I ordered tires from Tire Rack. An online tire vendor who partners throughout the country with various automotive repair shops to install the customer's tires. I choose Mr. Tire to perform the installation. I was notified by Tire Rack that my tires were delivered. So I called Mr. Tire to arrange the installation. To no avail, Rick at Mr. Tire would not allow me to make an appointment. He said they were too busy. This went on for two days while my tires sat in their shop. I had to find another shop and pay a higher install fee than what Mr. Tire was obligated to charge. This by far was the worst experience at Mr. Tire because the service advisor would not try to meet the customers needs. They have lost a long standing customer. I will take my money and business to an establishment that is willing to accommodate. read more

I had a vibration in my Mercedes and took it to Mr Tire because I had business at the Mall and could walk from the tire place while they worked on the car. They were very nice and seemed to be aware of my problem. We talked for a few minutes and they promised fast service. They were done within the time promised. It's too bad that the tech in the shop was not very good. After leaving, the vibration was worse than before bringing it in. I did not want to waste any more time taking it back, I lived with it until the regular service scheduled with the Mercedes shop. they said that the wheels were out of balance and corrected the problem. I've been going to this location for about four years now and I don't like to make negative comments about businesses. However the quality of service at this location was always hit or miss, but I have noticed that in the past couple of months quality of service seems to have gone down hill. I purchased tires there four years ago and I purchased the extended warranty, the last two times I went to have a tire repaired, they tried to charge me fifty plus dollars to repair a flat, before checking to see if they were covered, today they told me they had no record of my purchasing any tires at this store. After checking into my past services at this location, they relented and fixed the tire for free. This is more trouble than it is worth, having to remind them each time that the tires are covered by extended warranty. Information should be in there computer database. They also seem to do a pretty good job trying to upsell any job they do on your vehicle, After today I will be finding some other business in the area to take my car to and buy tires from. I have been going to Mr. Tire for years. Recently moved to Waldorf and this was the worst experience. Oil change was fine. I had a noise in the rear. They told me I needed 2 new calibers, new rear brakes, new rear rotors and 4 new tires. Would have been cool if I didn't just get new rear rotors, new tires and one new caliber in 2021. When I called them out on their BS they changed their tune and suggested I get 2 new rear calibers eventhough one was replaced. NOPE. Then said they couldn't replace just one caliber (LIE) . Didn't address the tires. All they had to do was look in their data base (claim they can't) and see I got tires in 9/21. KICK rocks. took my car somewhere else and got the work done. I would not recommend anyone go here. They need new management. read more

