This store is a rip off. They managed to damage my car and leave about 20 zip ties holding things together. Tire bolts were loose and they let me leave the store like that. I have used them for State mandated inspections and bought a set of tires once. They price matched on the tires and got me in and out in a reasonable time for the inspections as well as the tires. So, I have no complaints about the services I requested. I cannot speak to their maintenance services. Their reservation times can be a bit iffy because when I used them the reservations were handled by some type of clearing house, not the store. read more

I was having trouble with my battery. It died on the road leaving me stranded. I was quite upset and tried to get a jump from a bystander and his jumper cables did not seem to work. I called a tow truck driver and he gave me a jump which started up immediately. Then I drove to Mr tire and they were so great about getting me fixed up. They did not BUT they had another one (which is my current tire) and Vera told me about the special they're running so it turns out I COULD afford the same tire. Which is a better tire, anyway. I called at 5:00 and asked when they could get to me. She said they could do it now. I said I'm in Canton and on my way. When I arrived they got me right in and also changed my oil. Aaaand... There was another special going on for the oil change and windshield wipers with a tire purchase and install. Talk about it being my lucky day!!! This place has blown my mind. Seriously. It makes me sad to see so many One star reviews. Five years ago.we had just buried our mother. My sister had traveled from west Tennessee on rotten tires to come help me with Moms final affairs. Before we headed back to Tennessee we needed to replace at least the front tires as I was afraid the car wouldn't make it if we didn't. That day the employees showed us so much compassion a mistake was made and they broke down the wrong tire the problem was it was so rotten it crumbled and they couldn't put it back on. We only had enough money for the two tires and were at a loss as to what to do. That day when we needed someone to care they did they reached into their own pockets and provided the two extra tires so we could travel home safely. Here I am five years later remembering their kindness and compassion during such a difficult time. I don't know where those guys are now but I pray God repays them for their kindness to my sister and I. And please they are only human please give them a little grace. read more

Came with the flat tire. They told me they won't have time to put a car on a lift but if I remove a tire on a parking lot myself and bring in just a tire - than it will be a matter of 30 mins to put a patch. It was 2:30pm. I left my car on a jack and went for a walk. 3 hours later (30 mins before closing) they told me they won't be able to do it today, come back tomorrow. I waited 4 hours for an alignment. I had an appointment at 9a. I needed an alignment and TPMS installed. The techs working were clearly not qualified to be doing the work. I sat and watched as customers arrived for their appointments later than mine and leave before me. I understand that they are understaffed but when the staff working are all just talking in the garage and not working it is an issue. I waited patiently, for the techs to eventually tell me the don't know how to install my TPMS sensors. I asked for the printed alignment sheet they usually print off and give you after an alignment to see the results of the alignment. I was told they don't know how to work the printer... So I now have no proof the alignment was even done. I will never go back to this location. My day was ruined read more

I never would have thought getting a new set of tires would be such a headache. I went 2 weeks ago to get tires on my car, we made an appointment for 8:30 I was there by 8:10 at 10:30 my car had still not been touched. You have to put a deposit down for tires!? That's is insane. I tried to talk to someone there but never could find anyone. Ended up leaving because I had to be at work and already was almost 3 hours of my day. They do not value customers time or money clearly. We requested to get a reimbursement of our money and the manager Katherine/ Kathy was rude and called us liars. She should be fired along with the rest of the workers. Finally two weeks later we are getting a reimbursement only because are bank has helped us tremendously. Mr. Tire should no longer be in business it's just a wasted space, with terrible employees. This wasn't the first time either talked to many friends and family and they called this " business" a joke. I hit a pothole that cut my tire in Waynesville on 8/23. Went into the Waynesville location and spoke to the manager Katherine Henderson and was told the tire would be delivered Saturday the 24th as long as I let her know by 4pm. I called back same day at 1pm to go ahead and order the tire. I got someone else on the phone that couldn't find my quote because Katherine didn't save it, so he proceeded to look up what I needed and told me the tire would be delivered Saturday 8/24 so we made an appointment for 2pm. My wife dropped my car off Saturday morning and we didn't hear anything until we called and asked for an update. Katherine said the truck hasn't arrived yet and she has no idea when or if it will show. So, we went to the store to get the car and hopefully bring it back on Monday. We understand things happen. When we got to the store Katherine acted as though she has never seen us before. Note, she talked to me Friday, my wife Saturday in person and on the phone. I'm at a loss on how she didn't know us considering we were the only customers in the building. We got the car and headed home with plans to return Monday. Called Monday morning to get an update at 9ish am. The gentleman that answered the phone was just way too busy to talk at that time. He said the truck had not delivered yet l, so I asked if the truck showed up Saturday and he said I can't answer that I'll have to call you back. So, it is now 7:28 Monday evening and I am leaving this review. Not a peep out of anyone from Mr. Tire Auto "no" service. I wouldn't recommend doing any type of business with this location. After they took my truck back and determined that I needed both brake pads and new rotors, aI decided to walk to grab some lunch....as I walked past the open bay doors I watched the mechanic remove my wheel.....the first one. Read that again..... When I walked in and asked how he could possibly diagnose brake issues when the wheels were still on I noticed an older worn rotor laying on the ground, as if THAT was the one they would have shown me had I asked. I asked for old parts and did not receive them, complained to the front desk person who simply said "ok" and called the customer service number and left a message. Haven't heard from a soul. Here is my 100% accurate description of my experience: I went yo Mr Tire Waynesville and ordered new tires on the Monday before Christmas. At that time I made an appointment for the following Monday at 1PM. I showed up on time and was told my total for the tires. Their job was take off my current tires and wheels, move my TPMS to my new rims and mount the new tires on the Jeep. I came back an hour and 15 minutes later and was told they were busy and it would take another 2 hours. So that would be over 3 hours. I was asked to pay and I gave my credit card to process while I read my bill. I'm addition to services I did not request, I was charged $149 twice for a "tire protection package". I offer this advice, if you must go here, insist on getting your bill FIRST and then look at it AGAIN at time of payment. Fooled me once, shame on them. Not honest and forthcoming in their business practices. They are also understaffed. Run your business right, treat your employees right and you should not be understaffed. They should have told me 3 HOURS+ and I would have gone elsewhere. read more

