If I did call, I would record the call as I have every legal right to do in New York State. I do that all of the time with fraudulent companies. When Mavis fraudulently repaired my front brakes, I spoke with the Regional Manager by phone. He denied any culpability. Then, I filed a complaint with the DMV. They did nothing because I had asked that Mavis be closed down. Since the DMV could not close them down without numerous complaints, they dropped it. So, everyone who reads this and has been defrauded by Mavis, file a complaint with the DMV. If enough people file complaints, New York State will take action against Mavis' huge fraud. Let's band together to stand up for our rights and stop Mavis from hurting people. So, when they got around to it, they pulled the front wheels and showed me my brakes. As I said, they were fine. About a year later, I was still hearing a noise. I finally found out what the noise was that I originally went to Mavis for. It turns out that it was the rear brakes. Mavis never even checked them. I have been riding on the original rear brakes since I bought my car. My car is a 2012 Toyota Yaris. When I told the new service center about the noise, they figured out over the phone what was wrong and then told me to drive very carefully because this could be dangerous. When they took the wheels off and opened the drums of my rear brakes, I asked to take pictures. They let me do so. Everything was rusted down to nothing. So, Mavis let me drive on these and instead repaired what did not need to be repaired. This is outrageous! I warn you DO NOT GO TO MAVIS DISCOUNT TIRE for your own safety. They are a very poor excuse for a repair shop. Going to Mavis can risk your safety or even your life. Check out my pictures of my rear brakes. Mavis never even looked at them. They were too busy trying to find an excuse to charge me lots of money for something that didn't need to be done.

Took my 4 yr old jeep in for an inspection and oil change. Received a call stating brakes would…read morepass but are low. I know they were not that bad but it's in the shop figured get it out of the way as we are towing a small trailer to fl in 3 days. He says an hour and a half. Pushing the end of the day I receive a call that all the brake lights are on the dash and pedal is hard to push. They need to take it to the dealer but they will not be able to get it in til 4pm the next day. I finally get a call around 530 stating brakes are good but there's an airbag light on from a corroded wire. As we are arguing because the light wasn't on when I gave it to you for 2 simple jobs, now it had to go to the dealership and I also have the new light! The gentleman states it did not go to the shop they called and got it reset. As I arrive to pick up the car and pay, the other mechanic at the counter states I drove it to the dealership and they thought it was odd. Hold up, who's lying about where my car has been and with whom. And to top it off I said can you show me where the corroded wire is so I can figure out how to fix. The one had stated he was the one doing the repairs yet now neither of them know where it is. How is this possible unless everyone is being completely dishonest about the situation. In a nutshell I gave this shop a perfectly fine running newer car and it was not returned in the same condition. I am now leaving for fl tomorrow and don't trust it so, have to take a loaner that is costing me more money. I will be looking into legal advice when we return from our trip.
