    Spicy Smashed Cucumbers

OMG!! Yum yum yum! Hidden gem on Dorchester. When I walked in, I did not expect the stylish modern Asian flair of the restaurant. We were immediately greeted at the door by a very nice hostess. She sat us at a quiet table, a booth along the wall. Our server was friendly and engaging. We started with the spicy smashed cucumbers. They were spicy and refreshing at the same time. I ordered the creamy spicy tofu ramen bowl. It was absolutely delectable! Full of umami. And just enough spice to add a very bold flavor. Some people may think it is too spicy; however, I found it perfect! My husband got the spicy chicken ramen bowl. He said it was the most authentic ramen he has had since he was in Korea. I highly recommend this place! We came on a rainy day and it fit our mood perfectly. Comfort in a bowl!

I love the vibe in this establishment. The owners are always nice. The ramen noodles were so good and all of the food was made to order. This is one place that you don't have to worry about being served cold food. If you're looking for good ramen/thai tea then come here.

Food was really good. I wish there was a gluten free option for noodles in the ramen but there were still vegetarian and vegan options to choose from. Ramen was very flavorful and had a nice kick to it. Everything was made fresh and came out hot. Staff were efficient and friendly. Lots of seating indoors and outdoors

Great restaurant addition to the North Charleston area! We gave the ramen a try on a Sunday afternoon and were not disappointed. First of all, the restaurant is beautiful and had great service. Our server was able to walk us through the menu, gave suggestions, and answered questions. We ended up ordering the pork buns, miso ramen, and the rich garlic chicken ramen. The bao buns were excellent and had so much flavor. I find other places may need extra sauce, but these had plenty, and with a light spice at the end. My husband ordered the miso ramen and I ordered the rich garlic chicken ramen. Both of the ramens were delicious and came with huge portions. The garlic ramen was quite rich (as the name suggests) and the chicken was slightly dry, but just being picky. The miso ramen with the pork was delicious as well! We are definitely planning on coming back, and I think it would be a good option to order take out also!

    Thai tea, Chicken Karaage, Tonkatsu

I stopped in for dinner tonight and got a Thai tea, chicken karaage, and a classic tonkotsu. Everything was pretty good! Not the best ramen I've had, and honestly a bit on the expensive side (though, Charleston area, so not a huge surprise), but still very tasty. Place was pretty chic inside and service was good and food came out fast. I appreciate that they are open until 10 on the weekends. J.Ja

    Shrimp tempura ramen bowl

This is my first experience trying ramen and I was not disappointed! I had the shrimp tempura ramen in pork broth and my husband had the beef rich garlic ramen. Our server was very nice and took great care of us.

Second visit and I must say my meal was much better. I still went with a ramen. This time, the Beef Ramen. The broth was much more flavorful, and the ingredients combine well. Portion size is decent, but I could have used a little more. I wish there was more beef in the meal. I was disappointed again because the menu states it comes with a beef rib. As you will see from my picture, there is none. I placed a to-go order, so I didn't realize it until I got home. I called them back, stating that it was missing, but was told that this was a "menu mistake." Well, this is the way it has been on the menu since you opened, so I feel it should be stated somewhere so customers will not think they are getting something when they are not. I'm giving them a 4 because the food is good and the service is quick and affordable.

I've been here twice now and it was delicious both times. The staff is super friendly and the place is super cute! I've had the peach green tea with rainbow jelly sand it's delicious! I had the Takoyaki-Octopus Ball both times for an appetizer and both times it was delicious! Super favorable. My first time coming I had the Ramen with our pork and I with an extra egg. The broth was delicious and the eggs were perfectly cooked. This was super filling! I couldn't even finish it. The second time I came I tried the shrimp teriyaki bento box. It came with soup and a salad. Tons of food. And super worth the price! And the shrimps were delicious, the sauce was super good! You definitely will Not leave hungry! I recommend trying this place out.

    Here for lunch!

It was, decent. But I think they will improve overtime as things get settled. No point comparing it to other cities. But it is the best-tasting broth I've had so far anywhere in Charleston and suburbs. Issues: - Eggs were too cold - Pork slices too thin, need to be thicker - More broth please - Noodles were a bit hard - Please don't spray cleaners next to customers who are eating...the aerosol gets into the food and ruins the smell. Maybe spray your napkins in the back, and use those to clean the tables, a big no-no! I'm fully aware they're going through adjustments during their soft opening, so I will definitely be going back to see how things have improved. Wishing them all the best and a big warm welcome, we've been waiting so long for good ramen!

