Needed an emergency tire repair, which ended up needing an entire tire replacement. They close at 7, I had an appointment for 6:30. I explained my situation and got there around 5:45. Customer service was okay, and everyone was friendly, but one of the service advisors was clearly new and lacked experience. When I asked questions about the diagnosis of my truck, he didn't seem confident in his answers, which didn't inspire much trust. My biggest issue was that they attempted to upsell repairs that turned out to be unnecessary. I was told I needed a full ignition coil replacement for around $1,000 because they couldn't determine which cylinder was misfiring. That explanation didn't make much sense to me, so I got a second opinion from another shop. They quickly identified the specific misfiring cylinder and confirmed that replacing all of the ignition coils wasn't necessary. Based on my experience, I'd recommend being cautious and getting a second opinion before approving expensive repairs here. I scheduled a 7:30 a.m. appointment for a tire rotation and to fix a slow leak, expecting to wait while the work was done. Once they saw the service was covered under my tire contract--which includes lifetime rotations, balancing, and repairs--they told me I'd have to leave the car and they'd get to it "when they could." Despite multiple calls for updates, my car wasn't ready until nearly seven hours later. The worst part: the slow leak wasn't repaired. The nail was still in the tire; they had simply moved the tire from the rear to the front. This was an extremely disappointing experience, and I won't be purchasing tires or using their repair services again. P.S. No canned response from Mr. Tire is necessary. read more

Terrible experience! Be wary! First the initial quote was $600 to $700 for spark plugs and coils then it was $1,500 and another supposed problem took it up to $4,100???? Car runs great! A light came on so we took it in. Initially said it might be done "later tonight" then it was the following day? Now they needed yet another day? So the car would have been there two overnights!!!! First let me say that if I could I would give a NO STAR rating. As it is not an option I have to give at least 1 Star for this to be posted. I had a check engine light come on and took my vehicle to Mr. Tire and they diagnosed a faulty sensor, they said they replaced the sensor and I pick my vehicle up the next day after paying $864 to diagnose and fix the problem. I drove the vehicle one day and the check engine light came on again. Took it back and again they diagnosed the same faulty sensor and replaced it again. I pick up the vehicle once again and the check engine light came on after a day of driving, and once again took the vehicle in and they replaced the same faulty sensor. After the third replacement I drove the truck one day and check engine light came on again! Three tries and three failures either they were ignorant in regard to the proper replacement of the sensor or the recommended procedure on its replacement. This screams incompetence. When I took it back the forth time they said they recommend I take it to a dealer. So I am out $864 with the same check engine light still on. If they did not have the expertise to replace this sensor they should have said so and made the recommendation to take it to a dealer on my first visit. My recommendation to any costumers is DO NOT take your vehicle to this shop for any engine work. They simply are incompetent. In addition the manager, Heather, never returned my calls and was not professional in discussions concerning possible problems. If it were my organization she would not be the person I would choose to address my customers as she is short with customers and lacks any degree of professionalism. We were visiting in the area in rental car when a low tire warning light came on, but did not tell us which tire. Heather at Mr Tire checked all four tires and got them properly inflated and even replace some missing valve caps. All for no charge. Great service with a smile. SCARY AND UNSAFE PLACE - I visited this shop in August 2025 to have a tire balanced. I was told the job was done, but I returned an hour later because the tire was wobbling. Ed at the front desk yelled at us, got uncomfortably close to my husband's face, and refused to properly address the issue. Heather, the manager, sided with her staff instead of helping. They don't respect customers and have zero customer service. Driving back and forth on a busy highway with a wobbling tire was extremely stressful, and this negligence could have caused a serious accident. The next day, another shop confirmed Mr. Tire had not balanced the tire at all--they lied. Unsafe and unprofessional. I do not recommend this place EVER. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to after my experience at Mr. Tire this past Saturday. I came in on a very busy day and decided to stay and wait for my service to be completed. Despite the full waiting room and the constant flow of customers, my vehicle was ready within three hours--a remarkable turnaround given the circumstances. As I waited, I noticed how challenging the day was for the employees. Several customers came in visibly frustrated, and unfortunately, some took that frustration out on the staff. However, one employee in particular stood out to me: Curtis. His professionalism, patience, and calm demeanor never wavered, no matter how difficult or tense the interactions became. He treated every customer with respect and maintained a level of service that I found incredibly admirable. This location left a strong impression on me. I call and they were able to get us in however on our road trip the car shook violently at 60 mps.when we arrived in Connecticut I contacted a tire service center and found out all 4 were so out of balance they were amazed the car didn't shake apart. I ordered two trailer tires from Mr. Tire. The tires arrived. I told the service advisor that I would bring in the two wheels on leu of the entire trailer and they just needed to change them out. They told me I didn't need an appointment and just show up and they'll take care of me. Almost 2 hours later I got out of there. A week later one tire is flat. Again they said just bring it and we'll take care of it. I was going to wait but they said it would be around 2-3 hours until they could get to it. They found out it was a defective valve stem. Add another 2 hours they finally got to fix it. Seriously... I waited 5 hours for a 15 minute job. I guarantee it won't happen again. Very poor customer service especially the second time as it was a 15 minute job and they made me wait almost 5 hours. Never again. read more

