Mac & Cheese , Hush Puppies , Pulled Pork Plate

We tried this BBQ place when it first moved in, sit down lunch date, It was ok. We decided to try it again Wife and I ordered the same meal this time, the Mac and cheese tasted like the Bob Evens kits from Walmart, not even a cup. Hush puppies were all dark tasting burnt . Then the Meat, just like the first time DRY brisket, enough meat to make two sandwiches each plate. But didn't finish eating it. Sorry we will never order from there again.

Pretty dang good barbecue. First thing I have to say is a personal preference;I like my rib to fall off the bone. Second the sausage taste like a hamburger. It's literally ground beef in there. And the pulled pork is a bit dry and salty. otherwise, I like how you can just seat yourself pick whatever table you would like. They greet you right when you walk in. It's cozy small nothing fancy. I would eat there again if I'm craving a barbecue, the prices are not too bad at all.

Eggs- so good! Ribs- delicious Sausage- good Mac n cheese- so so Cornbread- very good Pulled pork- delicious Slaw- I really liked and others thought so so Tacos- good but taco shells were so so ( I think she said they were dry Would definitely go back.

We've been trying to get here for a while and finally, success! We got there last minute so I didn't get to try the Twinkie's but next time yesssss. Staff was friendly and patient. Food was tasty! Yummy brisket. My cornbread was a tad dry but had potential!! The purple peas were surprisingly delicious too. Nice interior, very clean.

My adult beverage. It was very yummy.

Food was absolutely amazing. Some of the best bbq I have had. The wings and ribs and pulled pork were outstanding. The smoke flavor was fabulous. You didn't have to add any of their homemade BBQ sauce at all the meat was good alone.

The service was so friendly and nice (like everyone was!). The bbq was perfect. The slaw was good, it was vinegar based. All the bbq sauces were vinegar like and not like a sweet thick bbq. The Mac and cheese was lacking, could be creamier and maybe have some salt and pepper on the table for it. Overall best bbq I've had up here and I'm from SC

Newly opened in Rochester, NH. Mississippi Style Barbecue Pulled Pork w/Baked Beans, Smoked Macaroni & Cheese w/ Corn bread. Also Added 1/2 lb. Beef Brisket and Smoked Peach Cobbler. Cobbler made with fresh peaches from Union Lake Peach Orchards. My wife chose Pulled Pork, baked beans, cole slaw and corn bread. All served traditionally with no sauce but their signature sauce is available on the table should you choose. With fresh made Lemonade and Sweet Tea along with a list of ales and drinks available. I ordered the 2 item BBQ plate ($19.99) with brisket (+$2) and smoked chicken. For the 2 included sides, I ordered cucumber salad and garlic corn. I also ordered the 12pc smoked chicken ($12.99) to share w/a friend. This all arrived w/in 5 minutes, with the owner bringing out the food. I didn't expect there'd be some table service - a pleasant surprise. He was nice too, pointing out the various sauces available by the utensils. The brisket was a bit uneven. The point was tender, but the flat was a bit tough. The smoked chicken seemed juicy throughout with a taut skin. The 12-pc smoked chicken had that and also a slight heat to its rub. The sides were satisfactory. The cucumber salad was light and not over-acidified, and the garlic corn tasted like corn tossed in oil with seasoning (aka delicious). Portion sizes seemed generous. I took home half of the plate and wings.

If you're with a bigger group, definitely get the family plate to try a little bit of everything. You get four large sides, half a chicken, jalapeño cheddar sausage, brisket, pulled pork, and ribs. We got the Cole slaw, Mac and cheese, collard greens, and fries as a side. The Cole slaw was eh, but everything else was fantastic. And the meats of course are the stars of it all! But the mac and cheese? Oh wow that is so good. And the jalapeño cheddar cornbread is even better. Not dry at all--most yet crispy on the sides from the grill. But finishing it off with the German chocolate flourless cake is the best part at the end. So decadent... The service is always great when you go here. Every time I've been, I'm pleased with how fast everything is brought out. And it is always consistently delicious. It's crazy to think this is in Maine and not from somewhere known for BBQ. But I'm grateful it's close by!

Definitely dine in here, preferably on the patio, which has great water views. This visit we got takeout. We ordered a platter with ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and chicken. Texas napkins are upon request. The platter came with four sides, so we got collared greens, Mac and cheese, fries, and beans. Each of the BBQ items was slightly dry, maybe because we got takeout instead of dining in. The brisket had a nice Smokey flavor and the ribs were meaty. The chicken was also seasoned well, although I wish the bbq sauce for each item was a bit thicker. The bbq sauce they offer is watery and doesn't stick to any of the items. The sides were decently sized, and the Mac and cheese and fries were delicious. The collared greens were a bit sweet for us and those went largely uneaten by the group.

So on our way up to Bartlett, we stopped in. The lot was jammed, and we had to fight for a spot. A good sign. We managed to find our way into the Market & Butcher shop; which was packed. But we didn't wait long. Everything these days is expensive, but the meat here is reasonably priced. Dare I say cheap ?!?! {You can see the prices in the photos} The selection is vast, and they carry other items besides meat. Wine, meals to go, chips & snacks, soups, bread, beer, etc. Next time, maybe I'll try the restaurant.

We're traveling back from an antique shop in Maine and decided to try this place out. Got to the restaurant around 3 PM were seated right away the seating that we were in only had three tables and it was quite busy as it was in the walking area to and from the back seating and the butcher so there's a lot of traffic in that seating area It was quite noisy in the back seating area as it carried over to the front We were made aware of the specials and today was buy one get one lobster rolls. I was excited to hear about that because I'm a super fan of seafood and lobster included so of course I went with the $25 portion without the bread because I didn't want the bread. You can tell the difference in my photo of lobster versus other photos mine looks as if it was the bottom of the barrel As for the flavor and taste of the lobster, I was not a fan of it. It was very dry rubbery it seemed to be soaked in some sort of an oil or something that didn't compliment it at all as for the portion size that was good I will not go back for buy one get one lobster roll I don't believe this is fresh lobster this seems frozen not good at all My husband's burger, he enjoyed the chicken portion of the burger, but the actual burger itself was burnt on both sides, making it very tough and dry to eat When the plate arrived, it looked a little un appetizing. It had two slices of pickle crossed over and then the burger. I think the plate that they used could be changed maybe use a wood block as it is a butcher shop as well. All of the staff were dressed appropriately. You could tell that they worked there. Our server waitress was very friendly very attentive to our needs. The place was very clean. Our total bill came to $63 and we left a $20 tip which I didn't find to be unreasonably priced for the amount of food we got but again as for flavoring of the food I was not a fan I won't return
