Needed a set of tires and wanted to go with a locally owned business. I was quoted a great price and when I asked when he could start, he asked for my keys and went to work. I was surprised because the shop was very busy. I waited in the lobby and in less than an hour the job was done. I also found out that the low price also included a free tire rotation every 5000 miles! When I went to the parking lot to leave, the manager came out to shake my hand and thank me for my business. Because of a sudden serious illness of our Daughter's mother-in-law, we found ourselves needing to travel and stay for a time in Florida in our motorhome. Since the tires were old and dry rotted (over 8 years old) they needed replacement. My husband took our Nissan Xttera 4x4 in November of 2019 for 4 new tires and balancing. We had used this shop over many, many years with the previous owners who were very reputable.The quoted price was not the cheapest in town, but it was in the ball park, and they would take and make an appointment. My husband did make an appointment, so he was pleasantly surprised when they actually began work on time even though they were busy. My husband who knows his car stuff emphasized to Jeff before installation to check for "out-of-round" on all the tires and torque the nuts to the correct PSI. Although Jeff said problems very rarely happened on the tires my husband ordered, it turned out he admitted one was out of round before letting my husband leave and feel it for himself. Most tire shops would never have admitted it, let alone before leaving. They put the bad tire on so he could drive home, but had a new one the next day for him and put it on as soon as he arrived. Everything was torqued correctly at my husband's insistence. Overall my husband was very satisfied with the service, their willingness to listen to a customer who knew something, and especially the ethical attitude of Jeff to admit openly one tire was bad. read more

Short answer: If wasting time is your thing, they've got you covered. If you enjoy playing games making appointments, taking off of work to get to the appointment, and then getting your appointment blown off- you're at the right place. Long answer: Been here MANY times over the past few years, multiple tire sets, oil changes, inspections, tire patches, you name it. Friendly helpful caring counter staff. I would just sorta show up, the desk fella would give a time, which ranged from now-ish to 2 hours and that was that. It'd get done, no big deal. DEFINITELY 5 star staff and service. I'm not sure if there has been a management/ownership scheme change, but something is 1000% different about this place as of Jan 2019. Went in 2-1/2 weeks ago to get a safety inspection- literally a 10 minute (or less)procedure - the counter person says not today, you'll need to make an appointment. I ask right then, what about tomorrow, they snap back NOPE, next week (today is tuesday). I tell them I'll get back to them. I call at the end of the week and ask for an appointment for an oil change and a safety inspection for sometime next week- they snap back again, nope. I call back the following week and ask for an appointment for the following tuesday- 1130. they say OK. I show up 1130 tuesday, tell the counter person I have an appointment- she just looks at me and then points to all these cars/invoices on the table and says not today. I had an appointment- clearly this means nothing here. I walked out. I'm done with that. 2-1/2 weeks of getting blown off- NICE to know I can get an appointment, take time from work, and not get the work done- thank you. If your understanding of being 'organized' is just being rude, or if by 'make an appointment' you actually mean that you have no intention of giving service, then good luck with that, I'm out. read more

We had trailer tire problems while towing our motorcycle to Maggie Valley and needed a new tire. The first and last stop was Waynesville Tire. After getting a decent price on a pair of replacements the manager or possibly an owner (I didn't get names- sorry) told me to bring it in anytime. We bought four new tires from these folks and when we went to rotate them we could not get the lug nuts off. This was evident by the shimmy during braking. The rotors were warped from over-tightening. Purchased a breaker bar to remove them. Estimating they were well over 200 ft-lbs tight. I used my own torque wrench to tighten them to 82 ft-lbs. Returned the car to them because of out of balance condition and slow leak on one tire. They fixed the slow leak and balanced the front wheels/tires. Checked lug nut torque on wheels that had been removed and could not get them loose. Got the breaker bar out and broke one of my short socket extensions getting them off. Took the car back and complained that there torque wrench was broken or out of calibration. I was able to loosen and re torque all the nuts to 82 ft-lbs but one of the lug nuts is damaged and needs to be replaced. Will not go back ever again. If you have them remove a wheel check for proper nut torque. read more

Lonnie said it all. Great prices, short wait time, and they will answer any question you got. This place is honest. If you thought you had a big problem, and it turns out to be small, they charge you accordingly. There is a TV with VCR for waiting kids, as well as coloring books for them. There is a puzzle for waiting adults! They also have coffee, magazines, and a snack machine. The "thank you" notes that Patty sends out are so heartwarming- not many businesses appreciate their customer base nowadays- it really makes your day to know that they care. I needed two tires for my car. They gave me a quote and a time that the tires would have been in by. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call 2 hours before my appointment that the tires had arrived early and that I could come in earlier than my appointment. i brought my subaru forrester in because there was a popping noise coming from the front right wheel and the mechanic said that it was a plastic piece that keeps popping loose and was an easy fix it cost me around 180 , well they didnt fix it instead they bent my sway bar and bolted it to an area it wasnt supposed to be bolted to and messed my car up , i took it to the dealership and they were shocked at what waynesville tire had done to my car it cost me 450 dollars to get it fixed i have a video of the damages that the mechanic did to my car , i plan on taking them to court and sue read more

We pulled in and were told that it would be about 45 min. wait so we went and had a bite to eat and when we returned they got us in exactly as promised. Had those tires on and vehicle ready to go in less than 30 mins. Unfortunately we recently had tires put on our other vehicle at a different tire store whose counter person thought a parts delivery girl was important than his customers and who couldn't tell the difference between 45 mins. and 2 hrs.
