Hi Everyone, Do not trust the Owner Mr.Jennings or his company "One Point Services" ! He will not take responsibility for his team what so ever ! nor will his "hatchet man" Gerald who tried to sweep this under the rug ! Do not ever let Mr. Re Key in your home EVER if you value your items or dear pets !! One of their locksmiths named Jeremiah (they wont tell me his last name) came into my occupied unit against company policy. He went thru my personal belongings and stole my 8 year old house cat Mow Mow. His supervisor who I thought cared at the time named Russell told me 3 completely different stories about that day and he even told me he doesn't believe his locksmith has given an honest version of that days events. Once I made a police report about it (only because they would not have the young man take a polygraph) even when I offered to pay for it to get to the truth about my best friend who was born under my daughters bed July 23rd 2009. It is Mr. Re Key's policy when something goes missing to do so !! They will circle the "wagons", ignore your please for help no matter how much you plead and beg them for it. I begged Mr. Jennings for help in an email and he never had the decency to reply to me., He had Gerald call and insult me and give me the long goodbye. My cat meant the world to me and he's lost forever because of their negligence, deceit and disregard to do the right thing for me. Mike and Ernie came over to our rental home to put new locks on a bunch of our doors. I was extremely impressed with how professional, thorough, & considerate they were. Honestly, I cannot believe how awesome it was to work with them. The house we live in is a much older home and we have only lived here for 2 weeks. During that time we have had plumbers, electricians, landscapers, general maintenance men, and the Mr. Rekey locksmith company. Mike and Ernie with Mr. Rekey were by faaarrrrrrrrr the easiest to work with and the most professional. I cannot express that enough. I have been really frustrated with some of the other companies we have had to deal with, but not this one. More than their friendly service and the excellent work they did, what we received was a sense of security in our home. I didn't even realize how vulnerable our house was to possible intruders until I talked to Mike. Now I feel so much better in our home. That is invaluable. I had Mike and Ernie rekey a rental home that I own to meet the landlord requirements for rental properties. Excellent communication between Mr. Rekey and me. I called on Oct 18th to set up an appointment with the dispatcher for the 19th. He had Ernie call me to set a specific time. I was able to get a 10:00 for the 19th. Ernie called me the morning of our appointment at 9:30 to confirm our 10:00. At 10:00, he was stuck in traffic and was running a little behind. He called me to inform me that he would be a little late. That is something a lot of companies neglect to do, and I appreciated it. He and Mike arrived about 10:20 and got right to work. I had 3 keyless deadbolts installed and a total re-key done on the existing 5 entry deadbolts/entry knobs. Also, they added a peep-hole on the back door. Whole job was completed in less than an hour plus they vacumed up all the wood chips that were generated. They also checked windows for security latches and checked the smoke alarms (I had just put new ones in). Total cost was quite reasonable: total parts and labor was $229. I don't have enough great things to say about Mr. Rekey! They were hired by the property management company that is leasing our new place. They called within the hour to set up an appointment for the same day we started our lease. The day before our technician, Ernie, called to confirm and let us know what to expect. He was prompt and went through the whole place to readjust carbon monoxide/smoke detectors to code, added a keyless deadbolt and ensured the locks were aligned properly, added a pin lock to the sliding back door, all while being incredibly friendly and informative. After he was done he walked us through everything he did and explained how it worked. Our rental property hired and set up Mr Rekey to come rekey our locks. Little did I know they would also test our smoke alarms, install carbon monoxide detectors, set the garage door code and even make our door more secure with deadbolts and fixing the locks so the door closed more smoothly. Our professional, Ernie, was a sincere pleasure to have around to do the work. It was like having my dad around fixing up the place. From our brief conversations you can tell he cares about what he does saying he just wants everyone to feel safe in their homes. He even explained why he did what he did, walked us around and made sure everything worked like it should. It took a while for everything to be completed (maybe 4 hours) but it was a big job (3 bed 2 bath) so that is understandable. Ernie and Mike showed up on time, as promised and proceeded to knock out a major rekey for our rental home. We had one working key for 16 locks and when they were done we had 1 key that worked for every door. Most of the doors had to be pulled into place to lock properly prior to their visit and without my asking Ernie made sure all doors/locks were aligned properly and the locks turned without being forced. He was meticulous on the job and reviewed the work with me so I was aware or could request adjustments. To my surprise we also got peep holes and up to code tenant locks without leftover mess from the job. Without knowing they were there, I wouldn't have been able to tell anyone drilled into the doors/frames because everything was left so tidy. Fantastic customer service from Bill who came out to re-key our new home. Bill was so courteous and thorough with the work. We needed service on 5 different doors, some which had multiple locks. It turns out some of them were troublesome/tricky locks, but he was still able to take care of them. He also saw that we were curious about the inner workings (we use locks every day but take for granted how the mechanisms actually work) and so talked with us about how they are put together, the tools he used, and about the re-keying process in general as he worked on all the locks. We are very geeky, so this was very enjoyable to learn something