I went to Rainbow Drive-In at 9:40 PM only wanting ice cream and experienced some of the worst customer service. I was told I could not order food, which was confusing considering they close at 10 PM. If employees want to stop serving that early, maybe update the closing hours to 9:30 instead. The speaker system is outdated and so staticky you can barely hear anything being said. The employee taking orders was rude from the start and acted irritated when I had to ask multiple times what she said because she was mumbling. I ordered a Reese's cyclone and was handed an Oreo cyclone instead. When I politely explained it was the wrong order, I was basically told I would have to take it regardless of it not being what I ordered. When I pushed back, things got unnecessarily escalated instead of being handled with simple customer service. Bringing over two other employees while remaking my cyclone made the situation even more uncomfortable and completely unnecessary. After all the drama and attitude over such a simple mistake, I honestly didn't even feel comfortable eating it and ended up throwing it away because I wasn't sure if it had been tampered with. If you don't like your job, maybe you shouldn't work there, or at least take some customer service training. A little kindness and professionalism go a long way. Save yourself the trouble and drive a few extra miles to Exeter for Frosty King or Burger Express. Much friendlier employees and far better service. read more

Drive through is very slow i believe there asleep back there ..won't be back don't recommend ..if your on time limit like lunch pass !!!

I stopped in here on my way home because it used to have really decent food. Well I'll never stop again the service at the drive through was extremely slow. This is a good spot for some drive thru fast food. They have basics like burgers, shakes, fries, ice cream, etc. The food was fine and was pretty cheap. Service was fairly quick, but our order was a little off. We asked for one of the burgers to have no pickles and later found out that they made 2 of our burgers completely plain (only a patty inside). I think the place is a good place to go by for a quick and easy meal but I would be extra clear on what you want ordered and check after. read more

Really frustrating. I used to love rainbow until this happen... The cashier was probably having a bad day and he just wasn't being the best. A lot of eye-rolling going on while he gave me my order. I can get over that. What was gross was how he had on gloves and touched my money to make the payment then with the same gloves went to get my ice cream cones. YUCK! Mostly during Covid-19 pandemic! I threw away my $17 worth of ice cream cones because i didn't want to make a big deal. They really need to work on their sanity procedures, and retrain their son when it comes to customer service i felt like a bother when i was making them a sale? Food okay like any other burger joints. Bad customer service. Cashier forgot to add burger to my order. After letting her know she said ok and that they will make. But after 7 minutes she calls me to tell me they can't find my order so she needs to charge me but she remembers me adding it before. So I was charged. Many people go there. Sometimes I like it sometimes I don't, but I don't like driving to Visalia. They have good hamburgers. The only thing I don't like prices of went up so much. My wife loves the corn dogs here cause she says that they are as close to fair corn dogs as you can get! Plus when you order your drink, add a flavoring for 50 cents the "cherry or vanilla or BOTH!" One mile south of 198 is this small fast food joint. Serving the usual selection of drive through items. The fried zucchini and corn dogs are decent as are the burgers. Nothing really special but they do have vanilla/cherry flavors to add to your drink preference. You could do worse by stopping at a chain. Indoor/outdoor seating. read more

Terrible service. Excellent food. They forgot the salt when I went through the drive through. Ok no problem right?! So I parked and went to the walk up window. They started yelling at me to get away from the window. I have dined in here many times over the years. They were upset that I came to the window without a mask. Are you kidding me! It is cooked to a crisp perfection on top of a buttery but non-soggy bun, topped with lettuce, onion, tomato, and a special sauce that just takes your taste buds on a joyride. The number one is a double cheeseburger with bacon served with a large season fry and large drink. What I love about the drive in, is that the price fits perfect for how much food comes with your order. It is a perfect quiet environment to go on a date. Which is exactly what my boyfriend and I did we enjoyed every second of it and to finish off our date he surprised me with a banana split to share. Good burger joint at a decent price. Had a burger and fry craving last night, so the hubby picked up dinner for us. I had the bacon double cheeseburger, and he had the pastrami sandwich. My burger was huge! I couldn't even put down half. My husband liked his sandwich, but did say that it was a little on the salty side. Pretty good food here, not your typical fast food taste at all. It's like cooking a frozen hamburger at home and adding all the fixing. The fries are very delicious!
