Polish Sausage {ask for well done} and fries with gravy {partially eaten} are always delicious! Best truck anywhere!
    James K.

Love this truck! Great fries with gravy! Polish Sausage and fries w gravy only $4.50! This wont be your kind of place if you have the kind of unsophisticated palate that rates fries exclusively on "crispy-ness" and/or you think Costco has good fries / poutine. These fries are made of, and taste like: potato! Weird, I know! Not frozen processed McCain garbage coated with a weird shellac coating to make them artificially crispy. These fries are also... wait for it... browned! {Hears millenials gasp in horror!}. Yes, their fries with gravy are the best, nicely browned, flavourful, a little greasy, and SO tasty. Nor much else to say, just GO!! You can thank me later.

This "chip truck" * was the 3rd stop on the Yelp French Fry Crawl - Part I. The 1st stop was Jamie Kennedy Wine Bar. The 2nd stop was Beer Bistro. That's some big fry shoes to fill. Luckily, Mr. Tasty Fries has huge feet. (And you know what THAT means.) The fries are the long, thin variety but thick enough so the crisp exterior yields to the hot tater creaminess that lies within. They're sprinkled with some kind of orange crack seasoning that makes them impossible to stop shoving into your maw. Small = $2.50 Medium = $3.00 Large = $4.00 We sampled the goods from the other trucks on the block and they should just throw in the towel and call themselves, "Mr. Non-Tasty Fries I" and "Mr. Non-Tasty Fries II". Their spuds were bland, fat, globules of potato mush. ** Oh, and I'm still waiting for my colonic coupon. _____________ * Why do people call it a "chip truck" when it's serving up skinny fries and it's called "Mr. Tasty FRIES?" I thought chips were those thick-cut potatoes you get in fish 'n chips. ** We ended up giving them to the "broke & hungry" panhandlers that hang out in Nathan Philips Square. Hey, beggars can't be choosers.

There isn't really a "Canadian cuisine", not like French cuisine or Italian cuisine....so I think poutine is the closest thing we've got (the American spell check on this website doesn't even recognize it as a word, that's how Canadian it is). For the visitors (non-Canadians), poutine is thick cut fries topped with cheese curds (they MUST be curds, any other cheese type is unacceptable) and covered in dark brown gravy that is so salty, it will have you waking up at 3 AM feeling like you've spent 46 hours without a single drop of liquid in your mouth. But oh how it is worth it. The poutine at this particular truck is the best. Which, as Connie mentioned already, is located near Nathan Phillips Square....so you can skate around the rink at NPS and then go grab so poutine claiming that "you've earned it".

Amazing poutine. There is always a line up. Curds are nice and squeaky, gravy is thick but not congealy. Fries are crisp outside and soft inside with nice potato skins on em. Lots if ppl get the hotdog fries combo so it must be tasty. Personally I don't want to waste calories on the hot dog when the poutine is so phenom-nom.

Very appropriate name!!! Nice person working. DELICIOUS poutine fries! Great price! What else can you ask for!

The famous 'blue truck' - city hall would not be the same without it.

The poutine was definitely not the best poutine I ever had and definitely not the worse. But the ranking of this poutine definitely came pretty close down at the bottom of my ranking. The fries were very tasty. Fried to perfection and it had a nice crispy to it. The cheese was the disappointment. They didn't use cheese curd. On top, the gravy was nothing special. On top, the poutine was somewhat cold. The jerk chicken was interesting. I thought I ordered Jamican food but it turned out something different. I was not sure if this was supposed to be a Korean dish or Jamican. Anyways, the dish itself was somewhat cold when I got it. The jerk chicken was somewhat dry. Strange was that it was served with kimchi, corn and some green drizzled on top was spicy mayo sauce. So I felt like it had a bit of Japanese, Jamican and a bit of Korean. I don't think the flavor went well together. They were somewhat skimpy on the jerk chicken. I was told by a colleague that their fusion tacos (instead of tortilla, they used roti) are really good. Maybe next time I try this food truck, I will get that instead. Anyways, I do not recommend getting the Jerk chicken here.

That's amazing; I love meeting hard working and ambitious individuals like this! During the Mississauga Waterfront Festival, I had the pleasure of meeting Leo and the team after being extremely intrigued by the name 'ribbon fries' - I was NOT disappointed. They are like the tornado potato fries (which they also offer) but they are not on a stick, and on a plate, they look simply delicious. Seriously, we had the plate on our table for less than a minute before a passerby demanded to know what it was and went to order it right away. I bit into it, expecting it to taste like regular ol' chippy things, but to my delight, these were the freshest potatoes EVER! They were also perfectly salted. Omnomnom. The truck is a bit plain and could definitely use better marketing to sell these amazing fries and poutines. I think they're thinking of revamping it to draw in da crowdz - he also recently got a new TV that broadcasts pics of the food offered! Steppin' up the game! Definitely hit this truck up if you happen to spot it at a festival!

The husband and wife team manning the truck were so adorable and so friendly, I felt like I was family! The food offerings here were not your over the top stereotypical food truck eats, instead they focused on doing classic menu items (hamburgers, sausages, hot dogs, fries, poutine, etc) I was only looking for a snack and when I walked up so when I asked for their personal recommendations they suggested that I go with their poutine. The portion of poutine was massive and the cheese curds were perfectly mixed throughout (which is actually an accomplishment since so many places just top their fries with cheese). The best was the gravy; hot, thick (without lump) and a great salty flavour! IT's hard to know where I'll bump into these guys again but I'm interested to try their other offerings next time I see them Eatcrest Out

The water stations provided by the event host had a long line and not wanting to wait I decided to purchase a few water bottles for my friends and I because we were all very dehydrated. I went to this food truck because it had the shortest line. And of course there was a reason why. When it came to my turn to order, I asked for 3 bottles of water. The employee was very rude and said "you want water you have to buy food. No food, no water" I asked why can't I just buy the bottle waters and he said "Water is for customers only, if you're not ordering, leave" But if I'm buying water at $5.50 does that not make me a customer? I'm still spending money at the business and paying $5.50 for 1 bottle of water!! Being desperate, I order 2 tacos for $12.42, and asked for 3 waters. Again, the employee so rudely said "Only 1 bottle, if you want more you have to order more tacos" .. I was in disbelief. I paid $17.92 for 2 crappy and dried, barely any sauce chicken tacos.. all for 1 bottle of water. Had the food tasted better, maybe I wouldn't be as upset. But chewing the chicken was like rubbing sand against my mouth. I am telling this story not because I want to damage the business by any means, I like supporting small businesses when I can, but when a business is not honest, ethical or morally right I feel like I should speak up. Needless to say, I will not support this business and do not recommend anyone to support such an inhumane and unethical business. I have attached photos of how they responded to my Facebook review. As you can see it doesn't really make sense that they only had 2 cases of water. This was simply just a money grab opportunity.
