I was in town for a business trip and the weather and waves looked great. I hoped to rent a longboard and wetsuit (January) to spend a couple hours in the surf. Robin helped me out with finding a board, but the wetsuit they had in my size for a rental was worn out. Instead of sending me out the door with a subpar product, Robin picked a brand new wetsuit off the shelf AND made me a deal. The session was much warmer thanks to everybody at Mr. Surf, and the Christian environment was very apparent and welcoming. It is rare these days to find a business more concerned about the customer instead of their own interests, and Mr. Surf's is a shop I wish more would emulate. Thank you, Robin! read more

The owners love Jesus and have a passion for HIM to be made famous, but not the churchy way ...... they desire to see Jesus known by their love for humanity and their heart for the community and all in it ..... both native and visitors. Daddy and Mommy Surf have remained a constant for this area through one of the most disastrous hurricanes I ever seen ...... Michael! They have poured themselves and their resources into this devastated town. I am not sure of the condition of Panama City beach for this tourist season ..... but am asking if you plan to travel to the beaches of the emerald coast this season please carve out time to stop in and spend time (and money) with these amazing folks! Mr. Surf himself gave my friends and I a private and completely free morning of surf lessons on the last day of our trip and his friendliness and helpfulness in terms of both his event and advice on where to eat and what to do was the highlight of our trip. My kids attended Mr. Surf's surf camp this morning. They had a blast! The event was very well organized and the staff was great. The Gulf was a bit rough this morning but I felt very comfortable regard my son and daughter's safety. With a family of 5, we wanted to rent a couple of kayaks and paddleboards for several days without breaking the bank. When I called, I apparently spoke with the owner of the shop and he was very helpful. When we arrived to get them, we were shown the very best customer service. John was very helpful to us and extremely nice. He set us up with the kayaks and paddleboards that met our needs. The prices can not be beat. We signed up for the membership for a month, even though we wouldn't need it for more than a week. It was more sensible cost wise to do this, since they are half price rentals if you have the membership. Definitely worth it if you are renting multiple pieces. We ended up renting them for 4 total days and had an absolute blast. Adventured to camp Helen, Powell lake, the bay, and grayton beach state park lagoon and the gulf. Upon returning them, the staff again was extremely nice. Shaking our hands saying see you next time! Absolutely will be back to rent from them!! Thanks, Mr Surfs Shop! read more

Relatively small, off the beaten path, yet close-by, real surf shop (not the traditional huge and junky touristy beach store that carries items carried by 500 other stores in the area). We are not surfers, but they have a great/large selection of boards. We loved that they are more of specialty shop, carrying items that are more unique including t-shirts and souvenirs and the prices were competitive too. read more

"Get on board for the Lord!" Our family has watched this ministry grow over the past several years. We always look forward to Mr. Surf's tent arrival on the beach each year. They bring such a positive influence to Panama City Beach! He and has staff are phenomenal. He said he would have everyone in the camp catching waves in 30 minutes...and he was spot on! He even gave each of the surfers their very own surfing nickname. Our daughter "Killer Karsyn" got to experience her first surf lesson this year. And she spent the next 3 hours catching wave after wave. They even challenged her to try some pretty impressive "tricks". PCB is our home away from home, and Mr. Surf's Surf Camp will become a valued part of that tradition. This was one of our most memorable experiences at the beach. Our only dilemma now: Karsyn can't decide if she wants to be a professional swimmer or a professional surfer. Dream Big! read more

Had a wonderful experience over at Mr. Surfs! The owner(s) are very nice down to earth people! I was in Florida with my now Ex GF. While we were there, the employees were every helpful! One day, we were attempting to paddle board at St. Andrew's State Park and a woman came over to help us. Eventually she asked where we rented the boards from, and we told her Mr. Surf's Surf Shop. To make the long story short, she ended up being an owner of the shop! Another time, my ex couldn't reach her parents to come pick us up. So we started to make the walk back to the camp site in the rain. Right as we were walking out of the parking lot, we heard a familiar voice say "Get in the truck.." I turned around to see Pappa Surf! We loaded the surfboards in the bed of the truck and he then drove us back to our campsite AND took the boards back for us! I will be sure to use Mr. Surf's Surf Shop the next time I go to PCB! The rates are descent and the employees are just friendly and helpful. Mamma and Pappa Surf, we love your business! read more

Nice, friendly, Christian owner. Everyone was very helpful renting a surf board & showed my kids how to ride. They even carried it out to the car. We were staying next to one of their surfing camps.
