Friendly people. After getting an oil change I had an oil leak 3 weeks later. Ben checked it out thoroughly and it was not an oil leak but coming from somewhere else. He combed the whole car looking for the source of the leak but it was coming from somewhere else. There was nothing more he could do and recommended going to the dealer. Was passing through Toledo to Pittsburgh and got a flat tire. Called Mr Tire with 20 minutes until closing time and the store manager had his crew wait for me so that they could help me get a new tire so I could continue my travels safely. The team at Mr Tire were more than accommodating and helpful. I am very appreciative of their concern and willingness to stay open and help me out in a time of need. Store manager (Ben Tamesis) went out of his way to help with a warranty issue on tires purchased from Sams Club who refused to do anything. Thank you! After years of getting ripped off by mechanics, I've decided to get out of this car that I'm putting new parts on every other month. As I was taking a car I really liked for a test drive I pulled into Mr Tire and asked them if they'd look at it. Right away they had it up on a lift and pointed out all the problems it had. I almost got stuck with a car that needed extensive repairs and I'd have payments on top of that. Thank you so much for looking out. I'm so tired of people telling me that if you get ripped off by a mechanic it's your fault for not knowing anything. To those morons, I wonder if they go to a lawyer for a root canal. I came home (nearby) to visit for the holidays and was offered an opportunity to grab new tires as a gift as well as try out a different tire company to see how good they are for future business ventures. My experience was sad to be honest. On the brink of 2022 the last thing on my mind was possible mistreatment of any kind for any reason but I will let you be the judge. We stopped in at Mr. Tire around 10:45am on the 28th of December. I was trying to leave town that day so we were looking to get the tires done that same day. Mr. Tire staff were given minor specs and had a chance to take a look at my tires via eye view and told us they had tires on the spot for my car. We found out after dropping the car off that they were 3 inches off for my rim size. The manager stated I had 19inch rims instead of the 16's they had in stock. He commented, "you have those fancy 19 inch rims we thought they were 16's." I smiled, briefly spoke with my family member and we asked for solutions as time had already been invested. The manager told us they could have the correct tires in stock for us by tomorrow sure thing as they were put on notice I was trying to get on the road. We agreed I would stay an extra day as the manager ensured us as soon as the tires came in we would receive a call and we could drop the car and they would get to work on it upon drop off. I agreed due to the managers confident tone and my own optimism. The next day things were a bit more confusing. I never received a call to say the tires were in. I called around 10:15am to see if the tires were in and the other manager, different from the one we dealt with the day before told me, "yes the tires are here you can bring the car in." I dropped my car off at approximately 10:45am on the 29th of December. I was told they would call once they finished. I called Mr. Tire around 3pm that same day as I hadn't heard anything from them by way of a status report. The manager told me they were about to drive my car into the bay as we were speaking and it should take no more than an hour and a half to complete the task. I pulled into Mr. Tire close to 5pm and my car was still in the parking lot where I left it that morning. In disbelief, I walked around my car to see if my tires had possibly been replaced and they parked my car back in the same spot just by coincidence. To my reality my old tires were still on the car and the car hadn't budged. I walked to the side of the shop to see if all the bays were full and they weren't. I was so confused. When I walked in the manager on duty was tending to a customer so I waited. Once he was finished I walked up and calmly asked him if he knew who the person was that told me my that my car would be done in an hour and a half (2 hours ago). The manager told me "give me a minute," he walked into the bay area for about five minutes and walked back after. I asked again, "I just need to know what the problem is, I was told the car would be done by now I dropped it off this morning." The manager on duty told me they were super busy and he was working with " a bunch a primadonnas today." He then stated they would pull the car back now and it would take about 30 minutes. I then sat down calmly and waited. Despite all that, I did the best I could to be positive and optimistic that this wasn't something more. Unfortunately once the next day arrived and the sun came up before we began our journey home (more than 300 miles away) I knew I had to check their work. I was too perplexed and tired the night before to check as this 30 minute job took more than 8 hours to complete after they had the tires at the shop to do the work all day. I understand busy, but this last statement is what forced my hand in writing this review. My fancy 19 inch rims now had all this sticky, white glue like material on them that I would have to later scrub off. One rim has a light shade mark on it that now comes and goes as I clean my rims (which are black) and I have 3 chip marks where my paint is off my rims that were not there before I got the work done to my tires. If my rims or disposition some how triggered these young men to grant me lesser service than anyone else who came into the shop that day I would only ask in the future that they think twice about their behavior as they may one day have to travel out of town as well and I doubt very much they would want the treatment I received. I could say more, but I've already said so much. If this is your best work, by all means learn to do better, if this isn't your best work, ask yourselves why were you so comfortable treating a customer this way? read more

