Buyer beware. I was a loyal customer for five years. I used their services for opening and closing as well as chemicals. I paid a premium (there isn't many competitors in the region) but felt a value even if a new service rep visited virtually every time. But I am a dissatisfied and disgruntled customer after getting a shocking bill for pool closing - - - almost 100% higher than previous years. The only way to work with them, if you choose, is to get a clear quote ahead of time and BUY YOUR OWN CHEMICALS. read more

While I continue to use Mr. Pool for opening and closing, I do wish they were able to improve a couple of things. The biggest wish is that they scheduled better and gave courtesy calls. For opening they stood me up 3 times for one visit without a call. I get that legitimately bad weather conditions can come up but when you've scheduled way ahead, called to confirm the week before, taken the day off work, waited around all day, have to call a couple of times to see what's going on and why they didn't show up, and then it happens two more times, this feels very upsetting. My second wish is that they were clearer about pricing and services. There's no detail on their website to tell you what's included in opening and closing. The bill was a bit higher than what they estimated on the phone and not itemized so it's hard to know what staff time and chemicals you're being charged for. Opening was a bit more expensive than closing which is a little confusing because no blow out time and they didn't add any chemicals. This year during opening a very clearly inexperienced service tech failed to remove all of the winterizing foam backer rod and my skimmer spent a week trying to suck it down. So I do feel it's important to pay careful attention as the pool owner to be sure the right things are happening. However their more senior service techs are helpful in discussing pool operations, they were well-equipped for the job, and my pool was opened and closed, so I guess they've worked out OK. read more

I can honestly say we gave this company many, many chances to preform with professionalism and quality service. They failed time after time. I have never seen a company so poorly run and with a lack of any organizational structure or communication. Time after time, communication broke down between the multiple departments which affected our service and cost us money and more importantly our time to fix. This company demonstrated major management issues, which lead to a constant change in reps that would come out to our home. With a pool and hot tub, you have little things that are specific to your own setup. These had to be revisited with each new rep that came out to ensure mistakes were not made and they were, continually. I'm finally at my wits end with this company and would highly recommend you beware if you choose to use them. read more

We gave all our specs to Mr. Pool over the phone for a broken pump, including spa make/model/year. They were certain they had the pump so we scheduled a time for them to come out and replace the broken pump. After taking off work, and waiting over a week for the service call, they came out looked at the spa for 5 mins and said the pump they had wouldn't work and we would have to purchase one from the manufacturer. We had the spa all opened for the tech so try to save installation time, but this didn't matter because the pump they had wouldn't work. We were charged $85 for 5 min and were never told that if they were not able to fix the pump we would still be charged for an hour. Because of this we ordered the pump from the manufacturer and had another company do the install. We understand some service calls are not free, but to assure us that the pump they had would work, and then still charge us an enormous fee when they couldn't do the job is unprofessional and bad business. Just be aware of this when using them for spa services. read more

We had the crew at Mr. Pool build us a custom spa (or hot tub, whatever you want to call it) last year and they did a bang up job. Finished spa came out to 100% of what we spec'd out originally and the crew was great about keeping us in the loop during construction. We've had them out doing the maintenance ever since the install and they also do a great job keeping it tip-top shape. These guys are definitely professionals. read more

We had a circulation pump in the hot tub break in the middle of freezing cold weather. Our former (I say "former" because I won't be using them anymore) hot tub repair company (IHT Denver) said they couldn't come for week even though it was determined to be an emergency type situation. I had never used Mr Pool but contacted them. They spent time on the phone with me and then, despite being busy and booked, sent some over right away to analyze and fix the problem. The repair person (Mike) was very friendly and knowledgeable. I am very appreciative of the quick response and customer service. Mr Pool will now be my go to hot tub service company. read more

I hope my experience was an anomaly. I never got a chance to have them come to my house. I set an appointment to look at my inside, in-ground hot tub that I believe needed a new pump. My window for the appointment was "Friday afternoon". I took the afternoon off from work which cost me several hundred dollars in vacation time. Got a call at 5:15 saying he couldn't come out - no advanced notice of being delayed. He set a new time for 10 days later putting me first on the day (9:00) so I would not waste more vacation time waiting for the service call. On the rescheduled day he was a no-show. I called at 9:30 and was told the service man was on another job - no explanation, no apologies. I told the staff person that I would not do business with them and would find someone else. Hopefully you will have a better experience than I did. read more

My wife and i researched what kind of hot tub to purchase and found our local Maxx sap dealer in Boulder. there pricing was competitive and was all inclusive of everthing i needed down to large supply of chemicals needed. they even inclueded things i would not have thought of. They special ordered the color we wanted, got it on time and delived and set up the tub. when i had questions they just came over at no charge to make sure i was happy. i now stop by there with a water sample now and again and they always take time to educate me on what i need to know without ever trying to sell something more to me. we would highly recommend Mr Pool. read more

We needed service on our in-door pool and our hot tub and Mr Pool responded very quickly and provided exactly what we needed. I especially like the fact they successfully diagnosed and intermittent problem with the hot tub, and after installing the part, followed through on their promise to check it again in a couple of days to make sure their work was correct.
