Requested service: Cut and program a blank key that I (customer) provided for a 2013 Honda Civic. Service: Daniel with Urgent Lock and Key was courteous, friendly, and had excellent communication. The requested service was made at 10:50AM and on the service was completed on the same day. Daniel informed me about a rough estimated time and then called me with a more approximate time as well as an ETA once he was on his way. Keying, programming, testing, and re-testing all completed in under 35 minutes. I had called two other businesses with great reviews and recommendations (Yelp, Google, Reddit). Used Yelp RAQ to inquire about availability and pricing to fix a door knob that was proving to be a real SOB with each jiggling of its bits. AKG was the first to respond and the cheapest of the two to respond ($95 to fix vs the other guy that was $40 just to come out and another $60-$120 to fix it. A guy from Urgent Lock & Key was dispatched (the day before Xmas Eve, by the way) within an hourish of my call, between 4-5pm. He was very polite (left his shoes outside without even asking first if he should) and got to work pronto. It took him about 20 minutes and showed me his craftsmanship and where the other doohikkies were bent out of shape. He only charged me $75, which was a bonus. I seldom write reviews on Yelp, but my experience with Urgent Lock & Guy prompted me to write one. Tarik went above and beyond when my lock broke and I couldn't open my front door. The lock mechanism is solid brass and 30+ years old, so of course, no parts were available. Tarik found the replacement parts on eBay, ordered them and fixed the lock, without charging me for the parts. He was courteous, professional and determined to solve my problem. Both key FOB covers for my wife's Lexus broke (the plastic gets old and gives out). When the second one broke, I ordered replacement covers that come with an integrated blank key for $10 each from CarAndTruckRemotes.com. I moved the internals from the broken cases to the new cases, but the key itself is integral to the cover, so I needed the new keys cut (no programming needed). I requested a quote from ULK, via Yelp, to have two Lexus keys cut. I received a response from Chris very quickly and liked his quote. I called to make an appointment, scheduled it for 2 hours later. Chris showed up right on time, cut the two car keys in about 15 minutes, we tested them, they worked, I paid him via credit card, he left!
