Sashimi Dinner with salad and miso soup (26.95)
Laura C.

We've driven out to Mansfield twice now for dinner and both times chose Suzushii. I'll start with the ambiance. Unfortunately, the majority of the restaurant is a wide open high ceilinged space made up of tables and chairs. A bar area with two registers either side, line one wall, and booths with chairs on the aisle, line the other. The "music" is radio. It's loud and much of it is garbled over the noise. The first time we were there it was near closing and I asked to please turn it down as we were the only people left. Thankfully they did. This visit there were two birthdays going on and a full noisy house at dinner time. We were in the middle of things at a table. I can say, the prices are moderate and the food is generally good. I see why everyone is there on a Thursday. It's just not my ideal dining experience. Our waiter was terrific and the service was spot on. Their menu is expansive. We first ordered the Spicy Tuna Roll as an appetizer. They make the BEST spicy tuna rolls. Spicy and big, with a large portion of spicy tuna in every bite. EVERY bite. The roll is perfect. Fantastic! I always want Sashimi so I ordered the dinner with 3pcs each of Tuna, Salmon, Yellow Tail, White Tuna, and Red Snapper. It's served with miso soup and a salad. ($26.95) The miso soup is delicious. I usually sip on it as I eat the sashimi. The salad is lettuce and 1 grape tomato but there's lots of that wonderful dressing. They give you shaved daikon in every corner of the sashimi platter and I put some in my leftover dressing in the salad bowl. Crunchy yummy textural goodness for an additional palate cleanser. So good! The rest goes in my soup. None of it goes to waste. I love daikon! The platter itself was good quality except for the salmon which was not firm. Flimsy, it tasted alright but was not particularly unctuous and fell apart when you picked it up with the chopsticks. But overall, I enjoyed the platter and the other fish was very good. My spouse always orders chicken teriyaki. It's a risk. He was disappointed this time with partially charred dry chicken. His dinner was served with Hibachi vegetables and he substituted fried rice for an additional $2.50. It was also served with the miso soup and a salad ($15.95). My husband will not complain to me until the meal is over because he knows I WILL complain for him. But he left most of the chicken so I asked him. *sigh* The restrooms were large, clean and adequately supplied. The parking is shopping center parking. The service does not disappoint. It's unfortunate that some other aspects of quality do.

Website prices are outdated, at least 2 yrs old, add $2-4 per entree. Food wise, it never disappoints. Got bento bf teriyaki & 3-sushi-roll-lunch x 4. Everything was fresh & delicious, enough for at least 2 meals. To-go orders are always packed nicely & ready at time of pick up.

Dynamite roll

I met some friends here for dinner, this was my first time here. This place is obviously very popular for sushi as that's what most people were eating. I'm not big on uncooked food, but definitely tried some out this round. They did have alternatives and I got a filet mignon with rice and vegetables. They did pre-cut my steak and cook it in pieces which is not exactly how I like it, but it was OK. My friend got the teriyaki steak and the sauce was not good at all so it made the beef taste funny. The sushi that I did try was dynamite roll, and it had cooked shrimp in it so it was actually pretty good and we also had sliced yellowtail tuna and it was pretty fresh and tasted good. We had pretty decent service and it was pretty loud in there so you did have to speak up to hear each other talk. I wouldn't mind coming back to try out some different sushi dishes.

Incredible Roll

Best Sushi place I have been to in DFW. Everyone is extremely friendly, good prices, great service and very clean restaurant. I highly recommend this place. Great atmosphere too. I love all their food but the pictures of the sushi are my favorites. They have 2 menus. One tells you exactly everything that's in them. Adult beverages also very yummy.

A spicy tuna and a spicy salmon roll. I got too excited and ate a piece before taking the photo.

Everything went perfectly. Easy parking in the shared lot. Immediately seated, greeted and the sweetest server waited on us. She was pleasant and efficient. The restaurant was clean and well staffed. The food was brought immediately and absolutely delicious. 5 stars.

