Hands down our favorite pizza in the area! Doesn't look like much from the outside but we have never had a bad experience. Our go-to is large, round, bacon, pepperoni & green olives. initial guy taking the order was clearly high. Couldn't remember my order after I had just given it to him and then tried charging me $20+ more than what it should've been. Ordered pizza, bread and a sub And knew $70 was too much. Next guy brought it to $50 which okay...he was going to hang up before I had even given my address. Was told 45 mins. food didn't arrive until 1:32 minutes later. Took a bite and the food is cold. Tried calling the store, no answer. I'm about as pissed as could be and want a resolution for this. I used to love Mr. Pizza. Years ago, their pizza was perfection and they had the best pizza/salad/breadsticks/soda combo deal. I kind of fell off of the MP wagon after a few so-so experiences but recently decided to try it again. Last time the pizza was good- not great like it used to be, but good. I don't know when the breadsticks got so tiny, don't love that, but at least they still tasted yummy. Our pizza last night was a complete flop. SO thin, flat, overcooked and just not good. The funnel cake fries are delicious. They would have been better with the raspberry sauce I ordered. Unfortunately, it wasn't in the bag. I would HIGHLY recommend the fried pickles. They are probably the best I've had...and I love fried pickles. The pizza was delicious. They offer fresh mushrooms, which is awesome! However, they were cut so big they didn't cook well enough. We also had the Parmesan garlic fries. I didn't like them and neither did my husband. They tasted weird. I would definitely go back. As one of the only places open late (and who deliver), many of us who work third shift will order here. Every time we order here, they forget something (fries, drinks, ranch, etc.). Last time I ordered here, I ordered 1 lb of boneless wings. The menu said it was $11.49. I was charged $18.49 and a $4 delivery fee. In fact, the three of us who ordered were each charged a $4 delivery fee despite going to the same spot. When I called, I was told they updated the menu recently and some prices increased. Total rip off. I can forgive the delivery fee, but that is a huge price increase. I'm done with this place. read more

Unfortunately this is the only way to contact the restaurant, so a review it is.. normally they're pretty ok, but they infrequently read the instructions on their orders. I have an allergy to olives, so the $19 nachos I ordered tonight went straight into the trash since they couldn't be bothered to read a simple instruction and there were olives covering everything. $20 wasted.. they don't do refunds and only occasionally make your order correctly. When it's right, it's good. I'll change this review if I'm compensated at all for their error, which is unlikely. Order with caution, and don't expect it to be correct. read more

This place is the worst. Would give it a zero if possible. Made an order, never showed up. Called 90 minutes after only to be told they cancelled it. The manager claimed they tried to call and the number was wrong. That is a lie. We are less than a mile away, well within their delivery area as they do seem to deliver all over the city. Another of my work go to ordering places when we work midnights. Most tend to get pizza which I have had many different kinds and they are delicious for sure especially the veggie version. I tend to get appetizers such as potato wedges, fries or my favorite potato skins. The potato skins are thick and delicious and are a hearty meal. asty nasty nasty. Now my husband and I have been LOYAL customers for YEARS. Spending well over a grand over the years to this restaurant. Now these past 3 or 4 times have been mediocre at best so we boycotted for a few weeks just to see if it was a fluke. Nope. Quality is a joke, my pizza is COMPLETELY inedible and when I told me husband to please call up there and let them know (they ALSO put on the wrong sauc 1e) the manager told him that she had made the pizza, he was wrong, this was the right sauce (no it's not. Their bbq sauce tastes like McDonald's. Its nasty and basic. I ONLY EAT the chipotle bbq and IT'S A REGULAR ORDER WE MAKE. Now I WISH this was the only issue (feel free to look at my pictures of the "MASTERPIECE" this individual threw together) I waited for 45 minutes, which is pretty standard. Like the delivery driver, hes a really cool dude, no complaints to him. But what isnt standard is my pizza was barely room temp and my breadsticks were hot as hell. (I was a manager at a pizza place, I know when stuff is sitting out for a long time). My pizza... oh sweet God I wanna cry. I ordered a pepperoni and pineapple pizza with chipotle bbq sauce. What I got looks like my nine ridden face when I was 15 years old. How can you make a pizza dry as hell and STILL soaking wet?! The texture is like wet rubber, the sauce is more water then flavor, its SO WET AND NASTY the TOPPINGS wont even stay on every single piece I picked up became wet bbq dough (see pictures) The cheese was hard and not even melted all the way onto the crust. Best thing is? Manager told me shes not going to fix it, which brought me to this here yelp page. Either train her better or fire her, it's always THE SAME FEMALE MANAGER that gives us issues and we've had enough. We will be returning to Dominos Pizza, where they actually care about customer satisfaction and the food they put out. Pay the delivery dude more. If that's his manager the poor guy deserves it. Mostly everything is yummy at Mr. Pizza's. Especially the pizza's! There are so many to choose from even though I have a few go-to meals that I like to have outside of the pizza norm. One being the cod fish dinner. BUT twice within the past couple of months, the hush puppies that come with the fish dinner were just pure oil and cornmeal that crumble when you try to pick them up. Even gently! The insides are soaked with oil & are a weird looking grey color. Not the firm dark brown crunchy texture on the outside and soft golden brown fluffy texture on the inside that hushpuppies are supposed to be.Something changed with the formula/ingredients possibly Please get better hushpuppies or go back to the way you made them before Mr. Pizza. The Fish is ALWAYS good though and also the fries when they are still hot! read more

