Stay far far away from MRE property management. Be very careful speaking with Shalove Geter. She will come across polite and willing to help, etc.. But as soon as you pay application fees, etc., she could care less to help you in anyway. The platform to apply is confusing when applying with a co-applicant I was told that there were things missing that I clearly uploaded to their program. They told me I had 24 hours to send in the stuff that I had already sent in and if it was incorrectly sent in again that they would just move on to the next applicant, I feel like they just simply are there collecting as much money as they can on application fees and could care less. I should've gone with my gut instinct when my real estate agent and myself tried multiple times to get a hold of someone at MRE. It took 6 days to finally speak with Shalove. All we seem to reach was what appeared to be an answering service because I guess nobody is ever in the office. Shalove was never disrespectful and condescending once she collected ($225 in app fees). Again, I should've gone with my gut instinct plus all of the other negative reviews that are out there on this company. Buyer Beware do not rent from or use them as a property manager!! read more

MRE Property management is a joke! As a business focused on professionalism, and customer service; they do a terrible job. I'm a single mom (not asking for pity, just clarifying .) When I found the rental they had I was so excited for it to be in my budget! Little did I know renting with them came with another price .. emotional turmoil! The first week I moved in the AC and dishwasher were already broken. I paid my rent AND deposit 2 WEEKS prior, in full, before moving in. So tell me why they had those two weeks to make sure the house was up to code, but failed? Then they took a total of 7 days to fix the AC. I had to get a hotel room one night because my children were sick and they never reimbursed me. They said they were not obligated to because they were "trying to fix the AC and legally that's all they're required to do," according to the lease. READ YOUR LEASE BEFORE SIGNING! The second time my AC went out it was 103 outside and it took them 6 days that time... I had continuous maintenance problems with them. After having a friend of mine call to nag at them because my nagging was doing nothing to speed up their slow "maintenance repairs": they said I was breaking the lease agreement for having someone in my home. Mind you, they never came to inspect + allllll the maintenance repairmen that had to go there to fix the issues saw i had no signs of ANYONE but my kids + I living inside the home. I told them I had my indoor ring cameras to prove it was only me there. They still insisted I was breaching the lease and asked me to leave instead of evict me. I wanted to ask them if the mail man should sign the lease since he was there everyday instead lmfao. I've waited months to leave a review because I wanted nothing more to do with this company. Although, I felt like warning anyone- maybe another single mom who sees the low rent and says "score!!" Double check these things. Especially double think doing any business with MRE. They're money hungry and just want to get you in and find a way to get you out so they can stash away those deposits!!! :) I absolutely am disgusted with the way our interactions went. I kept ALL the receipts and emails of their slum lord treatment as well! My rent was always paid a week or two in advance, and all I wanted was them to take care of the home I was trying to keep safe for my kids. Luckily my old landlords let me into one of their newer rentals but remember the stress and hell they caused me for all the nonsense. Employees are clueless, constantly give the run around, tell false & conflicting information, and seemingly live for wasting the time of clients. I had the pleasure of meeting Shalove when we got our first rental property in the DFW area. After personally talking to and interviewing 6 differentproperty management companies we decided to proceed with MRE Property Management - My wife and i trusted Shalove and she and the team were extremely dilligent with the hunt for the right tenant and the care for the property. I lived at a property and was pretty quiet and took great care of the place. Shalove was the manager. Shalove was rude to me from the very beginning to the very end. I will thankfullt never have to deal with the property management company ever again, but they really did me dirty in the end. I don't even want to get into details because it's too much. This is my second time resigning my lease with this property and I am soooo very happy I found them!!! Ms ShaLove and Grace ( I BELIVE that's her name) are the ones I deal with mostly and they are just the sweetest people in the world!!! I absolutely love how prompt the company is with fixing issues and returning calls and messages! Any concerns I've ever had living here they have helped me with!!! They are very understanding, and willing to help however they can with anything concerning your place! when I first moved here I was transitioning from apartments to a home and they were very helpful and patient with this process! If I ever move from this location ( they may have to put me out lol I love it here) I will definitely be looking for another place under their management!!! This is the worst property management company I have ever experienced. They used to be known as "Westrom Group" now known as "MRE" the only thing that changed was the name! I live in one of their properties and back in January 2021 about a week in advance they sent out notification that appraisers would be entering our homes to do appraisals. I was out of town at the time and called the property management because I would have preferred to be home while this appraisal was happening. Covid was also still very bad at this time yet they still chose to send people through our homes. I was told they would call me back to reschedule my appraisal for when I was home. I never received a call back and when I arrived home it was very obvious someone had been in there. They went ahead and did the appraisal anyways with no further communication. After talking with my neighbors I found out they entered our homes without masks, and without uniform. Completely unsanitary and unprofessional. My lease ended today 5/11/2021 and I didn't receive any communication from MRE property management until I sent an email regarding a $60 charge on my account for an air filter. That same day I received a DocuSign and phone call from a property manager. The property manager known as Ekaterina tried to offer me a new year lease and when I asked about month to month she could not provide any information and said she would get back to me. A week