I called over the phone last feb 19 for change oil of my sister in law Acura MDX 2004 which is no problem and Ms Amanda is very courteous and friendly told me I can come anytime and when I went the there they did change oil with $10 off coupon but after quick change oil, technician broke the lock tires and need to replace the lug nuts, my husband was disappointed there is some scratch at the wheel tires so they give another discount and since it was broken they told me to buy a ordinary 4 lug nuts because the wheel lock set is more expensive than without. Supposed to be mr tire will be the one who will replace it because accident happened when they do free rotation. They i came back after 3 days they do change the lug nut I've been there at 1pm and finished at fast 6pm it's hard for the mechanic to take it out the wheel locked that was broken, then after that putting the lug nuts after a week we drive the Acura going to church we experienced me and my son at my side a vibration and I called up right away to mr tire and they said they will call me back but no one called. We went to Baltimore to drive our son for Robotics competition when we going back we experience to much vibration my husband is the one who drive So I call them back they told me to bring it back last feb 29 we don't usually use acura that car was well maintain problem when I bring it 1st for change oil, then they check and diagnose a lot so we don't have choice but we ask to do so and give us discount but still we pay another $594.53 but now check engine in dash board coming up??? I have visited this place many times, so I'll make this quick. The techs seem to be ok. Sometimes you will get a guy that looks as if he has bathed in motor oil but, over all they are great guys. Speed is horrible. I have only been to the shop for tires and patches but, I always have a two hour or more wait...for a patch. My resent visit was for just a patch...Cheap but, long on the wait. Thank God for the Mall and Target. The prices are average for a Tire shop. If you looking for a deal I suggest you do as I do...Buy online(TireRack). Monroe Mufflers aka Mr Tires greed for money out weight there respect for others people's properties. Not unless you want the hassle of having your car staying at there shop longer than expected, dont go here. Kevin will also lie about that under oath by saying that you wanted your vehicle to be there while you scrabble up funds to pay for it. Then when you get you car back it the car emblem broken. I didnt find that out until I had had to investigate a leak which turned out be a gas leak that of course they knew nothing about. Kevin the store manager blamed the fact that his mechanic who he claims has a bad back did not inform him of the damage to my vehicle but at the same time they believe these mechanic opinion on work that I and maybe others need to there my cars. They damage my car and got away with it now im stuck with a $1000 credit card bill and I still have to come out of my pocket to fix the issue they created and put electric tape on. All I can do now is hope this post helps the next person. They did there job with me hopefully nobody else get this treatment. Don't come here. Save yourself some time and money. I came in Friday for an oil change and for a brake inspection after hearing some metal grinding in the rear. I left the shop with an oil change and a dashboard full of lights and a transmission issue that wasn't there before I dropped it off for an OIL CHANGE. I called them immediately after I pulled off the lot to let them know and they told me I could bring it in on Saturday and they'd also fix the brakes/drum. I brought it in on Saturday morning and received a call at 2pm with them telling me that the parts wouldn't be in until 4pm and the mechanic would be leaving at 5pm so they wouldn't be able to fix the issue on that day (how is this my problem?). So I offered to bring it in on Sunday. Brought it in Sunday and after an hour and a half, they told me they ordered the wrong part. They were able to clear the multiple lights on my dashboard (brake, ABS, swerving, etc) but there remained the transmission light which they denied having any responsibility although it occurred while in their care. Monday is here and they called and told me that they couldn't find the part and wouldn't be able to fix the brakes/drum. It's a Nissan, not a Mercedes. I called another auto shop that fixed the brakes (not the drum bc it was fine and and Mr. Tire diagnosed incorrectly to make more money off of me) in the same day for less than half of what Mr. Tire charged. This is the worst place to take your car for any service. The front desk seems annoyed every time I come in. I have had brakes done, and had to come back 3 times because of a high pitch noise I heard every time I braked after I got them replaced. Each time I came in, the mechanics and even front desk person claimed they couldn't hear the noise. Finally the third time a younger mechanic heard it and they replaced the brakes again. I also came in for a state inspection which failed for tint. I came back in after getting the tint removed and had an appointment. The state inspector was "out for an emergency" but would be back in an hour later. After waiting for another hour and I asked if he showed up and they told me no and that he wouldn't be back until tomorrow. Now I'll be paying an extra $80 for a full inspection somewhere else. I had two appointments for routine servicing on my car. The first was to my mechanic that I have known for years and trust. They flushed the transmission & brake fluids and checked my brakes. They said I still have another 1-2K miles before my next oil change since I'm using synthetic. On the way home, I stopped my MR TIRE for my free tire rotation since I have their tires. They called me back to say I needed new brake pads, change of fluids and an oil change. They may have good deals on tires but they will hustle you for other work. BEWARE! read more

Rip Off! I called around and this place quoted me $200 more for front brakes and rotors. I knee jerked and bought 4 all weather good year tires here for $300 more than any other place in waldorf. Sadly I didn't do any research. Needless to say, I walked in 2 hrs before closing Friday evening before Christmas Day to see if they could repair a flat on one of the tires I purchased there. The big guy at the front counter said to me "I have no technicians available" after I walked in and asked him if they were still opened. I asked him "what does that mean? Your opened, but not offering services?" He said yup! That said, I called Tire Plus on Smallwood drive and spoke to the manager Brandon. He hooked me up! We moved from Massachusetts to North Carolina. My wife an daughter left a week ahead of me. On the drive down, the car began to shake. She stopped for the night in Waldorf. I called Mr Tire that night and told the man I had a tire warranty, and what was wrong. He said he would honor the warranty. She brought the car in at 9am. The mechanic on duty did not replace to two tires he found holes in. He was condescending to her and only patched the holes. He didn't test drive the car and told her there were new tires. She left, and the tires blew out about 100 miles away in Virginia. This almost caused a wreck and could have killed my pregnant wife and daughter. He knew all the circumstances of the trip. I called them when she told me what happened. The manager said his most senior mechanic, who is certified, did the repair, and she must have run over something down the road, even though it was the same two tires. The absolute worst service ever. Don't trust these people with your car, it could cost you your families life. read more

I have taken my car here twice in the last 2 months. Customer service was wonderful and the repairs were done in good time.

