Long overdue review for July 2021. We're a very early stage startup and wanted to do a fun outdoor activity while getting to know each other. Dan was super responsive by email, and explained all the packages available. Right now they also give you a contact less DIY option at reduced cost, which was perfect for us! They send you (or someone of your choice) the clue packet, map area and solutions and you can have someone print and put them in envelopes for you. This was great since we could also be flexible on date and time. They have a bunch of really interesting locations across the bay. I opted for downtown San Mateo, which was close to us and none of us knew anything about it. We split into 3 teams of 4 each. Solving the clues and running around the city was a lot of fun! They also include bonus photo ops which were great! The time limit and difficulty was just perfect for us and everyone had a good time. I had two weeks to plan a fun event in San Francisco for 25 co-workers. I reached out to Mr Treasure Hunt, and Dan sent me a very thorough and helpful response in just a few hours. Dan's prices and attentiveness can't be beat! For our treasure hunt, I chose Golden Gate Park. I was having a lot of trouble trying to find a good place for lunch that was within walking distance and would accommodate 25 people. Dan was awesome and recommended the de Young Cafe, which is right in Golden Gate Park. Saved me a huge headache! The day of our event, Dan showed up to the park early to make sure all the stops along our treasure hunt were accessible. One of the stops was fenced off, so he crossed that clue off our treasure hunts. My company had the best time with Dan at Mr. Treasure Hunt! We opted for a 2 hour hunt in Golden Gate Park, which was an awesome location as I didn't know how many cool structures are hidden around the park permanently and how pretty the grounds were. The puzzles were the "right amount" of challenging to figure out - very fun and a good team bonding experience. There was a fair amount of walking involved, BUT teams could split up (most split into groups of 2 to cover more ground), and if you have someone who doesn't like walking they can hang out and end up not doing much walking around at all, if that's their preference. We were happy this was the case as we had 2 in the group who were less excited about the active component of the hunt. Overall, such a good combination of using your brain, getting some light exercise, being outdoors and bonding with colleagues. We loved the picture challenges, too. Would highly recommend to anyone who has a group that is looking to do something fun and different for a corporate outing! Dan) designed and executed a treasure hunt for my team of about 40 colleagues in downtown Alameda this past week.I've done a variety of treasure hunts in the past, some much more successful than others. This rated as one of the best! Dan knows what he's doing. The clues were neither too easy nor too difficult and the geography covered was not too far or too close. There were about 20 of us, half college students (accounting majors) and half professional staff (accountants and consultants). Our hunt was in Downtown San Jose. We all had a great time, and we had great feedback from the students and staff as well! Our Company Treasure Hunt was so much fun! We were looking for a company team-building activity to do when our sales team (spread out across the U.S.) came to visit our SF HQ. We didn't have a large budget, and Mr. Treasure Hunt fit the price for an activity that would split our 21 person team into smaller groups. We opted for the Golden Gate Park Treasure Hunt - and lucked out to have a beautiful sunny day. Dan was waiting for us and was a great mix of fun and professionalism as he handed out the maps, clues and gave the game instructions. The game was well thought out - each clue was the "right amount" of challenging (actually pretty hard for a group of 20 educated adults) and varied enough that it was necessary to collaborate with team members. Some clues would be puzzles, some would be trivia - all led to a spot on the map where you had to find something. We met at the end and Dan gave out prizes to the winning team. Our group is (for lack of a better word) special. We are in the service industry and after a mind melting peak season we had a brief window to get together, say we appreciate you, and enjoy one another's company on a day that did not involve food and deadlines.