This is a great place. My car had some engine issues which required it to be towed to an auto repair shop. Because I was in Avon, I asked around was given the recommendation to call and ask for Benjamin Tamesis. Had a flat tire and they were closest, big mistake! they found a nail in my tire and said they could not save it. I only plan on keeping the car another 4 months so I did not want to spend a lot. They put a new tire on. 3 days later the tire is flat. I called them and scheduled to meet at noon. After waiting in the lobby for 15 mins I finally walk down the small hall to the offices to find someone. They find a small puncture in the side wall. The tire didn't have 20 miles on it yet. They want to charge me to install another tire. I think it was punctured when they put it on and the manager wants to argue with me about it. Wish I would have read the reviews of the N. Ridgeville shop before I went. Would have saved money and hassle had I gone some where else. read more

Every time I come to this place I have terrible service. I am told that there is something wrong with my car and is going to be over $1000 to fix. After having my father fix control arms multiple times and coming in for a SCHEDULED wheel alignment at 9:30am to which I was 10 minutes early I am sitting here now at 1:33pm STILL WAITING FOR THIS STUPID WHEEL ALIGNMENT!!!! The manager or whoever he is keeps telling me they found something else they have to look at. Then other walkins come in with problems and are seen helped and out the door in under a half hour. This is ridiculous and I will never be coming back here again. Scam artists. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLES HERE!!!! read more

I have never had an experience at a car repair place where the manager was so laid back and out of touch with the customer. I was getting new pads and rotors on my VW and dropped my car off in the morning on a Saturday. When I dropped it off I was told it would be completed that day. I was told they would call me when it's ready and I told them my son would come pick up the car before they closed at 6. At 4:30, I called for an update and I was abruptly told that they would have to call me back. No big deal. Time goes by, no call back. I call again close to 6 and tell them I need to arrange for my son to pick up the car and ask if its ready. They tell me they don't know when its going to be ready? It's 6 Oclock now and you don't know. He keeps telling me he has to call me back. I tell them that it unacceptable since you close at 6 and my son is on his way. He does not tell me they are going to work late nor does he tell me the car won't be ready till Monday. At this point I am fuming at the lack of consideration and communication. I am being inconvenienced now and no answers. The manager was young and inexperienced and way too laid back to deliver bad news to customers. I would of understood if the situation was explained to me and I wasnt continually told they had to call me back. This after last week I had to take my sons car back there to get the bottom plastic sheath put back on after falling off while driving after getting an oil change. Avoid this shop. They never tightened the bolts on my caliper bracket after replacing brakes on my truck . I ended up having to fix it all on my own anyway and was lucky more damage didn't happen from it . Worst part is I Called manager and explained the error and nothing was done to make the wrong right . I would never take a vehicle to this shop. Totally unprofessional! Don't bother. Took both of our vehicles in for tire pressure lights coming on, both cars they found nothing wrong and charged over 80.00 to do nothing, tire pressure light came on next day, and so was my husbands. Took it to whites auto and there was a nail in the tire and needed to be replaced. What a disappointment. read more

Terrible service and lack of knowledge on how to fix a car, its almost dangerous. I visited this location because I live very close by to have my brakes looked at. I was told I needed pads and rotors . From the moment I picked up my vehicle , the brakes were squeaking and I was told they were ceramic and just give them time. I gave it a week and returned my car and they lubed soemthing and an adjustment was made. Still the car would squeak very loudly every time the brakes were applied. Honestly it was embarrassing driving around my neighborhood. I returned the car 3 times in a span of 3 months and now last night my car made a screeching clunking sound which I am guessing is the calipers. The staff and service manager , asked me to bring it in for a 4th visit. I work , that is why I paid to have everything new. My car is only 4 years old, and I never had an issue with it until I visited this place. I honestly think they do not know much if anything about cars and how to fix brakes. I would strongly discourage anyone from using this place even if you are saving a few bucks, it will cost you in the long run. read more
