The tofu it comes with is marinated in something sweeter, which wasn't my favorite flavor combination but is typical to the cuisine. I found the flavor improved with tableside spices; they have both a black pepper mix and a house chili powder. The portion size was not huge, and even adding extra inari on the side just satisfied my cravings, and this was after I'd had breakfast. There were some Japanese-speaking people dining there who seemed to be slurping approvingly. I could eat a meal of those alone. They were dense and flavorful and the dipping sauce was slightly spicy. The scallion pancake was a surprise delight. It was crispy and not too greasy again with a delicious dipping sauce. The miso soup...chefs kiss. It looked like ordinary miso soup but there was something extra that we really loved!! And the egg roll was big and juicy and fried and wonderful. It's a veggie egg roll but don't let that fool you. So much flavor and again the sweet chili dipping sauce left us drooling. Most of those sauces are too sweet but this was the perfect blend and the perfect spice level. The rice bowl was full of flavor!!