I went to get my wheel axle align so they said it was not working but you need another part so we can actually do the wheel axle alignment so the mechanic told me the part will be there by the 16th so I came and they didn't have it and they just kept on forgetting to get the part that I needed even though that I came there 3 times on top of asking them to change my oil filter then they left the bolts loose to my oil container where I was leaking oil everywhere! read more

I have a 2020 vehicle, which has a lot of bells and whistles that I quite frankly don't completely understand. When a service light went on last week, the manual indicated it was a tire problem. Not great, since the dealer is in Asheville. I stopped at Mr. Tire, and instead of taking advantage of my panic and shameful lack of knowledge, they very kindly explained the light was letting me know that the sudden change in temperature had affected the inflation of the tires. Had a puncture while out on a Friday night - Went in at 8am on a Saturday thinking it would be a while to get fixed. Met by Ms. Sarah who was as polite and friendly as anyone I've encountered in a service industry - She was truly a joy to speak with and interact with. She got one of their Techs - Dillion to come out and see my issue, he asked if he could grab the tire out of my bed and then went to work fixing it - I moved my truck next to a bay and in no time did Dillion come out and he had fixed the tire - remounted it - put the old one back under my truck and was as friendly and polite as one could ask for . Service like this these days seems be lost - especially with folks who are a bit "Younger" - But the folks at Mr Tire in Waynesville are just terrific - If the owner reads this you need to know you have a great team at this store ! We were referred to this location by a family friend while traveling from Florida, to NC then on to NY. Big mistake. The car was acting up and engine light on so a family friend in NC recommended Mr. Tire where we went and thought we were getting 8 new spark plugs... at least thats what we were told and what we paid $362 dollars for. After about 3 hours back on the road the car started experiencing the same problem, engine light back on. We made it home and immediately went to a trusted mechanic where we live in NY. This is where we found out that none of the spark plugs had been changed at all. You can imagine how shocked we were...My dad who is 77 was completely cheated out of his money and when I contacted Monro Muffler headquarters (after learning that they were the headquarters for Mr. Tire) they have done nothing but give us the run around. We provided pictures... a new bill, a letter from the mechanic that found the spark plugs were never changed. They told me that they were going to call my dad to get further details from him and have yet to do so. I cannot believe that this large of a Company would do this and quibble over $362.... how many others has this happened to? ***UPDATE - MEAGAN FROM MR. I can't say enough about Garrett and the awesome team at Mr. Tire! Garrett turned what could have been a horrible day, into a great one. On a road trip from NJ, we were traveling the beautiful mountains of TN and NC. On Rt 75 we experienced a blowout...were saved by AAA and headed to Mr Tire who patched the tire expertly and sent us on our way in less than an hour. I visited Mr. Tire in mid-September when the tire pressure light in a rental car continued to come on. Jay checked it out and fixed it, and then it came back on two or three more times during our week long vacation. Each time, Jay was able to address the problem and take care of it. First off this business used to be Clark's Tire, family owned and very reliable. It is now Mr. Tire, a franchise, and no longer reliable. On September 25 I brought my 2006 Prius in for annual inspection. It passed with no problems. On October 21 the same car had a slow leak in the right front tire. I returned to Mr. Tire and was informed that ALL my tires had " very little tread and needed to be replaced." Yet this same vehicle passed their own inspection just 3 weeks prior. I replaced the flat tire only. I will no longer be a customer at Mr. Tire in Waynesville NC. read more

Had an apt to fix a flat tire and rotate tires at Mr Tire in Waynesville NC on 5-22-2020, I dropped vehicle off and was told about hr. I arrived back in a hr and 25 min at which time I was told it would be another 15 min. When I questioned why it was taking so long to plug a tire and rotate 4 tires I was told " I have a fill in guy today my other guy would have been faster". Why did you quote me 1 hr? It was in the bay but he didn't put it up to rotate tires until she came back from checking on how much longer. She said by the way today is free. Well that why I paid for the service and protection when I bought them from you! My time apparently isn't worth anything!! Almost 2 hrs to plug a tire and rotate 4. One of my tires was losing air. Mr Tire was able to fit me in quickly and repaired the tire, or at least I hope so. I thought the leak was in the right rear but they told me they repaired the left rear. I hope I was wrong. But the real reason for the poor rating is that this place is absolutely filthy. OMG There are paths through the dirt on the floor, filthy base boards and loose dirt against the walls. I can only guess what was on the chair I used while waiting. I should have stayed in my car. I didn't want to see the rest room. Until this place is under new ownership, I will not be back. So I explained my poor rating, stating that the area where Mr Tire's retail location in Waynesvile was so filthy, I would never be back. I then received a response from Meagan S of Mr Tire HQ who asked me to call Theresa at 866-787-5005. I tried but when the number is called, the caller is warned that the conversation might be recorded. No Hello, thanks for calling or anything. Just a warning. So I waited in complete silence, not that I like music on hold anyway, and then Mr. Tire hung up. This happened three times. Meagan, you do not need to talk to me.
