For the past two years I was watering my lawn all the time, sometimes twice a day during Summer and whenever we vacationed or left home for a week I was always worried about the lawn dying and all the effort it would take to regrow. It started to become a chore rather than something enjoyable. We finally decided to get a Sprinkler System installed and so glad we found Jon. Communication was great right away with super fast replies on Yelp and I believe Jon even came the next day for an estimate. He finished the sprinkler system in less than a week which is what he quoted with excellent attention to detail and a very honest price. The complexity was we were doing concrete work at the time so there were two contractors at our house at the same time. He set me up with a 3 zone system, the front area is exposed to a lot of sun and I always struggled with keeping things growing there. The cool thing is the Rachio system he installed automatically chooses ideal times to water based on daily weather reports. You can see the "after" pictures which show my lawn is still nice and green despite the heat and now I get to water for pleasure instead of doing it as a task! I enjoyed bantering with Jon as well, he is a very knowledgeable guy and also very easygoing and chill to talk to.

Octavio and Pacific Premiere Landscaping is STILL incredible! Extremely professional, responsive and just an all around really nice guy! We had a very large project that included our Front, Side, and sloping back yard. My wife and I, like a lot of couples I'm certain, have design paralysis with that "I don't know, what do you want?" going back and forth with each other endlessly. Octavio has a great eye, and countless times he broke our deadlock saying, "How about this? I think this would look really nice" and when we followed his suggestions we ended up being incredibly happy with the result! That's a huge benefit that you can't put value on, because it keeps a project moving forward with minimal stress. Whenever we had questions, he always replied to our texts instantly, and one of the things I really appreciated about his company is that we never had to line up any of our own specialty contractors (electrical, plumbing etc) to do work. He has every discipline covered and coordinates the scheduling of all of that. I've worked with contractors before where they would inform you they didn't do a type of work and we would have to contract that effort separately. Octavio is not like that and he'll coordinate it all according to how you'd like it to look, or be done. Big thumbs up on that! Payment schedules are very clearly explained and documented. Our project included payments in "phases of work" down payment, forms completed, rebar completed, Completed concrete, electrical and irrigation/plants completed, final approval completed etc. and there was flexibility in the schedule if we wished, which made it much easier at one point while we were travelling. He's very open to discussing whatever makes things go smoothly. We loved how he gave us a lot of help particularly with trees/plants (types, locations) Octavio is very knowledgeable in that area and we were very pleased when he met us at the nursery multiple times to show and help us select plants and trees. His work crews were always very friendly, hard working and meticulous, and he checked in on them constantly to make sure everything was going according to plan. It's very obvious that he wants to make sure there are no surprises, and that work is progressing according to schedule and plans. It was a great pleasure having Octavio and Pacific Premiere Landscaping transform our home! We would use him again without question and in fact have several other projects in the immediate future that we're in the process of discussing. A lot of people will search hard for the lowest price (I would estimate that Octavio's prices are not the "cheapest", but they are much more than fair, and I would argue that there is a HUGE difference between "lowest price" and "value"; that being the quality and experience of the work done for the money spent, and with that in mind, Pacific Premiere is a tremendous value! I was confused because it's preexisting and I don't want to change it. He then told me that this was required by the city and I would need a permit! I was astounded because that's a lie! It's not my first deck project so I knew repairs and maintenance do not require a permit. I also received several other quotes from licensed and bonded contractors and no one thought I needed a permit.

Our recent project was a complete overhaul of our front and side yard, and we really didn't know what we wanted since we were working with a blank slate (tearing out old Juniper). We met with Louis for the initial consultation and really just shared ideas of what we had in mind (some boulders, plants/trees, lighting, new stairs, etc.). He, Jack, and the team really brought it to life by designing it from scratch (using ideas and preferences we shared) and then working with us throughout the project to make sure everything was installed to our preference. We made a few tweaks along the way (swapping out tree preferences, picking stone colors, etc.), but they easily accommodated and also helped guide us when we weren't quite sure what we wanted. They're also punctual/show up on time, clean up after themselves, communicate daily, and even finished the project early! We anticipated a 4-5 week project but they busted it out in the month of February and even had a few days rained out. We have zero complaints and can't wait to bring the team back for future projects. I highly recommend Hansen Landscape to anyone looking to do a big (or small) landscape project.

We hired Garden Mamas to maintain our mature hillside garden. While we thought it a bit strange…read morethat we had a different crew out most every time, we were assured by Tamara that she had communicated what needed to be done - she was managing the crew. This method seemed to work mostly, although we had to tell the crew each visit what to do, as mostly instructions had been partially communicated. One day, she sent two new people. We told them to trim two bushes on the stairwell and to pick up the leaves, nothing else. This was also communicated to Tamara a few days prior, but like most times, the crew seemed clueless as to what to do. When they were done and had left, we discovered that they had BUTCHERED our garden - most of five++ years of growth was cut away and in a most unappealing fashion. Her crew ripped out plants that a previous crew had installed only a month prior, had trimmed four bushes that were covering an unsightly wall into lollipop shapes, completely exposing the wall, trimmed new growth off of once per season budding plants without any care for shape or aesthetics, butchered slow growing manzanita plants that may never recover, etc etc etc. We were appalled and contacted her. Tamara responded to our concerns, but would not or could not take personal or financial responsibility for making us whole. She told us that the crew she sent was inexperienced and had never worked on a personal, mature garden (only on storage facilities and office complexes), and that she did not have the $$ to replace the plants destroyed or to pay for someone else to replace the plants (as we told her that we could not work with her anymore). We thought about going to the CSLB so that we could at least recover her bond, but did the time/money calculus and finally settled on her paying for two plants to be replaced, at another landscaper's wholesale cost (approx $500). So far, it has cost us over $10000 to get the garden back to where it was, and it will take a few years for it to look as good as it did prior to November 2025. We tried to support this independent, woman-owned business; but her model of a different crew every time coupled with an inability to run her business in a fiscally responsible manner makes it impossible for us to recommend her to ANYONE
