Great customer service from staff. First time here, I didn't have high expectations. I was craving Chinese food and didn't feel like cooking it myself. This place reopened in June after major health code violation's. The food tasted similar to any other Asian fast food restaurant. I think everyone will be safe eating here if you're looking for something quick in the area. The place was clean and service was fast. 3 stars because food had no wow factor. An hole in the wall, but taste, portion, & prices did NOT disappoint! The staff was friendly & my order of crab Rangoon was made ready in about 5 minutes. The place is old, rips on some benches, & pile of boxes in one corner, but food was surprisingly fresh & tasty! We got orange chicken, peppered chicken, seafood vegetable stir fry, broccoli beef, a box of 12 crab Rangoons. A box of noodles or fried rice with 2 items is $8.75 & it is stuffed & comes with an eggroll. They also gave us a medium-sized piece of bbq pork. It is a lot of food, enough for at least 2 meals! A box of 12 crab Rangoons was $5.99, & they were decent! The beef broccoli was tasty with perfectly cooked broccoli (not soggy) & tender beef. Everything else was also tasty. The peppered chicken was crispy but tender inside. The eggroll was pretty good, better than some quick Chinese places. This place's saving grace is that the portion size is big! It didn't disappoint in that the food was as "good" as I thought it was going to be. I really wanted it to be delicious. But it didn't. I went for the kids meal. Oh. The speaker where you order didn't work. I pulled up to the window and the lady looked surprised...really? I got everything in the tiniest to go box. How'd they squeeze all that in there? The chicken in the jalapeño chicken was fried. Not stir fried. 2 slices of jalapeno. Review #8 of 22 for the year 2022! I driven by this place a couple of times and its hard to miss so I stopped by to try it out. There is plenty of parking and they do have a drive thorough available. They have the typical food you find at a fast food Chinese restaurant ,orange chicken, Beijing beef, sesame chicken, eggrolls, stir fry rice etc. They have a 'pick your own bow/plate" which is similar to other big chain restaurant. The drinks are only one dollar and they are as big as my face *see picture attached to this review for size comparison*. When I went it was well after the lunch rush so there was nobody inside eating but they did have 2 other people ordering inside to go. It did not take long to get my food so I decided to eat inside the empty restaurant. Not gonna lie yall, this place could use a face lift but it gets the job done right. There were some tables with trash left behind and the table i sat at looked to be the cleanest but it still had food crumbs *sad face*. I was really looking forward to trying out the food but I am not sure what happened but the food had no flavor. No flavor at all, I am not sure if it was just that day or like that everyday but seriously it was bad. I had to drown that food with so many packets of soy sauce to taste anything. It was time for a much needed quick bite. I was craving chinese food so, I decided No 1 Chinese Restaurant will have to do. It was an interesting experience! I remember come her back in my glory days when I was in college. I loved it back in the day. I remember their food being warm and fresh. My how things have changed! When I walked up, this couple was walking out and the guy spit in front his date!? I walked in and this couple, who seemed like regulars were ordering complex combos and lady was indecisive too. Might I add they waited a minute too. By the time I ordered my food the pyt, she was actually Hispanic w light eyes, light skin and pretty eyeshadow was a bit stressed. I was definitely feeling her energy. I heard her say, a customer at the drive through got the wrong order. I felt so uncomfortable. I didnt want to ask for amything else. Really awkward. Sweet and Sour Chicken with Fried rice and an egg roll for 3.99+ tax is what Inordered. What a steal! However, I was really disappointed. I took my first bite and was thinking, ugh.. "this is old stale and crusty!" It was definitely not fresh. They are also slim on the sweet and sour sauce. My eggroll was ok. It was salty semi crispy. Their fried rice wasnt the best. It had caramelized onions and dried up tastless peas. I sat down in a booth and their was significant wear and tear. As soon as I sat down, their was no support or comfort. I was like, can this even hold my skinny butt?? I think, they should get a new booth or reupholster it. Also, my table was wobbly. I cant help but, to notice the walls were dirty and needed some paint. As I ate, my not so No 1 Chinese food, soft classical music played, which instaneously made me feel calm. Staff is friendly. They're quick and helpful if you don't know the menu. It's obvious the food has been left under the burner for days. Breading separates from the meat indicating it's been 140F for way too long. This leaves the meat feeling very odd in the mouth as well. I ate a quarter of my food before throwing it out. Not an inviting spot to sit down to eat either. There are boxes stacked in the dining room and the cleanliness is questionable. Basically I paid $10 for employees to be nice to me. I always opt for Jalapeno Chicken (it has a small kick), lo mein, fried frice, egg roll, fortune cookie, and mountain dew. All under five bucks, its a win-win. Wait, how have I not left a review for this place over the last 10-15 years? This is my go-to to-go Chinese place. Once I had mushy noodles and it broke my heart. But I rubbed some dirt on it and walked it off. This place is great. They give you so much food for your money. I'm a fat boy and I can get 3 meals from a single order. The containers are absolutely packed. I do wish their website was better. And frankly, folks, pictures do not suffice as a "menu". It is hard to get family input if you can't share a menu link with them. But I usually get the same thing every time, so I've survived. For the price, you can't beat this place. Looking at these reviews, and i'm very confused. In my personal experience, I thought this place was great. Building does not pass the eye test, nor does the inside as there's boxes everywhere. But environment does not make a huge impact on my reviews. I ordered Lo Mein with Sesame and Orange Chicken and also got an Egg Roll. They absolutely loaded up my box. I also grabbed some Soy Sauce and Sweet and Sour Sauce (i think). Lo Mein was pretty good, but the Orange and Sesame Chicken did it for me. Both very good flavor and texture. It's not gourmet, but I get the fried rice combo and it's very filing and pretty darn tasty. Also a lot for the money.

They're okay. I've been multiple times and I love Chinese food but they just aren't that great. They aren't the best by far and the food is mediocre but you get a lot for the price. The best is the sweet and sour shrimp and chicken. Ragoons are okay but are mostly cream cheese and little to no crab. The orange chicken and Sesame chicken are basically the same and are usually soggy and bland. The noodles are not usually hot either and they barely give sweet and sour sauce when you get the sweet and sour chicken or shrimp but they are still bomb even when you get them and they're cold. Also, the sweet tea has a strange after taste is free when they decide to give it to you when you meet the price minimum. Not to mention when the card machine messed up they wanted to take my card number and I thought that was a bit much even they could've just asked for cash only. I usually see cars there and assumed that this place should be somewhat decent. This place is getting only 1 star, because I can't give anything lower. I made the mistake of eating here, I ordered fried shrimp and fish, which was overcooked and tasteless. I also tried the lo mien with orange chicken and teriyaki chicken which were disgusting. The orange chicken was actually red and the teriyaki chicken looked like it was kicked around in dirt. The lo mien was bland and flavorless. I wouldn't send my enemies to this place, in the fear that Karma would kick my @ss. This is by far the worst Chinese food ever! I wouldnt say its the worst chinese food cuz i have had really bad ones before. but for the price its not bad and the flavors average like any cheap chinese food joints. i dont have high expectations for fake chinese food joints. they all pretty much taste about the same. you have your normal lo mein or fried rice and assortments of entrees. so if you want a big portion so you can have some for later great place to eat. and its close to tcc.
