Tried this place a few times. My partner likes it cause it's close to home.. The last time we ordered takeout he ordered the seafood soup. No seafood in it. Just the broth. We confirmed after that it came with actual shrimp & fish but none was in his soup. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and it had a few pieces of chicken. It mostly had celery and nothing but peanuts. I placed a to go order and picked it up. I received a friendly greeting when I came through the door. When I got the food home, it was still hot and the portion was generous. Oh gosh I ordered from here and maybe I'm wrong but the steamed dumplings were not very good. I definitely reccomens sesame house. All the food was exactly the same except steamed dumplings are so much better at sesame house. Not a bad little American Chinese restaurant... I had a mango slushy, and a order of hot and sour soup, which was delicious and just the right amount of pot, a well... And orange chicken which was slightly spicy. Very nice. Good eggrolls. Only problem was when they chased us out. They wanted to close a little early. Nice little strip mall joint that will surprise you. It looks from the outside as a nondescript to-go place. If you choose to dine in, however, you will get your food on real plates & real fresh. They have counter service, yet, they bring your order to the table. They also offer delivery service. They have all the standard dishes you would expect, and the prices are very reasonable. We order from the Arlington tx location often. They have changed there delivery to door dash. That took our $50 meal for the family to $70. We will not be ordering from again. I always go to this restaurant. Order my chick chow mein. Today I ordered and when I got home its low mein. I called the restaurant and the gentleman said that they don't do chow mein. I explained I always go there and I get chow mein. Then he says it must be a lunch thing, I explained that when I normally order is after 6. He said I was wrong. So ill take my business elsewhere. Food was disgusting. Egg Foo Young is normally my favorite but this one didn't have any bean sprouts, it was like a big pile of egg with other questionable ingredients. The lo mein tasted and smelled burnt. No flavor. The crab rangoons are the biggest letdown, super crispy with barely any filling in it.. The egg rolls were edible. The boba seemed old in my smoothie.... i mean Panda Express is less authentic fast food, YET it taste 100x better than this Asian owned restaurant. Makes no sense. Don't spend your hard earned $$$ here. I'm so upset i wasted $40 on a meal that I ate a few bites of. I had to give it away to someone else and they thought it was disgusting as well, but ate it bc they don't want food being wasted. The place doesn't even look clean ... given it is a hole in the wall. But you would think after 10+ years that they would put some money into the appearance of the shop. Best bet is to just go order in person for takeout. The food is produced super quickly. Hardly any wait. Easier than trying to phone in an order for pickup. The pineapple chicken is delicious, shrimp and broccoli also good, hot garlic beef was good. The crab Rangoon are massive and tasty. Fried wontons are super crispy. Egg drop soup was fresh and tasty. This is an awful restaurant I ordered threw Uber. I understand some restaurants don't know how to set up Uber but when you list something as a certain price. It is not your customers fault that it's cheap. They refused 3 orders of lo mein because they said I didn't pay for it. I can understand that I guess you had no price listed. But the kind thing to do when you see one whole part of an order was not getting made was either cancel the order and let me re order it again correctly. I have three kids. Non of them received their noodles because you waited till the Uber driver was there so that I had to pay for my other half of the order. You would think that's it. But I ordered a thing of sesame chicken it was supposed to come with my choice of a side. I chose noodles. Not only did I not receive those noodles that were not discounted. But they gave me rice. Which not one of my kids will eat. So you would think that's it but it's not I receive my order of just sesame chicken and crab Rangoons and the container of all that liquidy chicken in it had been placed in the bag 100% side ways. The bottom of the bag was a complete mess and everything was covered. They had to have done this on purpose as it was at the top of the bad wedged in and stapled. I've popped in here for a quick lunch a few times because I work just down the road. It's right beside of the Subway and behind Burger King and Chicken Express. I always get the same thing and ever Chinese restaurant, Cashew Chicken. It's sort of my way to get an even baseline. The cashew chicken at Mr. Wok is a bit unusual because they put in garden peas. I'm not sure I've ever had it with that. Anyway, the service is good, the food is good- not amazing, but good. The lunch prices are $6-$7. Mr. Wok seems to be a better lunch or take out place because it's small, simple and more "cafe" style. I recommend it for lunch but would probably have dinner somewhere else. read more