An evening adventure. Always looking for a new restaurant. The photos and reviews of SUZUSHII were very good. We took it light tonight and only ordered 2 items. To test sushi restaurant we start with an Ahi Tower "The Tower". Our second order was the Phantom. Both were very delicious. The area is very open , reducing an intimate setting. Once a baby started screaming the noise level escalated. Felt compassion for the young couple who just wanted a nice meal. All was well and will return.

Sunshine Roll was delicious!

Absolutely delicious and affordable prices for very fresh sushi! One of my favorite sushi spots.

I honestly have not found a sushi place in the dfw area that beats this place, specifically the Mansfield location. I've never had a sushi roll here that I didn't care for, it's one of the few places where I'll order something new just to try different items. It's worth the wait if there is one. It's usually busy on the weekends, but they are good about getting tables in and out

This is the wife and I's go to sushi place. Her favorite is the Emerald Egg. She said there isn't a picture of it so I decided to post it.

Alaska roll was cooked, and took a very long time to come out. Too sweet and yucky!

I was pumped because not many places around Mansfield/Arlington seem to offer it and it really enhanced the experience of sushi. Unfortunately, I paid 1.99 for the fresh wasabi and received the regular wasabi paste.. which was fine, but usually that's standard at sushi places and not extra. I really was set to enjoy the rougher cut wasabi. Otherwise, I did order two California rolls for my kid and I, garlic Cajun edamame, pork gyoza and another roll (it had shrimp tempura and eel, but I can't remember the name). It was my first time trying the eel roll and I thought it was good. The California rolls were solid and my son enjoyed the gyoza potstickers. We came in on a Saturday around 3pm and the place was totally empty, but the staff was very nice and courteous when we entered to pick up our order. It took no time to put together and we enjoyed our sushi at home minus the fresh wasabi. It was also very clean in there. The quest is still on to find a place with the wasabi, but this was a nice place to stop! Thank you to the staff for the kindness.

Right off the bat we were greeted by a friendly worker. He looked like he was alone, and the place was quiet. It sounded like someone was playing music through the phone from their speaker; so there was some faint noise. The place looked nice still though, and we were immediately sat down. The main plates on the sushi belt were 3.95, and we both had a couple of plates. The food was good; I have no complaints on that part. However, when we ordered on the tablet for specific plates, we found ourselves waiting way too long between orders. It took us about 10 minutes for one of my plates only, and then another 10 minutes for the rest of the plates. We also kept eye on the conveyor belt, but we noticed it was scarce with plates. Coupled with the speed, it felt extremely slow for us to keep enjoying the space when it took a long time to get our sushi. In the end, my friend had ordered two basic salmon plates that we ended up not getting after 20 minutes. We asked for it to be taken off our check, to which our waiter kindly agreed. So... would I come here again? Probably not. The food was good, but the waiting times between make it not worthwhile for me. I wished the service was better.

We ordered a variety of things including multiple nigiri pieces, California roll, tiger roll, green tea cheesecakes and mango mocha ice cream. I liked everything I tried! My son really loved the presentation of all the food and he enjoyed eating here. The only thing I wish they had was fresh wasabi (only certain sushi places have it in this area it seems), but otherwise it was delicious! We definitely will come back!

The noodles were everyone's fave! They fail with the details though. We came at open so that means no one checked to make sure that all items were ready for customers prior to open. Also there was some type of ventilation issue. The smoke from the hibachi lingered and there air in the restaurant was kind of "stale". We also had to ask for little things that should have been standard (ice with our drinks, napkins, etc) and waited a long time to close put out ticket. I think it just depends on the server and chef that you get. The table across from us had great service with no issues from the looks of it. Not sure if I'd call this the best hibachi in DFW. It's a step up from Benihana in terms of quality but I wouldn't go out of my way to try it out.