We finally have ramen in Charleston! But more importantly, TAKOYAKI!!!! For those that don't know it's a fried ball of batter with a piece of octopus inside, drizzled with eel sauce and bonito (dried shaved fish). It's crazy delicious, and 5 for 8.99 was a really good price. And it's good! We had the: Takoyaki. Super good 9/10 Karaage Bao. Flavorful, solid. 8/10 Chicken katsu. Fun presentation, could have used more pickled veggies, and a runnier egg 7.8/10 Spicy tonkatsu ramen. Flavorful, rich, good chase pork 8.4/10. I live downtown so it's a little bit of a drive but absolutely worth it in my opinion. Always eat in. It will be better.

    Tonkostu and shrimp combo
    Shayla V.

My friend and I love ramen. We do not live close by and drove a good drive to get here. She ordered the calamari and then we both got Tonkostu & Shrimp with no corn. Pork broth:pork chashu, shrimp tempura, wakame seaweed, non spicy bean sprout, green onion, half seasoned egg, bamboo, corn, nori seaweed and served with thick noodles. The calamari was little nuggets, I felt like this took away from the flavor a little too much. And my broth although delicious, it was still lacking some flavors, we asked for chili sauce but it still didn't really do the trick, and the noodles def needed like another 2 minutes cooking time, they were al dente for this dish. If they were closer we'd prob give it another shot but it's too far to drive with all the competition we have right near us!

Tried this new ramen spot on a whim as I was passing by! Loved the cute decorations of the cherry blossoms, wood and umbrellas. We were seated right away and our waitress was very attentive. We ordered karaage for our appetizer which is a favorite of mine. The bites were small but crispy, which I really like. I ordered the tonkatsu rich garlic ramen. The noodles were ok, a little thin for me but the broth was really delicious. It especially helped me with the cold I seen to be developing. I usually don't finish my ramen but I finished this whole bowl! I think this place will get even better with time!

The broth was impossibly milky and deeply flavorful -- the kind that stops you mid-bite. The ambiance and service were a complete and welcome surprise. We were visiting Charleston from St. Pete, and having traveled to many countries around the world, I rarely feel compelled to write reviews. But this place moved me. They could easily hold their own as a full-service, five-star ramen restaurant on every level -- price, value, quantity, and the overall experience. The whole nine yards. Highly recommend.

Strangely, mine was brought to me packaged for takeout; I don't know why their in-house ordering would default to that but maybe I hit a wrong button? Maybe some room for process improvement there, but they didn't give me any trouble about transitioning to a dine-in bowl. Their vegetable ramen is promised with a citrus note and there were discernible little bits of yuzu in it. The tofu it comes with is marinated in something sweeter, which wasn't my favorite flavor combination but is typical to the cuisine. I found the flavor improved with tableside spices; they have both a black pepper mix and a house chili powder. The portion size was not huge, and even adding extra inari on the side just satisfied my cravings, and this was after I'd had breakfast. There were some Japanese-speaking people dining there who seemed to be slurping approvingly. I could imagine having had a better experience, but the quality of broth and noodles was worth coming for me.

I recommend making a reservation. We did not but Ms. Myles graciously accommodated our table for 2. A few hours prior we checked and reservations were wide open, but by the time we got there, they were pretty booked. The staff is wonderful and the food is made with care. Simply delicious! We began with a cup of their clear broth that was light and flavorful and cleansed our palettes for the grilled meats to come. At the suggestion of Ms. Myles, we had the Crispy Pork for an appetizer. Nice and crisp pieces of pork whose fat was properly rendered back into the meat. A lot of places miss this important step. It was served with a luscious white sauce and lightly vinegared hot sauce. Then we went right into their specialty- Yakitori We had one of each of the following: Momo- chicken Thigh Chicken Tenderloin with Yuzu Honey Glaze Australian Wagyu Beef- they offer American Wagyu, and A5 Japanese Kobe as well Bacon Wrapped Crab- high quality Crab stick wrapped in bacon..this was a standout for me.
