Host friendly, very clean with an outdoor patio. Coffee was very light, had to ask for butter, looked and tasted like margarine, syrup did not taste like real maple syrup. Will definitely go back. Also it's just over a small bridge - walkable from the rest of the restaurants and bars - so it's location is close to everything that is downtown. Clean and dog friendly. While visiting Ensenada we went to breakfast here per one of our cousins suggestion. We had brought our dog with us and they are dog friendly. The wait time was a little long so we decided to just order to go so that we can start our day. Once we ordered we received our order in about 10 min. I got waffle with cajeta, banana & pecans. It was so delicious but I do love cajeta. The hubby got their take of chicken and waffle. It was very tasty as well and the waffle was nice and fluffy. Next time we visit would love to go back and sit down to eat. I saw someone got french toast and it looked so good so we will definitely try that next. read more

We love ENSENADA! Everytime we drove by, we always wondered about this place. We arrived monday morning and not a single soul. We considered it was lonely because it was an early monday morning. This place is such a vibe. Bright colors, great food, and great service. The waffle was very soft, and filling. I got the strawberry new york cheesecake waffle. Its cream cheese and strawberry jelly. Just looking at it, I thought it would be over powering but it was not. The cream cheese and the jelly paired perfectly! My partner got the waffle, eggs and bacon. He said it waa the perfect bite. This was my second time in. Short walk from my crappy motel to this wonderful little waffle shop. This trip I ordered the traditional waffle and a hot cup of joe. Coffee is very dark as you'll find in most of Mexico. Lots of cream needed for this gringo. Hard to believe it's been a year since my first visit here. Even harder to believe I didn't leave a review the first time. Today my waffle wasn't great. Very dense. Not crispy on the outside and not fluffy on the inside. Dense is the only word I can think of. Excellent breakfast and brunch spot. The waffles are near perfect batter wise, very big, and they have them in a configuration for just about anyone. Iv had the Reese's waffle ( it's enough for two being it's drowned in chocolate, Carmel, a large scoop of ice cream!) and the standard waffle, eggs and bacon. Both were excellent. Their milkshakes are also good, they are pretty thin but the ingredients and fruit seem to be very fresh. The venue is very nice, being near the big bridge crossing into their downtown area. Hands down the worst place we have visited in Ensenada. Went there for breakfast, service was good, at first. Coffee was served quickly and was an excellent roast. Ordered the Supremo waffle. (Actually, my fiancee ordered in fluent Spanish, native speaker.) Two other tables that came in at the same time were served first. When ours arrived, it was the wrong order. It was a plain waffle with 2 stringy over cooked pieces of bacon and what appeared to be half a scrambled egg. We let our waitress know and she said nothing, just walked off. During the next 15 minutes, our waitress glared and avoided us. She even ignored an upraised hand and an "excuse me" twice as she walked by. A nearby table even commented on it. We finally asked the busboy what was going on. a few minutes later, the waitress dropped off a frozen hash brown. One that had been barely fried and was lukewarm to the touch. We dropped $10 on the table and went inside to the counter. There were 2 women at the counter. I asked for the manager and was told that they both were. We laid out our situation and one manager began to look angry. She finally interrupted us to say, repeatedly, "It only comes with 1 egg." Completely missing the point of the whole thing being wrong to begin with. The busboy came up at that point with the $10 we had left and informed us that we forgot our change. I let the one manager that was not being rude know that the $10 was to pay for the basic waffle. At no time did anyone acknowledge that the waitress screwed up or even apologized. I do not recommend this place to anyone. 1 star was the lowest I could put down. read more

This probably wasn't my favorite part of our trip. The waffles were average and not the best. Peanut butter & strawberry jelly over powered the "Chicago" waffle. It would do better with less. The waffle my son ordered with the Oreo cookies maybe could have been crushed Oreos? not half of a cookie. The churro waffle was a hit with the oldest son. Came to Mr. & Mrs.Waffle once again on our weekend visit and I can say that the food has stayed consistent, but the servers seem overwhelmed and forgetful. They have one waitress covering eight tables. Including busing the table so the place is busy then I would consider taking a table because there will be a significant wait time with poor service. Great place of you catch it on a slow time, but if they are too busy, you might want to check out another spot. read more

They really just sell waffles here but they are big in portions and have a good variety of sweet and savory ones. The cafe is really cute, situated right on the corner. Plenty of street parking available and right across the street from the police station. They have a really adorable outdoor dining area which is where we sat. Even though it was in the middle of December, it was still sunny, warm and just too beautiful not to sit outside. Servers here are very nice and attentive, some speak english, some don't. The do offer a spanish and english menu as well. If you are a low-carb eater (no starch or sugar), you pretty much have ONE option...order a side of eggs and bacon, which is what I ended up ordering (2 orders of bacons and 4 eggs). Everything else is waffles, smoothies, yogurt, and....more waffles. The rest of my party had sweet waffles, savory waffles, yogurt and smoothie and they all seemed very satisfied with their meals. This place is awesome. Came here and got the fruit waffles and my boyfriend got the waffles with egg and bacon. It was pretty crowded when we went around 8:30 in the morning. The waffles are big and I had a hard time finishing mine but it was delicious. Usually I don't like sweet breakfasts or even waffles for that matter, but these were heavenly.
