Visited Mr. Z's because TikTok said it was a must-try when in Key West. LOL! I got there around 10:30 PM on Monday night. It's a very spot, with just enough standing room for a few people inside and a couple of high-top tables outside to enjoy your pizza. It's located a few storefronts down from Duval Street, and there was a steady flow of people coming in and out, so it was definitely busy, but not overwhelming. I still received my pizza in about 10 minutes, which I appreciated. We ordered a large pizza, half Philly cheesesteak and half chicken. The Philly cheesesteak pizza is actually the one that's been the most hyped on TikTok, so I was especially excited to try it. I originally wanted to just grab a slice, but they only offer cheese and pepperoni by the slice, so keep that in mind. The pizza came out hot, fresh, and looked really good. However, the taste didn't quite match the hype for me. The steak and chicken both lacked seasoning, which made the overall flavor fall a bit flat. It wasn't horrible, but it definitely could have been much better with a little more seasoning. Been coming to Zs since they have been open. As of recent all employees have left or been let go other than a few. The rudest of all still there. Food has been undercooked, overcooked, skimp, or just lack of care I think. Witnessed a lady weighing pizzas at one point. Mike originally ran well. Now it seems profit is more important than quality service. Was my favorite spot for pizza here but I'd rather try my luck down the road. Used to be lively and fun. Now just depressing and sub par. I just wanted to give Mr. Z's some recognition for something that really stood out to me. I was watching Shane Madej from the Watcher YouTube channel during their investigation of the Key West Lighthouse, and Shane ordered a pizza from Mr. Z's while they were filming late at night. What impressed me was that the staff were kind enough to make sure he could still pick up his pizza even after they had closed. They could have easily said sorry, we're closed, but instead they went out of their way to help him out. That kind of kindness and customer service says a lot about a local business. Stopped by Mr Zs, no line and quick ordering. Staff was very friendly and helpful, the interior is primarily for to go orders. Pizza had a very off taste from the cheese, very off putting, dough was soggy from sauce over load. **Disclaimer** When I entered the shop, it was filled with heavy smoke from a burning oven. Two tiny tables outside with a countertop for eating inside if you can manage not to get hit by other customer's elbows.