I went to Mr. Tire in Waldorf, MD at the Mall Circle location to get an oil change and have the back rear right tire checked because it was making a grinding noise, so I asked about having the brakes inspected too. 2 hours later I am told I don't need brakes (which is fine) but that no one heard the sound I was talking about. So all they did was an oil change in the time I was waiting there. Moreover Kevin, the man working at the front counter was incredibly unhelpful and outright rude to me as I asked about the condition of the car. His customer service was appalling- perhaps if I were a man I would have been treated with more respect and dignity. Rolling his eyes and nodding his head as I asked, "did anyone take the car out to hear the noise." Making me feel as though I was hearing things and completely crazy for suggesting such a thing. His response to me was drive the car around for a while and bring it back and drop it off when I hear the noise. Then when he asked for payment he said, "which type of payment?" To which I responded, "debit." Kevin's response, "that doesn't help me any, which type?" Not offering further clarification that he was looking for the brand of card. So I left, hopped in my car and promptly heard the grinding noise I was talking about as I drove away from the store. All they want is your money. They don't value you as a customer. I went to get my state inspection done. I had a 5 dollar off coupon. It failed they wanted 1200 dollars to fix the problem. I went to my dealer they fixed the flex pipe and horn for 800 dollars. When I went back for re inspection they had the nerve to charge me another 25 dollars. They called it a lift fee. That was not told to me before my inspection. It also took them 3 hrs to do the inspection. I will never return and advise others to do the same. read more

I'm sorry to say I cannot afford your services, I 've had two vehicles damaged while in their care..,. MY 2006 Sebring was brought in for an oil change.. the next day, it wouldn't start right away.. was making noises, missing... engine light came on.... I complained about it to Mr Tire HQ and I was asked to meet with the store manager and was asked to bring it in... I was told by their best tech the computer was not talking to the car and needed to be replaced, as well as other things... about 3500 in repairs,, working with me the manager said if I brought the parts they would eat part the labor for my inconvenience. I went to another location for a second opinion... 55 dollars for a diagnostic and they came up with oc sensor both upper and lower... on review on the lower it was found that it was cut... not saying who cut it... i don't know... so some rewiring had to be done.. Final price 450. out the door... I stopped going to Mr tire for about 7 months. I've been a steady customer with Mr. Tire for years... so decided to give them another chance... I took my 2006 F150 in for an oil change... asked for the 19.99 special from the postcard they sent me... and was told if I didn't have it I could not use it and was charged 66 dollars and some change... now, I have an exhaust leak which I took to a shop to get an estimate on repairs.. The truck was pulled into the shop and put on the rack... I was insured all looked well and the only thing needed was the new bolt and i should have some basic work done while the heads were removed off the truck... This was set up for the end of the month. The next day I take the truck to Mr Tire for an oil change... It was done and I left... going home, the engine started making some noise... I got it home and had class the next day in rockville... after class coming back home the truck started making some grinding noise and pinging noise.. I pulled over and had it towed to my house... the tow truck driver said You can't drive vehicles without oil in them... I went to Mr Tire and spoke to a manager... he set up for a tow to the shop... I received a call that day and was told the dip stick was broken so they had to drill it out but he would replace it at no charge... he claimed the truck had the correct amount of oil in it but the fan belt and pullies was loose and had to be replaced, and that was the problem. I agreed to have the work done. when I went to pick up the truck, I saw that they were going to charge me 89 dollars for the dip stick... once I brought that to the manager's attention it was deleted.. I searched the net to find the most expensive dip stick I could find which was 27.00... you do the math... Well, now the truck is still making noise I took it back and I'm told the water pump and another pulley is going bad. All this from a vehicle which a day earlier was deemed to be in great shape other than the exhaust. I'm not saying Mr. Tire is doing this on purpose, but there are places that will cause additional damage to your vehicle after charging you for a special low price for an oil change... I use to work at one and that's why I quit. But explain how an inspection of a truck could go from no problems to aw shit overnight, and why wasn't the water pump brought to my attention while it was on the rack the second time... why wasn't the belt brought to my attention during the oil change then on top of all this my wedding ring on my key ring for 23 years well it is longer there... I was always told if it looks like a skunk walks like a skunk smells like a skunk... probably is. Two vehicles in less that one year... Usually i'm not one to write reviews, but I feel as though this can't go unnoticed. A few months back, I went here to get an oil change. After receiving the oil change, and driving for about 45 minutes my car started smoking from the hood. I pulled over on the beltway, (mind you it's pouring raining), and gave them a call and they told me to go to the nearest Mr. Tire location. The Alexandria location told me that they had spilled oil everywhere and they'd try their best to clean it up for me. Long story short, I ended up just having to deal with my car smoking up from the hood and driving with the windows down (because the smell of oil was coming through the AC vent) when driving for longer than 20 minutes until all the oil burned off. Well today I went to go get another oil change as one would when it's time to get one, but this time i decided to go to an actual dealership due to my last experience here. Literally after dropping off my car as soon as i left the dealership they called me and told me all the parts they would have to replace because whoever did my oil change last did it completely wrong. "Prior establishment who changed oil installed oil plug crooked", to be exact. On top of that, after paying for the oil change itself, and the messed up parts, it still ended up being cheaper than the oil change I paid for at Mr.Tire. Don't waste your money here. read more