new from someone who was very talented and passionate about his work. Mr Rekey was recommended to me by my Realtor. He uses them all the time and highly recommended them. I am a first time landlord and he said they are very knowledgeable on laws and codes for locks and safety features such as smoke detectors. Mike and Ernie showed up and were very professional. Mr. ReKey has done a wonderful job with helping me get situated in my house. He spent considerable time making sure things are the way they should be. This is a rental house, so the move-in condition was iffy. Mr. ReKey made sure the smoke detectors were installed correctly and working. He added 4 new ones and a needed carbon monoxide detector. He changed the door locks coming the garage from one tumbler lock to a deadbolt. Put in a peekhole to the door to the attached garage, because it is technically an exterior door and needs one. He swapped door handles and locks around so they were more appropriate for their use. Most importantly he listened to what I said. He is personable and cares about the tenants moving in. He subcontracts to the rental agency for this house, and he seems to care a lot about the tenants and their safety. read more

Just relocated to Austin and Mr. Rekey (that's Ernie), was contracted to rekey the rental house I moved into. Ernie called me 4-5 days prior to the scheduled day that was communicated by the property management to confirm someone would be available onsite and ask some questions about the house. He sounded like one of the nicest guys imaginable and we spoke more like friends than contractor/client. He showed up on time with his equally friendly coworker (Mrs. Rekey), and went about his business. New deadbolts and a peephole were added to the inside garage door, a matched key for the shed and even new smoke alarms replacing those that were outdated or non-functional. Ernie called half-hour in advance of his coming and showed up exactly on time. Explained everything he was going to do and ask if there was anything else we needed done. He checked all of our smoke alarm systems and the Carbon Monoxide systems. Rekeyed 5 locks and installed 3 keyless deadbolts to convert our residence into a code-compliant rental property. Not only did he do well with his job, he cleaned up after himself. I mean, there was nothing for us to clean after which we have always had to do with our previous locksmiths. So, I'm a do-it-myself kind of guy. When we moved out of our house and decided to rent it, due to time constraints, my wife convinced me to hire a locksmith to rekey and get the property to code with a keyless deadbolt. Man, am I glad she did. At the recommendation of my realtor, I called Mr Rekey. The woman who answered the phone was pleasant and quickly and accurately got my appointment scheduled. I had a 2 hr time window. Mike R. called 1 hr into the window to let me know he was on his way. He arrived, was professional, nice to talk to, and did his job quickly and with high quality. Excellent service and incredibly professional. I missed my exit to Walmart to get keys made and found Mr Rekey was close by. When I walked up to their office I noticed the front door has an impressive security lock and a doorbell. After ringing I was promptly answered and courteously assisted by Andrew and Kim. I was guided to a couch in the air conditioned front office while my keys were made in the back. It was quiet and comfortable waiting. They were quick and obviously equipped to handle much bigger tasks but treated me like a valued customer despite my very small re-keying needs. We had a break-in a couple of streets over and I wanted deadbolts installed on all our exterior doors. I made the appointment online on Friday night and was promptly returned a phone call to schedule it. Service was completed the following Monday. Did I mention that Ernie called/texted me on Saturday evening to confirm the work order and the type of hardware I had. Our landlord told us that she would have the house rekeyed after we moved in. 3 days after we moved in, Jackie from Mr. ReKey called to schedule the rekey. Got it scheduled, then at the last minute had to reschedule, but wasn't a problem. Ernie called when he was on his way over and explained everything he was going to do. Yesterday we had our new home rekeyed by Mike Revers and his assistant from Mr. Rekey. The whole process from start to finish was so easy! I called to schedule my appointment, and they were able to see me the next day and gave me a 4 hour window. I was so pleasantly surprised when they called within the first half hour of the window to tell me they would be there within 15 minutes! Mike was so professional, and quickly changed the locks on our four doors ( even having to deal with the fact that our back doorknob was on backwards!) He then checked our smoke detectors, and went out of his way to fix a loose door latch in our hallway! I was so impressed with his service. He went above and beyond! I own a real estate sales and property management firm. We have been using Mr. Rekey for at least 10 years now. They have always done a great job for us and continue to exceed our expectations. They have timely service and when they arrive on a job site and make sure the work they are doing is what we need. For instance, yesterday Mike and Ernie were at a house for us in Round Rock and they noticed the order said to add a specific type of lock but they recognized that what was on the order would not meet the minimum standard for a rental property so called us to make sure we did not want to change the work order. The service provided by this company is impeccable! Matthew was the one who helped me out. He knew the Texas housing code like the back of his hand so much so that he was able to identify something that had to be installed within the apartment that had nothing to do with the lock (2nd carbon monoxide alarm on the 2nd floor) and he installed it after coordinating it with my apartment manager. All in an hour. He installed my Schlage Smart Sense lock and another lock that would adhere again to the Texas tax code. He didn't give up on the job even if it meant being a plastic sculptor for another hour (the door frame was of some type of hard plastic). Amazing and thorough job for cheap!
