cheese slice fresh out of the oven
    Brent B.

I love me some NY Pizza Depot and I usually stick with a cheese slice and order on a regular basis. Yes, I've been to Joes but I feel that the flavor of the cheese is better and the price is better as well. The place is inviting and the staff is friendly but parking can be a challenge. if you're looking for a decent slice in A2 for a good price, give them a try!

Mediocre. $30 plus for four slices of mediocre pizza, a coke, and a piece of cake. The pizza was excessively greasy and tasted as if it had been sitting around for too long. The cake was delicious. Maybe would have been better fresher. Overall , it served its purpose- a quick bite to eat before heading home after a comedy show.

Been a customer since '96. Back for a game weekend and reliving good memories, but it was short lived. I had an unpleasant encounter with one of the employees here, an older man with close-cut hair. When I went to pick up my food, he questioned whether I had ordered two slices. I told him I only had one in my hand, and my roommate clarified that the second slice was mine. Despite this, the employee refused to hand me my slice unless I admitted to ordering two. Auto D-bag alert and it got worse. When I asked him not to make things difficult and just give me my food, he escalated the situation by telling me to "step into the kitchen if I wanted a fight." He also made a racist remark, asking me, "Why can't I speak English clearly?" The cashier at the register, who was also Asian, immediately apologized for his words--which makes me think this behavior is not unusual for him. Based on how openly he acted, I suspect he might even be the owner. Either way, this kind of treatment is unacceptable and makes me feel this establishment needs to hide this dude in a dark closet or off the floor completely

Wow I made a mistake! I only had their pizza to go and never dined in. What a world of difference! The pizza was fresh out of the oven, the crust was crispy. I loved the buffalo pizza roll with a crispy bottom. The service was great. The place is huge with chill vibes on the Sunday we went. It feels just like New York!

$2 pizza slice Tuesdays at NYPD might just be the best deal in town! The deal runs all day until 10pm and it's valid on all slices except for the deep dish. They usually have a pretty big selection to choose from but going through the line can be stressful as often times they'll be rotating through options so quickly that they might have a whole different variety when you get to the front. The line stays pretty consistent throughout the day but I've come to find that the best time is either right when they open or during late afternoon. They have a good amount of seating both inside and out. The people working are always really nice with a funny, almost NYC style attitude. It really feels like a taste (no pun intended) of home. The pizza isn't the absolute best I've ever had and Joe's is undoubtedly better in the area, but it checks a box and again, $2 slices simply cannot be beat especially considering Joe's is like $4 for a simple cheese. My favorite slices are the barbecue chicken and the pesto chicken, but again they have a ton of options. Will absolutely be back!

NYPD is our go-to pizza spot in A2. The dine in area is large enough for groups- and it's decorated like we are in NYC. We order up a freshly made pie on the spot, it is served up delicious & cooked to perfection. My favorite is the white sauce pizza, while my son opts for the yummy Chi town pizza. My man loves the pepperoni roll. We can't wait for our next slice!

Working at the hospital night shift, NYPD stays open and delivers late which is nice for us night shifters! Usually get pizza or a calzone when we order. Food is average. But the cheese bread and ranch are really good!! My big complaint is that they always put multiple calzones into one box, which makes it hard to store when you order out with multiple coworkers. I have been inside NYPD and it's a small pizza shop but cute. Perfect for drunken college students late at night to come in after the bars and get pizza by the slice!

New York Pizza Depot was one of the only places open late after an evening of enjoying some local watering holes, so I tried to order through their website while in town over the summer. It was not working at all, so I ended up ordering through Uber Eats to have it delivered to our hotel. The delivery time came and went so I called the restaurant and was told it would be there shortly. Nate and I hung out in the lobby so I was able to grab it from the delivery person as soon as they arrived. We ordered a 12" supreme pizza, with pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms, peppers, and ham. It was not the most visually appealing pizza and seemed like it was missing a lot of sauce - plus the sausage was sliced smoked sausage, which was a little weird, and most of the peppers and onions were basically raw. Fortunately we were pretty hungry and the pizza was decent for late night, after the bar food. I don't think I'd try ordering again late on a Friday night, but I might stop in for a slice at lunch.

Pretty average quality/taste but good for that late night quick bite. They offer a variety of specialty flavors, different style pizzas (classic, Chicago style, Detroit style) and other menu items. You can order whole pies or order by the slice. We tried the White Pizza and Mixed Mushroom Pizza.

