The cost to fix the lever should have been mitigated by the diagnostic fee, but that's a different story. A week later, 8/31, my husband goes to pop the hood on his car and the lever came off. My husband literally just paid $220 for the lever to be fixed so he calls the mechanic to explain the issue. The mechanic literally says "So what do you want me to do?" That is extremely unprofessional as my husband was just saying that he shouldn't have to repay to fix something that broke less than a week later. The mechanic did say to bring the car in, however, my husband was just trying to confirm that he wouldn't be charged again as we don't live close to the shop. The mechanic said "well I don't work for free" Get some respect when you speak to customers. No one was asking for free service - just to right the wrong. I 1000% do not recommend this mechanic.

We purchased a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee that has been a nightmare since day one. Despite having a 3-month/3,000-mile service contract, the vehicle has persistent engine issues that independent shops have identified as 'patchwork repairs' needing a full cylinder head replacement. We contacted the warranty company and the warranty company confirmed that there was no claim by Adam's to replace the heads. They only kept the car for 3 weeks to make it look like it was being repaired given the length of time. Beyond the mechanical failures, the business ethics are highly questionable. We left the car with them for repairs, and it was returned to us with 600+ additional miles on the odometer and an empty gas tank. They also failed to fix a mirror that was promised to be repaired at the time of sale. If you choose to ignore this feedback please do your due diligence and bring a mechanic with you. Something I now regret not doing. We have officially issued a demand letter for a full rescission of the sale ($10,134) due to their inability to provide a safe, reliable vehicle. Well I bought my items direct from toyotapart.com for $189 plus shipping (side body trim and spoiler) and I came here because they work on Toyota dealership cars. For those of you who don't know, not all toyota dealerships have body shops and places like these get contracted and you get charged more. Well, I brought my stuff here and they charged me $150 to install everything. Great service and friendly staff to assist you. They did a pro-tastic job on the little work they did on my car but it seems like they will do an outstanding job on your car should you choose to wrap it around a pole.

I chose Pete's because I was in Burbank and the reviews were good. I went there and the receptionist did a great job explaining the process. They promised that their fix would help me pass the emissions test and it did. I did not expect to pay that much but I wasn't in a position to get estimates. I had also recently experienced a broken door handle and a window that kept getting stuck due to a recent theft attempt and I was frustrated. The staff sensed my overall frustration but agreed to fix my door for the same price and i took the deal. I would recommend them because they were responsive and fast and their staff was amazing! They took my car to the emissions test so that was one less worry and I was able to go back to my life. Bravo Pete's! Petes is a good shop and I would use them again!

That is where the nightmare began. My husband was suddenly hit with a terminal illness and I was left to take care of all the problems my husband usually handled. My truck's engine light came on and I was told by Carmax that I could bring it to them or to an auto repair shop that was recognized by the warranty company that I purchased the car from. My husband had used Pete's for emissions before and it was on the top of the list. They discovered my truck needed a different engine. I say different because it certainly wasn't new. The cost was quoted as $10,000 which was paid by the warranty company. So why now in September 2026 is the truck still having the same problems??? Actually it is worse! After at least 5 times to this shop my car is spewing out clouds of white smoke!!! They picked up the truck on Monday 8/24/26 and returned it on 8/31/26. I drove it to work and back home. As I was driving so much smoke spewed out of the back of my truck I thought it was on fire! And of course my husband died in February this year so I feel like I am taken advantage of as a woman. I am devastated that I can't trust this guy. I have no recourse because I can't trade in the car.It is clearly a lemon and I am being treated like a fool.