I got tires for two cars here recently and was very happy with the service. Prices were good, you can get the pricing from the national web site. These stores are company owned but the manager must make a huge difference because the service varies greatly. I tried the store in Bryans Road on 210 and they were horrible. At this store the tires were there when they said they would be. I was in and out within an hour the first time, 90 minutes the second time. Tires were mounted and balanced properly on both cars. On my boxster they also did the alignment and it must be right now because it once again drives like a dream. read more

Went to Mr Tire for a flat tire repair as a walk-in today. The lady in the counter was very courteous and welcoming. Took my information and told me that they'll check out my issue and will charge me if they can fix it and won't if they cant. She did not ask for my credit card at this time. During the waiting period, she constantly updated myself and the gentleman ahead of me regarding the progress of our vehicles. They did patch the leak made by a nail. After everything was said and done, I was not charged for their service as I waited probably 1.5 hrs. Although that act was what prompted me to write this review as soon as I did as I haven't had this great service recovery in awhile, I would have given them a good review anyway (some time later, of course). Mainly because of her awesome attitude and her periodic updates. It is not easy dealing with people and it was late in the afternoon too. In addition, 1.5 hours is honestly, not that long of a wait now a days for car repair, especially since I had not made an appointment, I was a walk in. Great service, awesome employee. I was shopping around online for new tires for the front end of my car. Mr. tire seemed to have some good reviews on a specific tire which was also at a reasonable price. Upon getting the tires replaced they did not rotate the tires from the rear to the front and put the new tires on the back, even though I had requested them to do that. Which in fact I shouldn't of had to since that is common practice when getting the front two tires replaced. Also since they were replacing the front tires they did a brake inspection as well. The store manager said that everything looked good and that no work needed to be done to the brakes for sometime. Upon driving the vehicle just as I had left Mr. Tire I noticed a high pitched squeak when applying the break. I thought it was odd and figured it was nothing. Four weeks later it was still occurring and I called up Mr. Tire and asked them to take a look at the brakes. Now before I took the car in I had attempted to take the front drivers side tire off and inspect it as this is where the noise was coming from. Upon doing this one of the lug nuts broke off with the bolt on it. The bolt has snapped off. The lug nut was cross threaded and when trying to take off the lug nut the bolt broke off. Now once I took the car in they inspected the front breaks and told me that my rotor was warped and that the break pads needed to be replaced as there was a crack in them and they had worn down substantially. Now I did a little research and it seems that one way a rotor can be warped is if someone was to over torque a wheel while installing it onto the vehicle. And since one of my lug nuts was cross threaded into the bolt and the bolt snapped off this lead me to believe that they had over torqued the wheel while installing it which led to the rotor being warped, which in turn deteriorated the brake pad. I confronted the store manager and he said that is not the case and that my brakes and rotors needed replacing and no one on their end was responsible or accountable for anything that may have occurred to the car due to an improper installation. To add on to this he also was trying to charge me roughly 400 dollars for a brake job on the front two tires. Was quoting me $133.99 for one rotor {said it was buy one get one free} and 119.99 for the break pads. I don't believe this to be an honest quote and don't believe that I would truly be getting a rotor for free. In conclusion I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience because the store manager did not have any accountability for himself, his company, or his techs whatsoever. Very poor service and bad business on their part. Will never once again use Mr. Tire for anything. I will also make sure to discourage anyone from ever using Mr. Tire again based on the poor level of service that they provided me. read more

They are very misleading especially to women! I took my husbands truck in yesterday to get the brakes changed because it was making a grinding noise after they put my brakes on the front because I thought it was the front they tell me that the front wouldn't make a rubbing sound that it would be the back, so after hey took my money and put brakes on the front when it wasn't needed they told me it was the back they could've just been honest from the beginning and told me the front wouldn't drag only the back, and they charged $150 and I brought my own brakes I didn't purchase theirs! I went there to get my a/c reparied. I made an appointment for that, and when I walked in I asked them to also do an oil change for me. The a/c costed me over $400 and only worked for 3 weeks. They forgot about the oil change and I had to be there even longer. Went in around 10:30 didn't get the car back till 2:57pm. Still had to wait longer for them to do the oil change. I come back after 3 weeks since my a/c no longer worked, now I have a huge leak and the repairs would cost over $1000. And no one in customer service will answer me when I ask to get my money back.
