Have been wanting to check out this place for a while and I finally made my way there on a Sunday…read moreafternoon. They didn't have much left for sale after the Saturday Fisherman's Market. The staff was helpful and told me they'll have new catches available on Friday. I went back Friday after work and there was a lot more items to choose from. The sea urchin was calling out to me so I had to buy two trays since one is never enough. I was hoping to get some cerviche too but it wouldn't be ready for another half hour. I also got the ahi tuna, coho salmon and California halibut. Everything was very fresh and delicious! This is definitely a great spot to get fresh seafood, especially if you don't want to wait until the Saturday market.

Wild Local source their fishes from local fisherman in the area and allow you to watch them cut into pieces. They have all kinds: large shrimps, lobster, crabs, tuna, halibut, cods and many more. Tonight, I bought a pound and a half of Bluefin Tuna and cut into shashimi sized pieces, it's gloriously tasty and not fishy. The guy even gave me a lemon for my shashimi, what a neighborhood market. So, if you wanted to done on fresh seafood, come to the real fresh fish source and enjoy true seafood NOT frozen from thousands of miles away.

Super happy that we have a seafood city in the 805. I have been on the late train of checking this…read morespot out but finally made it in today for a grocery run. I'd been doing Instacart orders from them but first time physically inside this weekend to check them out. The inside was super super clean. Major points there! In the time I was shopping around they had plenty of staff working, floors being mopped and all of the aisles were well organized and pretty. This market is a pretty standard Asian goods focused grocery store. I found about 85% of what I wanted here. I wish they had a premium sushi section and some more Hawaiian imported goods (aside from juices and sauces) but otherwise I was able to find everything I was looking for. Their hot bar is also solid. A wide selection of items to pick and I felt the pricing was reasonable. Actually throughout the whole store the prices are good compared to other grocery stores right now. I had a full bag of items for $50, good luck elsewhere getting those kinds of prices. I didn't have too much of an interaction with the staff while there, but again, lots of people working and keeping this spot in tip top shape. Also the woman working the register who checked me out was very nice. A great supermarket and I'll definitely be back more often now since checking them out.

We decided to stop in on a Sunday morning and check it out before heading back to San Diego…read more Plenty of parking on the street or in the lot. The market had many more booths than I was expecting after reading the write up. They had a mix of food items for sale from fruits and veggies to desserts, to fish to drinks but they also had jewelry, clothes, toys, cremes and balms and other assorted items. Their fruits and veggies were impressive. It was so vibrant, colorful, fragrant. Enjoy my photos of the berries to see what I mean. I did buy a bakery item from the booth that had a lot of items, but no one in line, no wait versus the other booth that had a good amount of items but about 15 people in line. I should have known. My coffee cake item had saran wrap but it had a hole in it, and it was very stale. I am assuming that the hole led to it being stale and not that it was an old item not freshly made that day. It was very disappointing. If you are in the area, stop in and check it out.

Whats neat about this farmers market is that it's actually local! Most of the goods are from Oxnard and not a random town thats hours away like other markets. The artisans are all pretty friendly and happy that you're there. I really enjoyed the vibe and how pleasant everyone was. Plenty of parking and a lot of vendors accept different payment methods. I recommend coming here and getting a snack if you are going on any of the local boat tours to the islands.