This place is awesome. When in Ann Arbor go try this place. We always stop here when in town . This is my favorite New York Style Pizza place. Value (A+) $11.50 for two big slices and an order of garlic knots. It's so good and well worth it. Not too expensive Service (A) Excellent for a campus town. They quickly reheat the slices you want and call out your order. If the slices are not ready they are super friendly and let you know how long. Remember it's a campus pizza place. Quality (A+) The slices are sooo good here. My favorite NY pizza place. They usually have a number of slices ready to go and a great selection. They have perfected the art of campus town pizza slices. The pizza is a greasy unhealthy indulgence at its finest. Now I remember why I weighed so much when living in Ann Arbor. If your in town or a local go and try this place. You won't be disappointed.

The crust is thin and crispy and the toppings are fresh. Not sure what NY style is supposed to taste like though.

My girlfriend doesn't even like pizza. She LOVED Joes. The interior feels like they took the NY location and turned it to a warm break spot for those freezing their a** off and wanted something hot, homemade and FRESH out of the oven. Celebrities like Dua Lipa, 50 Cent, Bradley Cooper, Leonardo DiCaprio, Etc. EVERYONE LOVES JOES. Question is, and the most important of them all; does Dave like Joe? I don't know we had beef in kindergarten, let's see if I've finally stiffened up to him. I'm happy to say, a plain cheese pizza with basil does the trick beautifully. Delicious, foldable even though it doesn't flop. The sauce is easy to digest and so is the crust; I ate 5 huge slices and didn't feel a thing, it's so light and sweet. But it's crunchy! I got well done so I knew there wouldn't be any flop jalop. Perfection. Cheese was outstanding, crust showed the beauty in simplicity, the sauce was quite good but still a little too bland. I really wish the sauce POPPED. Another negative factor about this place is that it is DIRTY. Dirty to the honest cashier- Dirty to the floor. But it's okay, I know that the pizza comes out of a 500 degree oven. Any bacteria that might be on my pizza get burned and killed. Such a BEAUTIFUL pie. Loved it. (4/5)

After looking at different caterers, we chose Pizza Replicator to cater the party of 85. We were having trouble working with the venue to allow the caterer to find a place to cook the pizzas. Once he transitioned to pizza, the pizzas were continuously replaced until everyone had eaten. Everyone raved about the food. In New York, slices are for folding and eating while on the go, because... well... I guess that's what capitalism does to you. Pizza Replicator is replicating none of these pizzas. Nope. It's just a Star Trek TNG inspired pizza concept where Max Sussman gets to have a little bit of fun with seasonal ingredients, dough, and some portable pizza ovens. Personally, I love to support pizza innovation. Max's pizza is about as good as it can be considering it's cooked up in the back of a coffee shop on any given Sunday. More than anything, I want Max to get a permanent home here in A2 with a legit Neapolitan oven where he can really get some better color on the bottoms of those pies. I've had a few of these so far. Italian sausage with pepperoncini, provolone, and broccoli rabe. Brussels and guanciale with aged gouda, fresh mozzarella, and garlic. Soujouk and Za'atar with onion and green zhug. Asparagus and gruyere with meyer lemon, caramelized onion, and pine nuts. Spanish Chorizo, manchego, roasted peppers. My favorite one to date was the meyer lemon. Dang, that was deliciously unexpected! But those crispy nuggets of guanciale were dynamite too! Ultimately, these are designed to be take out pies, and I'm just not a take out pizza kinda guy. Because I believe pizza is best when it's fresh hot now, I grab my pie, b-line to my parked car, and eat the pizza in the driver's seat like a savage beast. Even when I have shown up early for my scheduled pizza pick up, I have had little luck in getting super hot pies with crisp edges and well colored bottoms. Recently I learned that one can request the pizza "well done" and I am looking forward to giving that a try. But I love the culinary creativity and I am happy to keep trying Max's new pies when my Sunday schedule lines up with available pizza slots. One has to keep an eye on the Pizza Replicator Instagram page and move quickly, because these things sell out. I have gotten over my FOMO, and am happy to simply sample these pizzas when the stars align. Which, you know, is why I'm comfortable to share this with the Yelp Community. Max's efforts are hardly a secret as they were just recently covered in the food press. But yet there is no listing on Yelp?
