Kind of hidden, hole in the wall fast food. I ordered the Asada fries and bacon cheeseburger and it was done in less then 15 minutes. The asada fries are so good! Get extra jalapeños, you won't regret it they are grilled and so good!

Awesome Carne Asada Fries with extra Chile Torreados!

Mexiburger was great. Juicy, tasty, and savory. Food was delivered quickly. Sat in the sun and enjoyed the meal and enjoyed the day.

Even though it is quite small, it is a good little dine in place. It was even rated 25th out of the whole fast-foods in California on new times delta. Their food is oh so good. I personally choose the number 1 and number 4 as my favorite. The number four is the cheeseburger with a medium drink and special season fries. The burger is so juicy. It is cooked to a crisp perfection on top of a buttery but non-soggy bun, topped with lettuce, onion, tomato, and a special sauce that just takes your taste buds on a joyride. The number one is a double cheeseburger with bacon served with a large season fry and large drink. What I love about the drive in, is that the price fits perfect for how much food comes with your order. It is a perfect quiet environment to go on a date. Which is exactly what my boyfriend and I did we enjoyed every second of it and to finish off our date he surprised me with a banana split to share. It comes with chocolate strawberries, and pineapple ice cream, with the cut fruit on the top. I was not a big fan of the pineapple but i will say it was the best banana split I've ever had. I was told I could not order food, which was confusing considering they close at 10 PM. If employees want to stop serving that early, maybe update the closing hours to 9:30 instead. The speaker system is outdated and so staticky you can barely hear anything being said. The employee taking orders was rude from the start and acted irritated when I had to ask multiple times what she said because she was mumbling. I ordered a Reese's cyclone and was handed an Oreo cyclone instead. When I politely explained it was the wrong order, I was basically told I would have to take it regardless of it not being what I ordered. When I pushed back, things got unnecessarily escalated instead of being handled with simple customer service. Bringing over two other employees while remaking my cyclone made the situation even more uncomfortable and completely unnecessary. After all the drama and attitude over such a simple mistake, I honestly didn't even feel comfortable eating it and ended up throwing it away because I wasn't sure if it had been tampered with. If you don't like your job, maybe you shouldn't work there, or at least take some customer service training. A little kindness and professionalism go a long way. Save yourself the trouble and drive a few extra miles to Exeter for Frosty King or Burger Express. Much friendlier employees and far better service.

I've been coming here since I was a kid, long before I knew anything about food writing or nostalgia. Back then, it was just breakfast. Now, it's memory. Walk inside and you're greeted by a world built from the bones of The Dukes of Hazzard. Walls lined with memorabilia, old merchandise, photos, and relics from a show that celebrated mischief, grit, and Southern charm. It's not decoration, it's identity. Boss Hogs feels like the kind of place Bourdain would've wandered into on a long road trip, looked around, and said, "Yeah... this is America." For years, I stuck to the chicken fried steak, the dish that raised me. Crispy, tender, honest. The kind of breakfast that doesn't need reinvention because it already knows exactly what it is. But lately I've been exploring. An omelette one week. Dinner the next. Boss Hogs serves dinner now, and somehow it fits, hearty plates that taste like they were made by people who care more about feeding the town than impressing outsiders. Today it was corned beef. Surprisingly good corned beef, salty, warm, comforting. The kind of dish that reminds you why diners matter. They're not chasing trends. They're feeding people. And Boss Hogs feeds its people well. They've always had those little touches that tell you who they are: a variety of creamers, jams lined up like tiny offerings, toast that somehow tastes better here than anywhere else. The staff is the kind of crew you don't forget, friendly, familiar, and deeply woven into the community. Police stop in. Firefighters stop in. Locals stop in. Boss Hogs is one of those rare places where everyone is welcome, and everyone is fed like family. In a small town like Farmersville, a diner like this shouldn't be a hidden gem, but it is. People drive past without knowing what they're missing. They don't see the history on the walls, the pride in the service, or the quiet excellence in a plate of corned beef or chicken fried steak. Boss Hogs doesn't pretend to be anything fancy. It doesn't need to. It's real, and that's enough.

I went with the Juju Bleu, Calamity Jane, and Betsy Ross. I'll admit, I'm usually not a fan of bleu cheese, so I'm not sure why I picked the Juju Bleu--but I'm glad I did. It was surprisingly delicious. The Betsy Ross was solid and classic, with Thousand Island sauce--tasty, though nothing particularly standout. The Calamity Jane was the clear winner for me; the combination of sautéed onions, barbecue sauce, and mushrooms was absolutely spot-on. We also upgraded our side to clam chowder. It had great flavor, though it was a bit thicker than I prefer--not a dealbreaker by any means. Service really made the experience shine. Paula was phenomenal--attentive, friendly, and quick to check in on us and keep everything running smoothly. Overall, this is a great spot for lunch with friends or coworkers. Since it's right on Main Street, parking can be a bit tricky, so I'd recommend using a nearby public lot and taking a short walk over.
