i had low tire pressure and just knew I was going to need a new tire because the same tire had been patched in December. Had nail in tire. Went to a large dealer on Saturday. Said come back Tuesday. Found B and E on line. Shot them an email on Saturday night. Just showed up Early Monday. Said about 30 minutes. It was about Ten minutes. Nail hadn't gone through tire. Was in and out quickly. Met another customer who is from Baltimore. Had slow leak. Had been to three places who couldn't find leak or said had nail and needed a tire. But there was no nail. B and E found small leak and fixed. Lesson is use the little guy. On 10/26/2016 I took my 2003 VW Passat 1.8T to this shop for the purpose of purchasing 4 new tires and a simple wheel alignment. Upon attempting to do the alignment, they were unable to determine how to make the proper front end adjustments. So they proceeded to flatten the threads on the adjustment rod by applying pliers to it and then choose to ignite the entire alignment adjustment system and parts with a blow torch. (photos are available) This action destroyed the rubber boot and bushings as well as possibly additional damage to other components as well. These front end parts had all been inspected and/or replaced 6 months prior to this encounter. When the car was returned to me with new tires but no alignment, no one even mentioned the extensive damage that was done to my vehicle and the fact that, in the state that they left it, the car was unsafe to drive. read more

I was so impressed with the honesty of this shop. Being from out of town and having a flat tire which needed replacement the owner ordered an exact tire for me and saved me the cost of two new tires. Did not try to sell me on more expensive ways to fix the problem. While at this shop, I ask the customers that were sitting in the waiting area if they had been here before and they all said yes and the shop has a honest and knowledgable owner who always took the time to explain exactly what was happening. One customer said he does all her mechanical work on her car. I wanted to write this review for people like me who get in trouble and need to know a good place to go. I took my car to get an alignment done. After the work, the car did the same thing prior to taking it to B & E. The man said it was my tires (3 days old). I didn't receive any type of computer read out for being an alignment, and he said they don't give them out, because people will try and fix them on their own. I went home and gave my Dad(Ken) the papers and let him know what they said. My Dad called and was asking questions.The man got very mad. He blamed it on the tires and that he doesn't make any money on alignment and that it is an insult to him to buy tires somewhere else and bring the car in for an alignment only. He said that he makes money off tires and parts, and that the tires are defected. My Dad then informed him that the car is still pulling to the right and that it did it prior to the new tires being put on. The man said its the tires again and that we should have gotten tires from them and they are the biggest selling tire company in the area. That we should not insult them by not buying tires from him,so he can make some money. The man then told my Dad to buy his own alignment machine, etc. Basically we are taking the car to our mechanic tomorrow(8/6/2013) and have it check out for free.(Excellent company Below Book Auto, Lewes, De.)they don't do alignments, but have Carl King tires, Lewes, De. do them. I don't understand not getting a computer read out ! It is done with a computer and any other company that does alignments, gives you a copy. I feel they have ripped me off and the company was rude and agressive towards my Dad. We are waiting for my credit card to post so we will file a "fraud dispute" with Capital One for the charge. read more