Last Feb I took my car back for them to fix the cross threaded bolt which they did on the prior oil change. After waiting for 4hours they gave me back my car and gave me 1/2 price on the oil change. They also noted on my ticket that I may need the oil pan replace next time I come back. Couple days ago I took my car out to another shop to have oil change, the technician does not want to change my oil because the re-thread was terrible wrong. Look at the picture! I called Corporate customer service, the lady took the information regarding this issue and told me someone will call me back. No one call. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Because it's a BMW it's not a good idea to replace just one tire so they said I needed all four tires. Even then I had no problem with that, called me later that day and said they have the tires bring it in, when I brought the car back to replace the tires they took the keys and a $500 deposit but the car wasn't serviced when I called later that afternoon I was told they were too busy to get to my car and they will get to it tomorrow. 2 days to replace tires at the earliest is not acceptable. This is my second time trying Mr Tire and it will clearly be my last. read more

So very disappointed in all the work I've received. Carrot oil change, and on the way home I had to pull the car over because it was saying to do so immediately. I checked the oil and there was nothing in it. There was no good explanation. Just took it up for a bulb replacement on the low beam that cost me about 200 bucks. Also I needed a tire checked because it kept reading low air. I just figured out that they put in a new valve stem on the wrong tire so the tire that actually needed repair never got fixed. This place will give you the biggest run around then lie to your face. I asked for them to do my brakes with my tire replacement, they claimed they couldn't do my brakes and one of them was missing a caliper pin dust cover and I needed it urgently replaced but their reasoning was "its an aftermarket brake setup" I know for dam sure its not because I done checked plenty of times and it still baffles me how they think oem's are aftermarket setups. sounds to me they just got lazy, what gives me more of that reason is when I came in to pick it up all the techs we're trying to leave a few hours early. not to mention they had one tech working on 4 different vehicles at the same time? Now do you think they really take their time with the services provided? Originally I wanted to put my wides on my truck but it needed spacers they said and that was okay and understandable but can you at least put them back in my truck bed correctly!!!????. I almost had all of them fly out on the highway if I didn't check them myself before I left. But please to anyone who reads this, don't take any vehicle of yours here whatsoever. CAN I PUT ZERO STARS ??? I make an appt for installation of 4 new tires. I drop my car off this morning at 9am as scheduled. At 1pm I call for an update. They put me on hold for ever, and I was at work, so I hung up. They called back 5 minutes later and inform me that they are short a tire and only have 3 to install. I said why wasnt I told this when I dropped my car off ? He has no explanation and said he didnt order the tires so he didnt know. He said they ordered another tire and it should be to their store around 2pm. I get a call at 2:30 and said " they slapped on the other tire" So professional and comforting to know. They said the front end was out of alignment and did I want that service. Again, I told them when I dropped it off that I wanted a front end alignment ! Wait another hour and at 3:30 my car is finally complete. 6 1/2 hours and $950 dollar bill for 4 tires and a front end alignment. This should have been a hour or so job. Instead I lost a full day of use of my car. I go to the front desk, tell them I there to pick up my car, and provide my last name. The girl at the counter says....That will be $954. I said....can I see the invoice of the work completed on my car before I pay $954. She looks at me confused and says....We dont do that. You get a receipt after you pay. I said with all the mess you caused me today, I am not paying for anything until I review the invoice. She prints out the invoice and hands it to me, I review it, and then pay my bill. She then prints another invoice showing I paid, and says this is what you would normally get. She completely doesnt understand what reviewing an invoice BEFORE payment means. I then go to my car and the brand new tires and my chrome wheels are filthy. They never wiped down the tires or wheels to remove the greasy dirt mess they made. Dropped our car off to get 4 new tires. We picked up the car just before closing so didn't get a chance to inspect the tires. The next morning, we looked and found that they had installed 1 wrong tire, it didn't match the other three. While they did make the fix within an hour, there was no apology, or explanation. I don't know what happened to my review but it was there a few days ago. If I have to add to it I certainly can as long as you post my entire review. I saw the spare tire just sitting in the back of my car and asked why it wasn't stored appropriately. The employee said,"the piece we need to store the tire is missing so you might want to check with AAA guy". The tire was blocking the area that I needed to check. I am 68 with severe rheumatoid and osteo- arthritis so I could not move or lift the tire. I had to ask a friend and when he checked the trash bag that they put the tire in the piece was right there. It's not easy to store the spare. It involves lying on the ground under the car. My friend is in his 70's and I felt bad. Then to top it all off my low air tire sensor never went off. I called them and they said bring it in. He checked the air in all of the tires and then said "I guess you need to come back to have a new sensor put in. "then he said "And they aren't cheap". Anyway with the rest of my complaint hopefully be finished. They reached out to me and gave me a phone number and said call this number and we will see where we have failed. I replied that I would only reach out via text or email so the conversation will be written to avoid any misunderstandings. I am waiting for a response. So that's the up to date report. I STUPIDLY put decorative aluminum tire valve caps on my Subaru. DONT DO THAT!! It prevents you from putting air in your tires when they won't come off!!! Mike and his team took almost two hours being very meticulous in painstaking removing the metal caps that had permanently affixed themselves. They prevented damage to my expensive sensors.. On 10-12024 I developed a bad miss on my 2013 Honda Odyssey. I replaced the spark plug on the #3 cylinder three times since I own the vehicle and was sure this was the problem. Mr. Tire did the computer diagnosis for $99.99 and confirmed the #3 spark plug needed to be replaced. However, they would not do just the one spark plug (they could get sued if the engine quit on me on the way home ???). They replaced the six spark plugs and charged me $52.20 labor for EACH PLUG ($468.30 total). At my local garage the repair would have been around $180.00. Mr. Tire changed the air filter ($41.26) and charged me $40.00 to install it. I had TWO charges for fuel system clean, $184.99 each. My local garage looked at the fuel line connections when I got home to Pennsylvania and the original blue lines were visible from the factory when the vehicle was made. Why did I have two charges for the same thing ??? As out of state travelers were were clearly taken advantage of. I guess honesty is not the best policy with your company. May 17th, 23; I dropped my car off to have a tire repaired at 9:45. They had no appointments left for the day but was told if I dropped it off they would have it completed by the end of day. It was ready to go by 1:30. Mike was very helpful and called me to let me know the condition of the other tires. This is helpful since I drive a lot and my top issue is safety and prevention of car issues. Since I live out of town and my regular place is a private shop it is nice to know that this chain does have honest and good service people. If you are looking to have your car's needs taken care of, you can trust Mike and Mr. Tire Auto Service Center in Lewes. I will be using them and recommending them in the future. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. My 83 year grandmother was charged 3 times for the same tire in the past 4 weeks. After purchasing new tires initially, she had a leak in one. She went back and they said she got a screw in it and it could not be plugged so they charged her for another new tire. Not long after it was leaking again. They never changed her tire after charging her for a new one. When she went back in they said she must have gotten a screw in the same exact spot on the same tire. They made her pay to change the tire again. I think it's shame full they take advantage of their elderly customers on a fixed income. I would recommend staying far away from this place. read more