So I've been a loyal customer of this location for 3 years, BUT I can no longer support this business with my dollars. The food is fine...but they've got a driver who is a real jerk. We decided to try a new pizza spot for delivery and chose Mr Pizza because of the wonderful reviews. We extremely disappointed. The pizza arrived ~45 minutes past the estimated arrival time. The pizza crust was soft and borderline soggy. I ordered banana peppers and received bell peppers instead; not the same. The wings were also soggy and not very flavorful. Some of the best pizza ever. Can't go wrong with classic cheese & pepperoni (or the godly combination of bacon, feta, pineapple and garlic crust). Their apps & dinners are surprisingly delicious, too. Their hotdogs are humongous, and when I finally ordered one I couldn't believe how huge it was. I laughed until I cried. I have never seen a hotdog of such enormity. Anyway, it was beautiful, just like the rest of their food. Except for the macaroni bites. Not exactly for me, but their regular mac & cheese is on point. I don't understand how they can crank out so much great food from such a small place. And the delivery woman who usually delivers the pizzas is awesome. My favorite pizza place to order from in the Ypsi/Ann Arbor area!! Good, inexpensive, fast pizza with yummy flavored crust. Can't go wrong.

When the staff at Mr. Pizza hears my phone number, or any of Dan's roommates phone numbers, they all recite the address before we can finish giving out our digits. That's how often we order from there. One of the delivery drivers told us that whenever a delivery to that address comes up, they all clamor for the chance to deliver whatever greasy delight our drunken selves requested, because 'this house tips the best.' We have also been known to have multiple deliveries in a night from Mr. Pizza, because when someone orders it, we all end up ordering it. Yes, the size of the tip is probably directly proportionate to how many spirits have been imbibed that night, but when you're in that 2am Saturday night state of mind, good pizza on wheels will bring you to your knees. The fact that it's actually great pizza is just a perk! So, what are our Mr. Pizza staples? The toppings are fresh and generously portioned, the crust is buttery and crisp and the sauce and cheese marry it all together beautifully, so ANY pizza from here has real taste potential. Some repeat offenders in the Terrible Decisions House are Sausage and Pepperoni (duh), Chicken and Bacon (c'mon), and (my fave) Chicken and Feta. Honorable mention to their inventive gourmet pizza section, most notably the one they call 'The Reubenator,' which is literally a Reuben in pizza form. Again, not my favorite (I love Reubens, but this comes with pickles, see past and future posts for reference to long-standing pickle hate) but every time that pizza arrives on the doorstep, it's usually devoured completely before anyone hits the hay. Feta Cheese Bread. Order it. Order it with Greek dressing on the side if you're willing to pay a little extra for a whole new level of taste. Seriously, I love this place. It's very reasonably priced, borderline cheap, and the staff is always friendly, no matter what time you call a huge order in. Do yourself a favor and order up some Mr. Pizza the next time you're too drunk to weave your way to Taco Bell. You'll be glad you did (especially the next morning, as it's really top notch for kicking a hangover). read more

I'd seen flyers for this small local chain for a while, and had been wanting to check them out. There are few things other than pizza I can get delivered to my house, and this place has many other items, like burgers and fish, on their menu in addition to pizza. My husband and I finally did end up getting carry out from the location on Washtenaw, and it was pretty good. I wouldn't bother eating in at any of the Mr. Pizza locations. This one and the other one I've peeked into have a couple of tables, but they are mainly meant to be carry-out and delivery places. We got a tomato and spinach pizza with butter cheese crust. It was a little greasy, but that's what you get with a butter cheese crust. The toppings were generous, and the hand-tossed crust was good if not remarkable. They also offer a variation on cheesy bread that I really enjoyed, their feta bread. It's not just garlic bread topped with feta- they also put layers of sliced tomato on it before covering it in feta. I thought $7 and change for a medium feta bread was expensive until I saw the size of it- it's like getting another medium pizza for $7. They serve it with marinara or ranch dipping sauce. I thought it was odd that their feta comes in shreds instead of in chunks, but it tasted good, so I'm not complaining. Prices were average- a little cheaper than Cottage Inn but more expensive than other chain pizza places. However, they did have a coupon system I really liked. Instead of offering you a deal on some combo of pizza, pop and salad or pizza and breadsticks, you could take a flat dollar amount off your meal if it came out to a certain amount. The coupons were $2 off a $10 order, $3 of a $15 order and so on. read more

Very hit or miss. The consistency of the quality of items is strong, but I get nervous to try new things from here because, while some of the menu is awesome, other items are not. Whatever you do, do not order the rueben sub. This is my favorite kind of sandwich, so it's an understatement to say I was disappointed. There was literally one slice of corned beef, that's it. Also stay away from the burritos. They are basically only rice. Chicken sandwiches are good. Breadsticks are awesome. Pizza is ok. All in all, they could do better, a lot better. Taste of the pizza is a 5, getting your order right 2.5. I don't understand why, however for 4 orders in a row. Different days. And the fourth time I took a hiatus away from the place.
