my home so I trekked over there just as they opened ... I was the first customer. Ordered my Octo-Tacos and then had to wait ... apparently the food inspector got there just as I placed my order and several employees had to vacate the truck so she could do her job. This is a good thing! And, apparently they passed and I got my tacos. Now, they were very tasty. The first taco was a little chewy (probably because it may have overcooked while everyone was outside the truck). The second one was more tender and really, really good. So if you're interested and tacos and octopus ... this is a good choice. Then I tried some quick made ice cream that I ate on my way home. Also very tasty... Nice Cream ... made to order.

This is good for those of us who like to sample different fares but don't want to fight the crowds from Foodtruck Fridays. The only downer was that there are only two porta potties on the farthest corner of the arts center parking lot. There is a large grassy area in front of the McKinley arts center where you can plop down a blanket or some beach chairs, kickback and hangout. I tried quite a lot tonight but these are the dishes that stuck out for me- The queso birria taco from the pink taco truck. Meat and cheese in a pink fried tortilla with onions, cilantro and dipping sauce. It's packed with flavor. The pig wings from slaters wing a ding truck were Meaty and delicious! The fried Nashville chicken sandwich from big blue Q of Tahoe. Winner! Winner! Chicken dinner! This is huge! The picture does not do it justice at all. Crunchy, flavorful and crazy good;) Looking forward to seeing which trucks will be there next week!