Booked a 9am appointment to have a tire replaced. Arrived at 8:50 am along with 15 others having a 9am appt. I needed to wait for my car as opposed to dropping it off and coming back since I had no other ride and assumed it would be a fairly quick repair. The replacement tire had been ordered and was on site. It took 3 hours and 20 minutes for my tire to be changed. I had to go up to the counter numerous times to inquire what was going on. The first time was 1 1/2 hours after arriving which I thought was more than generous. My car had not been moved from when I parked it. They kept telling me I was due to be pulled into the bay shortly. Over 3 hours is nuts when you have an appointment for one tire change. When they finally did pull it into the bay it took literally 20 minutes which is perfectly reasonable. They offered no apologies. They were a hot mess behind the counter. Sniping at each other and very disorganized. Never again. Avoid this place if you value your time. read more

I had my car serviced in February, 2024 (new battery and rear brakes) and was overcharged for services. I was promised a $460 refund by the store manager and district manager, which never happened. After two months of tirelessly trying to get a refund, I had to provide a quote from another car repair center and was told they would price-match the difference. It took multiple phone calls on my part before any action was taken by them. I was finally refunded $309 (two months later). Every time I called customer service I was told that my request had to be approved by another manager. It was the most frustrating experience I've had and will never bring my car back to Mr. Tire for servicing. When you call their customer service number, they have an actual line dedicated to "refund status" so what does that tell you? Obviously refunding customers for wrong charges is a practice that they regularly engage in. Do not go there unless you want to be overcharged for services and then given the runaround by their management and customer service. The worst ever!!! read more
