Our kitchen sink backed up behind the wall so I "ran Yelp" to find some professional help after my DIY skills fell short. After calling a few of the 5 star rated plumbers, who didn't have availability for a few days, I got to Mr. Rooter. They scheduled an appointment for one hour later. To be clear, the price was a bit higher than what some of the others quoted on the phone, but "now" was worth paying for. Gavin arrived just after text message with his picture came to my phone. He proceeded to try to "snake out" the clog from the inside. After this didn't work, he went outside and tried clearing from two different clean outs on the side of the house. He discovered that the second clean out went to the kitchen sink. After about 90 minutes of grinding away from the various angles, the clog was cleared. Where to start...Working with Mr R of Frisco was an awesome experience from start to finish. Within minutes of submitting a request for service and pricing, I was contacted. We setup a time and they arrived on time and presented a very professional approach. They listened to what I was trying to accomplish and instead of trying to steer me in different directions, they just answered my questions which I really appreciated. I evaluate proposals for a living, so i have an odd way of gathering data to make a decision....and honest, simple answers are the key. Their pricing was very competitive, but most important for me, they are locally owned Frisco business and they live in Frisco. This is always my first choice. I joke that working with people I am likely to run into at the grocery store, gives me a better feeling. We worked through terms and pricing...it was very simple and straight forward . Nothing confusing. No shell game. We scheduled the service. Again, on time and ready to work. The work (new hot water heater) was done very quickly and professionally. They were working just outside my home office and hardly noticed them. Because this is a family business I got to talk to a couple of different people and everyone was awesome to work with, and the very reason I try and work with local companies. Make sure to get an estimate and quote before using this company. They will quote $59 to come out, then charge $219 for 5 minutes of work. It is borderline customer abuse. Will never use this firm again. read more

Nathan came to house to take a look at a leak I had. Didn't talk about price until the end and then told me they bill over 200 an hour but would only charge me 169. I reluctantly paid although I thought it would be a service call charge and then get a quote. At the end he wasn't sure exactly where the leak was coming from. After thinking about it I called to tell them I didn't think the pricing was reasonable. Nathan called me back and was very defensive. He then proceeded to tell me "I'm not sweating 169 and I will just refund you, obviously you are sweating it". I didn't get the refund and instead got a call back from Pete, his father and they defended their position. They offered me 20 as a refund but I did not accept. Their website clearly says you will know the price before hand and this was not the case. Really frustrating and I dont recommend this company. read more

They get a star for clearing the drain and honoring their price. But, $500 to clear the kitchen sink drain (from the kitchen sink, not like climbing the roof) and install a garbage disposal that I had already purchased from Lowe's? (I thought I was helping by purchasing the disposal?!) That's definitely expensive if you aren't familiar. Then the bad list begins... Put their dirty tools on the counter. Didn't have any floor protection so used our dog towels. Still left drain gunk on the floor for us to clean up. Didn't install the garbage disposal on the correct outlet so that it was switched (called them back to fix that.). Just grabbed our paper towels off the counter to clean the hands (and knowing where those hands have been, we threw the roll away.). $500 and this is the service we get? Never again. If you are wondering about the disparity of reviews (5-star to 1-star) I now definitely believe the lower-star reviews that specifically list their prices. It's outrageous. And, for the record, I contacted the company before posting these reviews. The lady answering the phones was super nice, but the absolutely stand by their pricing. IMHO, once they get on the site and know you have a problem that needs immediate attention, they consider you sold and quote whatever price they want. Run, don't walk, to a company that will talk pricing over the phone before they roll a truck to your house. These guys will not, and once they arrive, they have got you. read more

We experienced an issue where the water line coming from the city main into our home sprung a leak. Called Mr Rooter of Frisco, received prompt and professional attention. The problem was quickly identified, and remedied. The task included some digging, replacement of pipe and parts, which included soldering/welding of pipes and new parts/connectors. I HIGHLY recommend this family owned business for your plumbing needs. Prompt, courteous, professional, timely service, at a reasonable price. Let me start my five star review knowing I had a costly repair which is always hard to swallow. They walked me through it piece by piece and helped me understand along the way. Contacted Mr Rooter for service to the water heater they installed about a year ago. I bought the Membership for an extended warranty but when contacted they never responded. The membership expired Dec 31, 2021. I contacted them anyway even though the membership already expired. This time they responded and made appointment to check out my water heater. They gave me an 10 am to 2 pm window. They never showed up. read more

Sebastian made a call to my house on Sunday afternoon after we had issues with our AC line draining. He was very helpful, but our problem requires a second pair of hands so he called Nathan. Both guys were very nice and really worked hard to get the problem resolved. I felt bad that it was such a stubborn fix but they never seemed bothered by it, not once. Even though it was so hot in our attic and the majority of time was spent up there. In the end they did clear the line from the small amount of build up inside of it. It turns out that it was an AC issue, not a plumbing issue, but that wasn't their fault and they did what they said they would do. I would call them again for any plumbing needs. read more

ON TIME, quick & knowledgable! Was given a time window of 2-3 pm and he showed up around 2:20. Nathan came out to fix a toilet that has been getting clogged over and over. He finally got whatever was lodged cleared and we are so thankful. Wish we had done this sooner! I told them EXACTLY what was wrong, they didn't fix the issue, they wasted my time, left a mess, and still charged me $150. I ended up fixing the clogged pump myself -- the reppacement part cost me $30 and took 10 minutes to install. My advice -- find a handy neighbor or check Nextdoor instead of hiring these fools. They didn't clean up the sitting water and they wasted an entire roll of my paper towels without asking. I might update my review when they give me a refund, an apology, and a new roll of paper towels. read more

Quick response and an awesome job done. I have a family of 7 in my house and when the toilets don't flush and the sinks don't drain it becomes an emergency. They came out on a Sunday and it became evident the problem was more than a simple clogged line. They came back out first thing in the morning and got to work. After working most of the day digging up the main line, removing all the roots (and there was a lot) and repairing the line, we can once again flush the toilets and drain the sinks.
