RUN! 1. They damaged my sliding glass door during repair and refuse to return to fix it. Lady on phone is very rude and accusatory that it is either somehow my fault or I am making it up. 2. The guy came out and was very pushy. He gave a price to start the job. While it was high, I agreed as I just wanted to get it done. However, during the job, he claimed to find bigger things wrong with the door. He said the rollers were stuck. On his website and in multiple reviews, he seems to always find bad rollers. Hmmmm... The door was off the track and he threatened to immediately leave without putting it back on if I did not agree to his revised, higher price. Reluctantly, after bargaining what I could, he replaced my rollers, put it back on. It is now very hard to slide. He said it would get easier but it did not. The guy that came out is a total scam and the lady on the phone (likely his wife) is accusatory and nasty. She eventually hung up on me. I had an appt today in Fontana with Ben he showed up at my 11am I greeted him at my front door and proceed to the backyard to get measurements for my sliding patio door. After looking at it and chastising us about 10 times for using WD40 they quoted her $1,200 to replace the rollers and shave the door down a bit. She not knowing to ask for itemized details agreed to the price. When I found out and saw they were only at our home for 1 hour doing the work I told them they were ripping her off and I wanted an itemized list of what the $1,200 is for and asked what their hourly labor rate is. I called the dispatch/appointment number, and spoke to a female, she contacted the tech who called me back and said that he was running an hour late. I agreed to wait for him at 2pm. 2pm rolled around and still no technician or a curtesy call. Once again, I called to a voice mail. I then contacted the tech who told me that his car broke down and that the office should have called me to reschedule. We needed to replace 3 sliding door screens, have 3 other sliding door screens replaced due to holes that were taped up, and to replace the screen door on our front door. When they came out initially they took one measurement per door to confirm its width and gave me a handwritten receipt showing what the job would cost me, and the amount of the deposit. It did not provide any further information breaking down the work each item entailed and the cost per item. This should have been my first red flag. On this visit they did work on the 3 screens we were not replacing, however, they only thing that was done was to check and replace the rollers, the screen itself was not touched, even though I had said I wanted it done with pet screen. I could not get an explanation as to the why they were charging $325 PER SCREEN for less than an hours work and just replacing some rollers. After much discussion, they did agree to come back out and rescreen the 3 doors with pet screen at no additional cost. When they came out to rescreen the 3 doors and with the new screen doors for the sliding doors, only 1 of the 3 actually fit and closed correctly. It took 2 more times out to get the last one to close almost correctly. All I can say about the screen door for our front door is, do not expect a custom made screen that will fit your opening. Our house is about 70 years old and has done some settling. It took them 4 additional trips after the first one to figure out how to make it fit after adding furring strips to cover the gaps, and drilling numerous different holes in the door frame. We will need to bring in a finish carpenter to repair the damage they did to the finish work on the door frame. If it is very basic work, they would be fine, but if you need screens to fit doors or windows where there has been settling, do not use them they DO NOT do customized work where you are ensured they will do quality work. I would have been money ahead doing everything myself and using Home Depot or Lowes. read more

Daniel is a scam artist. He tries to take advantage of 70 year old ladies. My mother needed a screen door and track replaced. He quoted her $1000 to "fix" a 25 year old screen or $1250 for a new screen door. Not a sliding glass door a screen door. When she wasn't sure he kept pressuring her with "I can get this done, we are professionals." Even after she said no he kept pushing for them to "fix" the screen and that $1000 was a "good" price OK Luckily she called me. I replaced the screen and track for $150 and it took all of 10 minutes to do. I said, "How much of that is labor? (Knowing it's about a 1 hour job). He said $200. So I said, "$650 for parts?" He said."Stainless steel wheels are very expensive." I said I could buy them myself for $20!" He said,'No! You need a license to buy the stainless!" (Complete Bullshit, you can buy a set on Amazon for $15). Then he tried to say he could do it for $425. That's when I got pissed. Basically, these a-holes come in with a huge price, hoping you won't know better and just pay it. I said, "I don't like your business model. Just go!" Don't believe these guys! Get a second quote, or do research from manufacturer before paying. We had Mr Sliding Door come out for a quote to fix a broken latch on our sliding door and possibly make it slide smoother. We also had a damaged screen door for the slider that we were considering a repair or replacement for. Pros: They were VERY FAST on call back from the online request form, and got someone to come out within a few days to look at it and give us a quote. Cons: The quotes were VERY HIGH and included false information. They told us the parts were not from CA or even the USA. They would need to get the parts from New Zealand. The cost to fix the latch was $650, and to install new rollers to slide better $450. ($1,100 total!) Also, a new screen door would be $600 (but later requoted at "about $300" after I told him I called a screen company that said it should be less than $300.) After telling him I thought we may have paperwork from the manufacturer with some sort of warrantee, he told us we probably couldn't get anything for that because they were installed just prior to us buying the house. He encouraged us to pay the $450 immediately to install new rollers, and would come back to install the latch when the parts came in. (The latch was stuck in the closed position so we couldn't even close the door so cold air could come in and in was not secure.) He did not offer to fix that in any way. They didn't even pull the latch assembly out to see what the problem was. I said the quote was too high for me to pull the trigger without doing research with the manufacturer (Milgard). Once they left I disassembled the latch so we could close the door and found it was just a broken lever. We contacted Milgard directly and they sent us the latch and new rollers FREE of charge in less than a week. (Saving us the $1100 Quote Mr Sliding Door gave us!). If you have an issue with a sliding door, I would recommend trying to find who the manufacturer is FIRST and seeing what kind of support they can give you. If you call Mr Slider, I HIGHLY recommend getting a second quote from another company. read more

I've been having difficulties with it for quite a while now, but I only recently realize that there are people that specialized in fixing them. When they arrived, they checked the door and after giving me an estimate, they started to fix the door.