later 5/10/2021 I finally received an email about needing to send in a copy of my license for the DocuSign in order to be sent a lease renewal. I sent my license over around 2pm and still never received a lease renewal. It is now 5/11/2021 my lease ends today and I still have not received a lease renewal. A rather simple process was made extremely stressful and difficult when it did not have to be. The only reason I signed another year lease with this company is because that's what I can afford right now but that is exactly what they're counting on! My AC was not working properly so the sent a tech out to take a look. The tech replaced my air filter without communicating with me (I had my own air filters) and then MRE charged me $60 for this new air filter I did not need. Summer 2021 after I came home from vacation I noticed mold growing on my clothes, furniture, shoes, ect due to the humidity in my unit and I immediately made a work order. Not long after I submitted that work order I received a less than 30 day eviction notice and I was so confused and in shock as I had just signed a year long lease a few months prior. Shelove Geter reached out to me and made it clear that they had not signed their portion of the lease which meant I was on a month to month contract. They attempted to help fix the mold problem but it was still very damp in my apartment and it always smelled horrible. After two years of living there I finally moved out June 1 2022. I put in my leave request May 18th, 2022 and never heard if my request was approved or denied. I made a second move out request and finally hear back from my property manager. Ekaterina told me I was required to give them 60 days notice on a month to month lease. Due to just buying a home and finances I was unable to do that and gave them only a few weeks notice just as they did me when they tried to evict me for no reason at all. The day I moved my washer and dryer out I was there for a few more ours afterwards and there was no sign of dripping water. Two days later I received an email from Shelove Geter stating that I left my water valve on and it flooded my neighbors apartment and that I would be responsible for the damages. A faulty valve should not be a tenants responsibility especially when the property management did not do their due diligence to stop the drip from the valve and instead let it create as much damage as possible. I was a good tenant, always paid my rent on time, never had any complaints, and even clean. Happy to be out of there! Anxious to see the bill theyre giving me 10 days to pay before sending to collections. INVESTORS BEWARE BEWARE! INVESTORS BEWARE BEWARE! DO NOT HIRE MRE TO MANAGE YOUR PROPERTY. Ms Sirlove and her team are just awful they will run your property in the ground all your tenants will move and you will be left holding the bag. I truly believe this property management companys Real agenda is to make your property practically worthless and they go in and buy it from you dirt cheap. Well that's not gonna happen with me there's subcontractors are below par I have turned over thousands of dollars to this company and I still do not have branches off my roof, therefore I am going to have to hire my own contractor to go over there and cut the branches off the roof or I am going to have to hire a roofer to come in and replace the roof. We all know that a roof is highly expensive these days. If you want to go into their office and ask them a question you have to make an appointment first they keep their office door locked at all times and if you do not have an appointment you do not see them or go in even if it's just for a relevant question. Now I know that you're thinking well why didn't you just call them, good question I did and no one answered the phone. In fact if any of your tenants call them too often or if you the investor who pays their salary call them too often they screen all their calls and they start refusing to take yours or your tenants. Very unprofessional. I have had a vacancy for over a month now and they have yet to even started the make ready on it so I have lost money on that one and this is the first vacancy of mine that they have to deal with and so far it is not going well, and I'm going to hate to see the bill that they send me for the make ready on this unit because like all the other bills that have come across my desk have been outrageous. I do know that this property was supposed to be cleaned up by some of their subcontractors for almost 2 months now I'm pretty sure I got a bill from them but I have yet to see any improvement. Some of the tenants have told me that they have cut them in multiple lies the tenants complain that this property management company has told them over and over again that someone would be out to clean up the property and the tenants all stay home that day that The property management company says they are coming/or subcontractors the tenants takeoff a day of work to be there to make sure that none of their own property gets removed by mistake or flat out stolen, but yet no one has come out even though they state a day and time which when they are supposed to be there. This property management company claims they are the only property management company in Arlington which is not true so investors beware I wished I would have researched them a little better. If there is really a route to all evil it is this place, or so for investors/tenants alike keep your heads held up move forward and do not rent from them any property that they manage, investors there's plenty of good property management companies in Arlington so do your homework and any of them that you choose Hass to be better than this one. read more

Ongoing construction on the 2nd floor of our building has been going on for five-month with almost no communication from management and with work evening happening on weekends. Like the other review listed here and the reviews on their Facebook and with the Better Business Bureau, I would highly suggest that potential renters do not do business with this company. Shalove and her staff at MRE property management are extremely unprofessional. My experience with them involved calling the police because they tried to break into my rental property without proper permission or notification, they withheld a portion of my security deposit for items that were not legitimate and were in a violation of the lease agreement, and I had to hire an attorney to deal with them because of their aggressive manner and unwillingness to act in a civil manner, Those experiences occurred in a time span of about a month after the owner of the property had just hired them the last two months of my rental agreement. Please heed the warnings and find a more reputable company to do business with. read more
