A couple friends and I were very hungry around 11pm on a weekday night when we came to check out this wonderful Mexican food truck that offers a large variety of authentic Mexican street food classics. Located right off the Palmetto exit for 8th street in a parking lot, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had a few tables for us to sit at while we sampled their menu. The woman didn't speak much English though she was very attentive and kind, grateful that my boyfriend could order for us in Spanish. We ordered a variety of things off their menu and shared amongst five people. We ordered the: - Flautas - Torta de Barbacoa - Tacos: lingua, carne asada, chicharron - Chimichanga Mixta My favorites were the flautas, torta and chimichanga. The tacos did not impress me since they were lacking a little bit on flavor; this food truck actually has better burrito options which sets them apart from most. The torta was huge and jam packed with delicious meat! The chimichanga was crisped perfectly which was so tasty drenched in their cheese. Cheap and delicious. A real food truck. That is how I would describe this place. I was really in the mood for a food truck after an outing with the hubby and not being able to eat the whole night :( We were going to search for our usual kendall spots when we decided to switch it up. I searched food trucks to find this gem on my yelp map. I had read some reviews on Mister Taco and saw that some had posted it resembled Homestead Mexican food. I had been dying to try Homestead Mexican but hadn't gotten around to heading that far south. I hope Mister taco is like homestead Mexican because it was DELICIOUS!!! The food was reasonably priced. We paid $12 for two entrees and a taco. Not bad. I got the chicken tostada which was EXACTLY how I wanted it. The actual tostada was super crispy but not burnt. So delicious....also it wasn't soggy from all its toppings. I got it with chicken (you have options of what type of meat you want). My hubby got a chicken burrito that came with some chips with cheese and tomatos. Also delicious and worth it. I got a chorizo taco but then regretted it because it caused me some nasty heart burn. This place has some very authentic Mexican tacos, but you have to ask for them like that: Mexican Tacos. If not, they will give you a taco that has lettuce, tomato and guacamole, also known as "con todo" (everything on it). They used to be just the Mexican type, with onion only, but everyone who came would ask "what happened to the lettuce?", and would also ask for cheese and sour cream. True story. Tacos are excellent here, also the burritos and the nachos. Sometimes they have pozole and caldo de tripa. They also have tostadas and flautas, tortas, they pretty much have everything that is not complicated. One more thing, this is not a gourmet truck. I found this food truck through yelp and I'm happy I did. The lady that takes your order is very nice and helpful. I ordered small nachos with chorizo and the guaracho with carne asada. I had a fresh tamarindo juice. Everything was phenomenal. The nachos were definitely fresh and not greasy. The guaracho was delicious and big. I put the mild hot sauce on everything. The tamarindo juice was probably one of the best I've heard, not too sour or sweet. Will definitely return. read more

This is my favorite taco place in Miami hands down. The only downside is that their truck doesn't get started in my closest location until 8pm :'( which is understandable bc they have their main establishment elsewhere. I really wanted to love this spot as I'm always in search of the best tacos. Their menu is varied and they can accommodate vegetarians, which I loved since I don't eat meat. The staff was so nice and the prices were pretty low. My boyfriend and I ordered nachos, tacos, and a burrito. When we got home and began to eat our food, we realized everything was bland. My food didn't have much flavor. My boyfriend didn't even eat half of his food. He said the meat tasted old, which shocked me. Just ate here like 10 minutes ago. It was my first time eating authentic Mexican food. We ordered a Carne Asada Burrito and a Chicken Quesadilla. I am a very picky eater and to be honest I was a little hesitant to eat from a food truck but oh my god was this the best Burrito and Quesadilla we have ever ate. It was so flavorful and not greasy at all. We felt satisfied full after our meal not the sluggish kind that you would get from a greasy meal. Everything was so fresh!! The guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, and nachos you can tell were homemade. Absolutely Delicious!!! Wish I can turn back time and replay. Also the lady that takes the orders was very nice and since it was our first time eating there she was very kind in explaining the contents of our choices for us. We found this taco truck on an unsuspecting corner on SW 8th stand 72nd ave. We were delighted to find out that this family owned and operated establishment cooks up AUTHENTIC Mexican cuisine everyday from 8pm-12am. We were greeted by one of the owners who was more than happy to explain their offerings from the picture menu located on the side of the truck. He was very patient while we contemplated which delicious item we were going to choose. We finally decided on the Mini Mexican nachos that were slathered in meat cheese and guac. We obviously had to try the tacos which we ordered campechano style which consists of beef, chorizo, and chicharron. We also ordered their specialty Guaracho, which is a combination of your choice of meat, cheese, guac, refried beans, cilantro, and onions piled on top of a thick homemade flour tortilla. We also had a gordita which is similar to the afore mentioned but with another tortilla on top. We washed these down with Mexican Jarrito Sodas. Overall great experience and great food. We will definitely be coming back to satisfy our taco cravings! read more

I have been going there at least twice a month during more than 3 years. At the beginning they were a small truck now they have tables, and a interior place. The food is delicious and the service is pretty good. There was one time that it was raining while I was eating inside and even with that situacion the waitress keep taking orders and moving them under the rain. Now they took orders over the phone. Okay so I went to one of their food trucks that's on 36th Street . I wasn't impressed the tacos were not that good they were missing salt , they forgot everything they said the tacos come with. I don't know I was expecting really good tacos, it ruin my appetite. read more

Been here a few times and the lady that takes your order is always so nice and attentive. I got this time the tacos, they were great and my boyfriend got the Chimichanga with loaded fries on the side. The tacos had a lot of meat, guacamole and pico salad. The fries were my favorite thing because they put cheddar melted cheese on top with guacamole and some white cheese- they just go so perfect together. The chimichanga was drenched in cheese and that's a plus plus for us! Love this food truck and I will be back! read more
